Equipped with shock absorbing gel grip Mechanical pencil Unialpha gel. Hard type. 0.5 mm. A model equipped with a shakashaka mechanism that brings out the core when shaken. Excellent fit. An easy-to-grip and less tiring grip that fits according to the individual way of holding. Outstanding ease of grip keeps you focused. Concentration continues. High resilience = stability The new grip is a "hard" high resilience gel. As the hardness increases, so does the repulsive force. At the beginning of gripping, you can feel the softness of alpha gel, and during writing, the gel becomes hard and stable as it tries to return to its original state.

I got this as a gift from my friend who had purchased the pencil for both herself and I. When I had the pencil I was SO super in love with it, the shaker option worked amazing, although I did find sometimes that the lead would come out too much... but was simply a minor issue and it wasn't even that bad or irked me in any way. The grip on the pencil happened to be just fantastic! I loved the comfortable grip and the fact it was squishy and green. like, who can say no to that? My only legitimate issue with the pencil itself was that it was a bit on the bulkier side and could get a bit heavy at times in your hand. I happen to own a fairly small pencil bag for on the go. so the bulky factor did get a little annoying. as for the heavy part, really not a problem at all, ... Otherwise love it, recommend it, good for everyday use and drawing. Now, I did use to own this pencil. unfortunately it was stolen by someone in my school and was never returned to me.this honestly tore me up so much having loved the pencil to pieces. literally so torn. I cried (not lying, true story). I had grown so attached to it that i felt so sad when i found it gone, and the way i searched... ugh i searched for it so long i missed my ride home from school. that day was horrible. anyway that was how much i loved that pencil, and i intend to purchase another one. oh and the fact that it was stolen tells you that my pencil was an object of envy. this is proof of the amazingness of this pencil. and no, im not saying that if you have/intend to purchase this pencil its guaranteed to be stolen. i mean like it could happen to your regular wooden pencil too so that is not something to fear in this case.anyway hope this helped you! :)

I love this pencil.Seriously, it's kind of silly how much I enjoy using this pencil. I have a moderately hard grip on my pencil and after a while my fingers would start to hurt. With this particular pencil that just about never happens. The squishy grip is honest to god worth the 10 dollars this pencil is priced at.The shaker mechanism is cool but the squish is much better. Sometimes the ?ball? inside the pen that pushes out the led gets stuck and you gotta really shake it to get it loose. This is pretty rare and might just be because i've had this particular pencil for at least 2-3 years now. It does work as you would expect the rest of the time though. I will admit to getting a little too used to the shaker option and shaking non shaker pencils lmaoThe ... MoreI love this pencil.Seriously, it's kind of silly how much I enjoy using this pencil. Out of all the alpha gels I own, this is by far my favorite. The grip is squishy, but not too squishy. The shaker mechanism is also very effective. My recently discovered a small rip in the grip (haha that rhymes ok sorry XD), but no material is leaking out (unlike the other gruesome looking alpha gels I have seen at my school...dirty grips, used erasers, squishy stuff leaking out...yuck). The color of the body is also a cool gray with a little sparkle in it (I find that very attractive), and the grip is a little gradient from light to dark gray (also attractive). However, when I take the grip off of the skeleton of the pencil, I find that in between the layers, there are bubbles, and the thin material is beginning to yellow. But this doesn't affect the overall look ... MoreOut of all the alpha gels I own, this is by far my favorite. The grip is squishy, but not too squishy. The shaker mechanism is also very effective. I bought this as a gift for someone, but I had to test it out before giving it. Whattt. The grip is soft and comfortable (despite being medium firm!) Creative use of a locking shaker mechanism if I've ever seen one. The shaker is also quiet which surprised me. I don't mind the high grip. You also have to get used to not pressing too hard to advance the lead and not locking the shaker mechanism.
from a student that has been using this pen for a long while, i can certainly say there’s pros and cons.pros:1. the squishy part of the pen is so perfect and provides my hand a lot of comfort.2. the shaker aspect is so amazing, that i love it so much. i’m always using it, and i enjoy it very much.cons:1. this is more personal to me, and this has become a reoccurring problem, especially in my stance because i rend to forget. i write very close to the tip, and because i got this pen because of the squishy-ness, i realize the way i write won’t allow my fingers to come in contact with the squishy-ness. so i have to reposition my hand in a way to allow my fingers to touch the squishy aspect of the pencil. if they can make the squishy part closer to the tip, it ... BUT with all my past mistakes, i learned and got myself a new one. take my mistakes into consideration, it’ll make tour experience so much better.
A solid mechanical pencil, the grip is very squishy and comfortable. Shaker function is fun. Only problem is it's way too heavy for my preferences. Live and learn, I wish a grip this comfortable was offered on a lightweight pencil.
Pros- feels well-built; heavy; expensive- aesthetic design- super comfortable grip- shaking mechanism + normal clicking to extend lead~ clicking the pencil firmly will lock the mechanism to prevent it from extending lead while the pencil is stored- metal clipCons- microscopic eraser hidden under click cap- can't hold pencil too close to tip; will lose grip- silicon grip attracts dust and hair
I love this pencil!! I clench my pencils so hard that my hands ache after only a few minutes of writing. This pencil has the softest grip ever, and the shaking mechanism is fantastic. It would be perfect- if the cap would stay on. After a year of use, the cap will no longer stay on the pencil, which is a real shame, since this pencil is so fantastic. I will be trying the Alpha Gel Slim pencil in the meantime to see if I like the slim body better. Overall, I will probably repurchase this in the future unless I find something better.
My favorite mechanical pencil. Japan import. Desired for two reasons. First, it has a super-squishy finger grip which is not only easy on the fingers for long periods of writing, but helps lock the pencil to the hand, giving better control. Second, the pencil uses a different lead advance method than the standard rear button pushing (though it does both) - shaking. It actually becomes a more natural motion than reaching back to thumb advance it, as I find myself doing that habitually with non-shaker pencils, so used to it I've become. Nice range in grip colors too. My choice is the yellow-green one. I understand these are rather popular in Japan, a place where they have a greater love of stationary products and have more innovative ones offered.
