Training for my first mini in September. Inspires have been my go to. Loved the 16s and have gone through two pairs of 17s. Tried the 18s no luck. Returned them hoping the 19s would have all the issues worked out. 19s are very narrow. Second return in two weeks. :( Super bummed.

I was trying to upgrade from some old Wave Rider 23s, but these are so uncomfortable I didn't even make it out of the house with them on my feet. The arch doesn't fit my foot at all and was hitting the back part of my inner arch near the heel. Unfortunately, I'll have to send these back and keep looking.

These runners are my second pair of Wave Inspires, loved them so much that when my first wore out (secretly still wearing for yard work) I knew I had to purchase them again! They’re fit true to size, so supportive, comfortable, and to be honest a good looking sneaker! I’m not a runner but do enjoy my time on the treadmill, these do not disappoint.

I do a dedicated 90 minute - 2 hour daily walk; running is more sporadic, but my shoes get a lot of work. I unfortunately have sensitive feet that bister easily. Our local running store turned me on to the Mizuno Wave Inspire back when it had Flyknit fabric (Wave inspire for over-pronation in 1 foot, Flyknit for toe blistering). Loved it! But the latest version of the Inspire 19 did not offer Flyknit any longer. I stuck with the Inspire but with regular fabric, and blistering became an issue again.I finally called Mizuno today to ask if Flyknit will come back. I was told it was replaced with SSW (Smooth, Stretch, Woven). I was happy to know there was another fabric option now that I am ready to re-order again. However, when I looked at what was available with the SSW fabric, the color choices were terrible! Black, light gray and pastel peach, ugh, very blah.Mizuno doesn't have all the fun and fashionable colors that some other good running brands do, but they do have the best stability that works for me. It is very frustrating that they don't get some designs and colors that are for those of us who enjoy fashionable colors while we are pounding the pavement.Overall this is a fantastic shoe and it really lasts longer than my other brands have, it is just a shame that they have such uninspired and basic design.
They finally got the weight under 9 ounces! Though I still think even more weight could be removed, that is definitely a promising step in the right direction. The fit is the best yet of any Inspire in my opinion. My foot is perfectly hugged and the toe box is a great width for me. I'd still like to see Mizuno make a more energetic / poppy underfoot experience, but this shoe will definitely work for slogging through the daily miles leading up to my next half marathon.
I have hobbit feet - wide across the ball & instep, & narrow at the heel. I pronation is pretty bad as well. I was wearing NB stability shoes & while the toe box of the NB is roomy, the instep can almost be painful & I get heel slip. I used to run in the Wave creation w/orthotics but they became supper narrow, so had to switch to the NB. Several years ago (3-4?) Mizuno offered wides in Wave inspire &.I've been running in the Wave Inspire since. Great support. When I put them on I felt like I finally came back home. The shoe hugs your foot, though still a little tight through the ball & instep of the foot (did I mention I have hobbit feet?). I still have problems with heel slip - so need to lace the shoes in "heel-lock/marathon" style to prevent heel slip. I still have problems with heel slip - so need to lace the shoes in "heel-lock/marathon" style to prevent heel slip. Even so, I tend to rub the inside portion of the heel of the shoe every 6mths - but that happens in all running shoes for me. I average about 300miles in that 6mth period btwn running, walking, and doing HIIT work.I've worn the Wave Inspire 16, 17, & 18.Giving this 4 stars b/c I would it if the toe box was a bit roomier given this is supposed to be a "Wide" shoe. I am considering giving the Wave Horizon 6 a spin since it supposedly has a wider toe box & a bit more cushion. I may use those for longer runs & the Wave Inspire as my speed work & HIIT training shoe. The only thing I'd like to see Mizuno do for this shoe is offer a wider toe box & more color choices. Black, grey, & blue as the only choices is kinda blah. every now and again I'd love to have a different color choice.
I purchased these from my local running shop about three weeks ago, and I had to return them. They're a comfortable, stable shoe for my mild pronation, and I like that the drop is only 4mm. After about 6 runs, the outsole started peeling apart from the midsole under 2x weekly use. This shoe is worth a try if it fits and feels good, but I recommend purchasing from a shop with a good product guarantee.
Perfect fit after chat with staff member. My wife was looking for Arch Support and these trainers recommended by staff fitted the bill. Wife is well chuffed Thank you
I have been buying the Wave Inspire for years, and they have always fit perfectly, however, I ordered these in my usual size and they are close to a cm longer than any other pair I’ve owned. They redesigned the sole at the heel as well, and I find it way too chunky and awkward. Really disappointed with the size and design of the 19s.
These used to be supportive solid shoes but now with the new sole design, they are terribly uncomfortable and they wear out within weeks. The entire sole of the shoe has worn off on all 3 pairs I purchased. Very disappointed!!!!!
