The snorkel was purchased by our grandson PJ with some of his Xmas money. He has had a great time in the pool with it. It is great for kids. The Anthem Spin rod, this was my Xmas present to self but have not been able to test out as yet. It is a beautiful rod. I recommend everyone to visit the Noosa BCF Store, as the staff are the friendliest and most obliging and knowledgeable people you could ever wish to deal with.

I agree with another reviewer here - the breathing slot is way too narrow & makes it too hard to breathe through. Even my daughter's set (also Mirage brand), which has a narrower snorkel tube, is easier to breathe through than this. I've done a lot of snorkeling over the years and have never come across something like this. Fortunately BCF gave me a full refund, even though I'd used it, based on it likely being a faulty product. Looking at the snorkels in the other Mirage packs (that come with mask & flippers), the breathing slot of those snorkels looked reasonable, so it could just be this particular snorkel sold individually.
I have tried using this while swimming laps but it is quite narrow and not enough air comes through. Might be ok for less strenuous activity.
Unfortunately I bought two of these, upgrading old snorkels! A snorkelling trip was almost ruined when we both found we had to really drag the air through and were soon exhausted. Fortunately we had one old snorkel to revert to and so trip wasn’t totally wasted.
Product does actually what is suppose to do. No issues.
Top section restricts your breathing intake through the snorkel.
Had trouble breathing because of the small section for getting air in so had to returned and get a refund.
