I have been using Wave Inspire for 10 years recreationally. Ran a few marathons and lots of half's.But it felt as if the angle of the Inspire increased a little. It felt as if it was pushing my foot more forward. So, I switched to Wave Runner. However, I am feeling the difference. Without the support, my knee has been less comfortable.I have already bought another pair of Wave Runners, but I will switch back to Wave inspire in 3-4 months. Wave inspire has protected my knees for many years.

I use this shoe for daily workouts and three miles runs.Initially I was underwhelmed with the feel of the shoe. They were stiff, the cushioning felt unsupportive, and the upper kept rubbing against my ankle which seemed odd. However, after a day or two of normal wear they fell much better, no more stiffness, the cushion feels much more supportive, and no more rubbing my ankle.Pros:I purchased these because of reviews promoting heel support while running. Having had issues in the past of heel strain this shoe has not given me any trouble. These are very light weight, and breath well, making runs less burdensome. The wider sole at the forefoot provides excellent stability during weight training.Cons:The initial fit and feel is underwhelming, and can take a few ... MoreI use this shoe for daily workouts and three miles runs.Initially I was underwhelmed with the feel of the shoe. These shoes saved my running. I had a major Achilles issue for 3-5 years which was diagnosed as being caused by running shoes tilting. I went looking for a show with a stable heel and this was recommended by Athlete's foot. Also purchased the $50 inner soles. These shoes are great and my heel feels like it is getting a gentle massage when running. The previous pains have all gone after 6 months and I get minor soreness sometimes now for maybe an hour after (this is decreasing all the time). Highly recommended - do not have enough superlatives to describe these shoes. Just need to run more now.

I have mild to moderate overpronation. My initial introduction to the Wave Inspire was with the Series 12 model, which was a great running shoe for me. I also have the Wave Inspire 15. However, I felt that there was a long break-in period (about 50 miles) before they truly felt comfortable for me during my runs. With the Wave Inspire 16, I felt these provided the cushioning and stability I have always enjoyed with the previous editions. However, there was no break-in period. These were comfortable straight out of the box. I have ran several 5Ks and 10Ks with these shoes, including a new 10K PR. I have not experienced any ankle or knee discomfort or pain. Mizuno did a great job with this latest update. Beside the True Blue, I also just acquired the Salmon Buff-Black.
So who knew that stability in a shoe when done right can actually make serious change in how you run. On the first run there was a burn-like sensation in a part of the foot that I had never felt anything in before so I thought “grrr money wasted!” After the run I realized that this feeling was in the mid-foot and for the first time I was not striking on the heels or rolling as much. On the second run the burn was not there. IF you don’t need this kind of stability then this shoe is not for you because you really feel the structure. But if you have aches and pains from poor form or know that’s in your future, you have to get these. (Disclosure: I did add a heel cushion to one shoe but that’s because that leg is slightly longer.)
Well, they look great...... The sizing is wrong though, they are 1/2 larger than they should be and they are very HOT to wear. They are decent shoes but so expensive and then you would not give ANY discounts at all, even though I have bought Mizunos for years, not even the email discount to complete the purchase would work. that made me very angry, I can't return them as I wore them to find out they are not the right size, so I am stuck wearing a shoe now for months that is to big even though every other Mizuno I have bought for years always fit perfectly. not real happy with your greedy company.
The shoes are very nice looking and provide good support, not as much as I thought but good. I have a bad joint disorder so need extra support and these do still cause some pain yet, The wave rider 22's were the greatest shoe BUT the new wave rider 23's are AWFUL so switched to this shoe. I saw other reviews about them being larger than size stated but figured it was just a one off but mine are DEFIANTLY a 1/2 size to big. I take 10.5 but these are more like 11's so be sure to go a 1/2 smaller when ordering. I would return but have to wear them to find out if they will work so then your stuck. I will have to wear this shoes for as long as possible being they cost 140$. Also I am not sure what has happened but I have worn the wave rider 22's for a long time and can ... MoreThe shoes are very nice looking and provide good support, not as much as I thought but good. But since the change all the shoes feel very hot and these Inspires are the same, feet get very very hot in them. But after trying the 3 pairs of other mizuno shoes and other brands trying to replace the 22's, these are the best option for me anyways.
I was having a real hard time finding replacement runners for a pair of Brooks which no longer being made. Reached to John Dube, who is the Running Room manager at the Bedford store, he knew a bit of my running his before I moved to Summerside PEI. He highly recommend that I try the Mizuno Inspire shoe, he spot on! The shoe is very comfortable with with good cushioning at both the heel and toe box and the right amount of arch support that I need. Thank you John Dube.
Undoubtedly the worse shoe I ever bought, within a week of wearing left shoe lace broke. The shoe was uncomfortable was more narrow than a wide 2E shoe . I have had Mizuno's before (the 14) and it was great also the (12) was great but I would never buy them again they have went way down hill. I had to purchase another pair from Road Runner this time I bought Brooks Dyad 11 and a pair Brooks Addiction 14. Never disappointed with Brooks. Threw the Mizunos in box at goodwill.. money thrown away .
I have them in black.Pros: These shoes are comfortable to wear since the first day and they look better than they are in the pictures. They are modernly stylish, one can see the white bottom part from top.Cons: They are supportive but not propelling, they do not give me the feeling that most new running shoes give me, providing the support that drives me to run faster. That might be explained by the relatively thin padding in the forepart (toes area). The finishing is average as one can tell by looking at the lining between parts of different materials.Overall, it is a solid good product. I would recommend to everyone and I would purchase again.
