This is our second purchase of the mini jumbuck cool wool and we chose to buy another 2 in Double size to fit the new beds. We just love them as they are light in weight and perfect for warmth and comfort when needed. The mix of cotton and wool being natural fibres make them safe but perfectly warm in winter. We also like the fact that we are supporting an Australian company and Assie farmers.A great product and our thanks to Myers for giving us great advise. I already have the "gold" Minijumbuk wool quilt for winter. Despite living in Qld with a very open and airy style house I feel the cold in winter and love that quilt. I bought the "everyday" version for my adult son and he loves it all year round if needed. So I now needed a new spring quilt to replace the old polyester one I had. I am so happy with the brand, quality and that it is Australian that I didn't consider any other alternatives - its too expensive to get it wrong. I recently purchased a king bed so have purchased a super king size to cover the ends of the bed. I already have a queen size cool quilt and due to my allergies I can not use polyester quilts as I tend to overheat whilst sleeping. This quilt is great when going into summer, I don't sweat and it's cozy enough for Sydney spring. Add it on top of another wool blanket for Autumn or Winter. I was happy to purchase the same product as I have been happy with it.

Fantastic quality and perfect for the warmer nights leading into summer. A light blanket over the top is enough when the odd cooler night hits. The cotton cover is wonderfully silky and soft. The weight is light with still enough loft to be able to snuggle in. Seems to be really breathable with just the right amount of warmth to keep comfortable
Currently using for hot Queensland nights. I chose this one instead of the extra cool because I like a slightly weighted doona and I also sleep in air con in summer anyway. The doona is great, I don't overheat (I am a hot sleeper), and the quality is beautiful. Even the casing of the doona feels luxurious. I think this doona will also suffice in Queensland winter's.
Very happy with this quilt overall. High quality feel, nice and soft and cozy. Stays put well inside the cover. Although if I could return it and exchange for the super cool one, I would as it’s still a tad warm for my liking but it’s not returnable so I’ll be sleeping without it on the extra hot nights. Purchased it on 50% off sale which was a must due to the big price tag on this.
Absolutely love our MiniJumbuck quilt. We had previously bought a warm one, which we were finding was too heavy in summer, so we already knew they were great quality. The cool quilt still has some weight in it, but its much better for summer. It would be fine all year round in a warmer climate. The cover of the quilt is silky and great quality. Myer was selling it for half price, so it was fantastic to get such a bargain. Thanks Myer!
I haven't had much success with quilts, I always find them too hot. Also I find wrangling with quilt covers a pain. When I was a child we had eiderdowns and my mother didn't have to bother with quilt covers. Nevertheless I purchased this quilt as it was advertised as all seasons and because I do actually need something warm on the bed in winter and for cool summer nights too. This quilt is made of wool and cotton and has a lovely cover, really it's a shame to cover it up. Therefore I haven't and have purchased instead a good quality linen sheet to use as a quilt covering. Overall I have had a great sleep since using this quilt, not hot at all.
I love the mini jumbuck wool quilt range and they just seem to get better and better! I really like that I can machine wash them too. Or even just to air it regularly to not have to wash. This wool cotton blend one I find great for spring and autumn and I pair it with a full wool quilt for winter. This replaced an older one I had and am very happy with it. I do like the little bit of weight for that cosy feeling from a wool quilt. I find the double bed size is just right for my king single mattress given how high the mattresses are these days.
This is my first cool rated, 225gsm wool quilt. We set aside our 500gsm wool quilt until next winter.When I read other reviews saying how much comfort was afforded by a wool quilt, they seemed a little obsessive. How can a bed covering provide that much of a "luxury" feel? Now, having tried wool, I am overwhelmed by the same comfort feeling they spoke of. I am a cold sleeper, rarely warm enough and wearing multiple layers. A wool quilt keeps me warm, keeps the bed warm. I can turn over without feeling like I'm going to freeze. Even this light quilt is effective at keeping the comfort high, and my "hot sleeper" husband doesn't overheat.
