This is an excellent play house for the price, totally pleased with this purchase. I wanted something big enough for all three of my kids (8.5yo, 6yo, 1yo) to play in- my oldest has to duck through the doorway, but can stand up fully inside. The many windows provide good ventilation and all parts are well made. I also wanted something that looked nice in the yard, and I like the natural look of the cedar. Assembly with the help of my 8.5yo and juggling of my other kiddos took 4-5 hours, but was really straightforward if you follow the directions. I was missing one piece (the small roof piece over the door), but getting the replacement from KidKraft was easy (online form) and came quickly. I would absolutely make this purchase again.

This playhouse is super cute and very fun for kids to plan. The only downside is it takes several hours to put together. My husband and I put it together in it pretty much took half a days work. But once completed the kids, love it and still play in it to this day. We have had it for three years now and it has been outside without Protection that entire time. It has held up very well.

Cheap materials/Poor shipping practice

Bought this for my 4-year-old as a Christmas present. The package arrived open with much of the styrofoam protective layers busted. A few of the wood pieces were noticeably chipped. The plastic cover for the grill was busted apart. Worse than anything was the chemical odor that hovered in my basement for well over 24 hours which I assume has something to do with the paint on the playhouse. Overall, I would definitely say I will not be purchasing from KidKraft in the future as there were so many problems, one or two I could've accepted as slips through the cracks but there was at least a dozen.

Decent, Sturdy Playhouse for the Money

This is a decent and sturdy playhouse for the money. My daughter and her friends definitely are enjoying it. I will say the directions are also just 'decent', as there are a few moments where two of us weren't really positive on how they were saying to put something on. It took us several hours to complete. We'll see how it stands up to the Arizona weather.

Disappointed

I never write bad reviews but I am today. I bought this for my autistic son to have a quiet, fun place in his room to get away and potentially initiate pretend play. I’ve bought my kids KidKraft for years. We have the outdoor playground, kitchen set, table and chairs, grocery stand, toy boxes, wooden tent with a climbing wall, art easel, and many other things. I’ve always been pleased with my purchases because of their outstanding quality that has lasted through the years. This outdoor play house is completely falling apart on us. The screws are literally falling out every time I go into his room. The door has already broken. I am disappointed in the quality of this outdoor play house and will think twice about ordering from kidkraft again in the future if this is how their products are going to be - cheaply made and not made to withstand any normal wear or play.

Falling apart pretty quickly!

We purchased this in the late summer for our daughter, and while she loves it, the roof pieces are all coming apart, the wood on the grill has split and is breaking and the plastic windows are starting to buckle and break under the warping of the wood. The screws are not long enough to hold what they are sunk into and are starting to pop out in many places. I have had to add brackets on to just hold the roof together safely! It's great otherwise, but with very light use it is falling apart under limited activity.

Modifications needed

Very cute design. However, we had to cut down one whole side because it was over an inch off because the angles on the left didnt match the right side making the roof line uneven. It’s not painted. There’s a very very thin primer that even painters tape takes off. I only know because the other side of the house had one whole board that was split in half we had to glue back together. I would have rather paid a little more for better quality. Our grill over came in broken as well. After a few modifications, paint, and sealer it’s still a very cute clubhouse.

Not holding up

My husband and I bought this playhouse in January for our daughter. When trying to assemble this product, we realized we were missing several parts. I reached out to customer service and they immediately sent us the missing parts which was fantastic. We finally assembled the house and set it outside. Our daughter loves the house. However, it has been outside for about 2 months and we are noticing problems. The wood is warping on the roof, the door, and the side of the house. The roof nails are coming out and pulling away from the structure. Also the door no longer latches closed. We had high hopes that this playhouse would last for years but we will be surprised if it makes it through the summer.

Not thrilled

The house is super cute, however, half of the pieces in the box were smashed or staples holding the pieces together we bent and breaking the wood. Was extremely disappointed in how cheep the quality and care of this was for how much I spent. It was still 500 something after taxes. This is just a select few of the photos—the grill cover was completely cracked. The pieces that show chips are after I attempted to fix the pieces that were falling off of large boards they’d been glued and stapled too.

Save yourself the headache

There were several issues with this playhouse the first being that it was missing a part. I do see that you can order a piece but up to 90 days is too long.Other issues I encountered when putting together this playhouse:- part 43 was cut too tall which caused the roof of the house to not sit flush. I had to use a skill saw to cut off about 1/4 an inch in order for the roof to sit flush and be secured.-The visual on your instructions Step 13 are drawn incorrectly. It shows the hinge notch is facing posterior, but really it needs to be facing to the left as show in step 25. After installing everything like the diagram, I had to redo this part because the door wouldn’t close.-various pieces did not have predrilled holes as shown.I had to drill my own hole for ... MoreThere were several issues with this playhouse the first being that it was missing a part.
