These notebooks are a little on the expensive side but their color options and durability keep me coming back for new ones. The binding is tight and I’ve never had issues with any of the paper falling out. Some of them have a pocket where you can keep receipts or tickets or whatever else you may want to keep. This size is perfect for me, cost 24$, and is acid free.

Best Journals for Writers

I use Moleskine journals exclusively//daily and am so happy that Blick always has them in stock. The weight of the paper is perfect for writing, collaging, and doodling making these perfect for multimedia artists or just journaling. I wish Blick offered a wider selection of colors, but this is great!! #sweepstakes

Bujo? Boo, no.

I bought this to start out bullet journaling. Everything, except pencil, bleeds through. Staedtler fineliners, Paper Mate Flair felt tip pens, Tombow dual brush pens, Pilot Frixion pens of all sizes, Pilot Precise V5, Crayola markers, and (obviously) Sharpies bleed through. If you plan to use any of these in this notebook, you will be disappointed, unless you don't plan on using the backs of the pages. Such a waste of money. Don't do it. Just don't.

Classic Large Hard Cover Notebook Plain / Black

This is the best notebook I have ever had. It is probably the 7th or 8th one of mine. The off-white pages are of high quality with no lines. The binding is solid and durable while pleasant with rounded corners.

Great product I just wished they made 100% cotton versions

The price is average but the quality is great, it is nicely assembled and glued. The journals lasts for a long time. The paper for the sketchbook is smooth yet soft at the same time, which means that graphite really penetrates into the paper. Inks and fountain pens also work nice on the paper, the ink does not go through unless you add a lot with a brush(in that case buy the watercolor version). The tone is warm white, leaning towards a khaki color which means that if you take it outside it will not hurt or tire your eyes under direct sunlight. Conte and charcoal work really nice but add fixative unless you want your conte or charcoal drawings to smear. This ones are 25% cotton and the rest is wood pulp acid free paper, which means it will not yellow over time but cotton is better as it can last longer. Perhaps the cotton version would be called Art Journal.

Overpriced

I bought this journal to start bullet journalling this year, as it was the only option available in store at the time of purchase.Pages are very thin, think like slightly thicker bible paper. Everything will ghost or bleed, including normal weighted pencil. I seriously do not understand what this journal is for if even my rough sketches with an HB pencil showed through to the next page.The Modena option, which is the same (bar maybe a few less pages), is literally half the price of this thing. Do not bother wasting your money on the Moleskine brand name.I've attatched photos of my pen tests so you can see and judge for yourself the ghosting bleeding for your intended mediums 👍

Perfect for Journaling

I had researched the best notebooks to use for journaling and this was highly recommended. I use a fountain pen for my writing and most notebooks have a paper that the ink dries slowly, gets easily smudged, and even bleeds through. The Moleskin notebook has excellent paper that handles pencil, ballpoint ink, gel ink, and fountain pen ink exceptionally well. Well made and should last for a lifetime!

Pretty journal

I wanted a nice journal that I could enjoy for a long time. This journal is beautiful and functional. I love the color especially. I will say that the price is high considering that it’s just a journal, but I know the brand is reputable. I’m sure you could find similar for less money, but I’m happy with my purchase.

Quality has dropped again

I have been buying these planners for several years & the paper gets noticeably thinner each year. As I switched from 2023 to 2024, the difference was shocking! Unfortunately, this will be the last time I buy a Moleskine planner.

Stop looking, this is it. Buy it.

Buy buy buy this notebook! It’s perfect. Ink does not bleed through (I used gel pens). There is a little bit of ghosting , but nothing too terrible. I love using this every single day. It lays flat which makes for better writing. I add cardstock, washi tape, stickers, etc to my pages and it holds up beautifully. Seriously, this is the best.
