I love these plain unlined large notebooks for writing and design sketch work. I just bought this one in store at Carlton and had a great chat with the lovely salesperson about how happy I was to have a pretty new colour to sit alongside but distinct from the many previous Moleskine notebooks I have already filled!The paper is good quality, thick enough to not damage the side behind it and lovely to write on.

This is a gorgeous notebook, if only I could bring myself to write in it. Because it's so pricey I wouldn't want to make a mistake. Love the pocket at the end. So handy to store clippings and notes in.

Love these notebooks. I use them for everything. An elastic band keeps your place in the notebook. You can purchase blank pages, grid pages, lined pages and all sorts of specialty notebooks. I keep a small one in my purse and use larger sizes for notes at work.
I love these notebooks, which are bigger than average, with a soft cover, and just perfect for note taking. They're not too heavy to carry, with a pocket in the back for loose pages, tickets, receipts. I find them so much more useful than the ordinary sized notebook, somehow they allow a lot more freedom to add notes and illustrations etc.
I have used notepads/books my entire professional life. The daily record of calls, to-do’s, etc has been the key to success at winning several complex issues. I became a convert to Moleskin products and have never switched. I prefer the soft-bound version for ease of carrying. But the hard-cover version is also very good. Absolutely nothing bad to say.
Just the right size and weight for meetings. The lined pages are dark enough for writing and light enough that they don't interfere with random rough sketching in meetings. The paper weight and quality is dark enough that there's little see through, and it has a fine tooth that takes nicely to pencils.
For this price, I would have expected a much better notebook. Don't buy this if you plan to write with a fountain pen. The ink bleeds through the pages and there is feathering.
The Moleskine notebook does not fit the category of fancy journal or diary for recording your most personal experiences, but rather it serves as an elegant, utility notebook ideal for work or daily notes/reminders to self. It is thinner than most in the "journal" category which makes including it in a briefcase or backpack more practical. The paper smoothly takes and hold ink very well. The notebook will open and lay flat on a desk or table making it suitable for use in a meeting. The plain, slightly textured surface looks professional and does not attempt to be stylish, trendy or make a statement. In that sense it is a timeless design which is appropriate in any setting and will not link its user with immature, unprofessional or teenage associations in the minds of ... The notebook is well made to withstand daily use. It has a marker ribbon and an elastic outer band attached to the back cover that runs lengthwise. This may be used to keep the notebook closed when not in use or as a second page marker. It really is a 5 star item but the elastic band on the one I got seemed to be a little weak, like an old rubber band that has lost some of its elasticity and doesn't snap back sharply. I would have preferred a band with a little more life and pop, but this could just be the one I got. I can't say this is a characteristic of them all.
I have been using this type of Notebook for quite some time, and the great quality of paper allows me to keep my writing lasting despite of how many years have passed. The quality of bounding also keeps the pages together and the notebook maintains itself in Great shape! I don't believe there are many good quality notebooks out there outside of the Moleskine brand. There is a large variety of Notebooks but out of all of them, Le Cahier and LeJournal are indeed my two favorite styles. I highly recommend them!
