Like @DaddyDiBs mentioned below, not great for fountain pens - I tend to not write on the backside of many pages as it can be hard to read because of the bleed through. That being said, I love the size of the Moleskine large notebooks and the soft cover books feel fantastic. I will always buy these

This is a very high quality and durable notebook. I cringed at the price tag, BUT it is an amazing notebook. Many other notebooks imitate moleskine's distinct features and yes, are more cost effective. But this notebook has held up much longer than others for me. I am a notorious notebook killer and loser. This notebook is great for using as a planner or whatever you like it's extremely versatile. If you are a student like me the best way to get one is find a coupon at a bookstore like Barnes and Noble or get it from Amazon.

The weight of the paper is perfect for writing, collaging, and doodling making these perfect for multimedia artists or just journaling. Blown Away

I work primarily in wet media, and most sketchbooks I've had in the past feather out, tear, show through pages, and just generally don't hold up well. I finally figured it was time to treat myself, and I'm so glad I did. Not only are the ink, acrylics, and markers I'm so fond of an absolute joy to use in this - it's exactly what I've needed to take the jump into watercolors. Do yourself a favor. Get this sketchbook.

Consistent excellence, using for over 10 years.

I've been using the Moleskine as my go to sketchbook and journal for over 10 years now and continue to be pleased with the consistent quality of this product. My favorite is the Sketchbook style due to the thicker stock paper that proves more durable for using inks, markers or other water based mediums.

Little moleskin fold out books are WONDERFUL!

I've been keeping this little accordion fold out sketchbook my purse for years. I have a number of them. You always have a way to record things right at hand!!! Beautiful paper and amazing amount of space for such a tiny sketchbook!!!

Moleskine quality matches the importance of your thoughts,words and doodles

I purchased this item to organise my Zentangles and tangles. Moleskine is the bench mark for notebooks, journals etc. They are a high quality product which uses only the best materials. The paper is gorgeous to work on no matter what you may be doing. It's perfect for journaling, doodling, writing, infact anything. The fact that the pages are sewn and not glued allow the book to sit flat when using it. I would not go back to using any other brand of notebook now.

Not very good as compared to Rhodia or Clairefontaine

I used the product with pens that have gel ink or liquid ink. The ink blots and spreads irrespective of the nib size. There seems to be a severe lack of "quality control" in moleskine notebooks. I don't think Rhodia or Clairefontaine can be considered rivals to Moleskine, the former two are several strata better for a better price. Avoid at all cost unless you like the look and feel of the hardbound cover.

Overpriced and worth it!

I love a new Moleskine and every single time I try to go for the cheaper knock offs I regret it. I have to make my way through the whole journal before going back to the Moleskine - which is my punishment for not going for the Original in the first place just to save a couple of bucks! The paper is smooth and often holds up to layers of pen before bleeding through. If you try to erase too much the color of the paper sometimes fades where you erased, so watch that, and over time the elastic band stretches to the point of no return... otherwise, they are just so nice to work in. The best price I have found continues to be BLICK.

This product is pretty good and I plan to buy more!

I use this notebook for sketching and drawing, and so far it's been workin' pretty well! The notebook as a whole is super snazzy and looks really nice, and the quality of the notebook is top notch👌🏻! Even if I use sharpies and alcohol based markers it doesn't bleed through onto the next page. The only downside I've noticed so far is how markers sometimes react to the paper. When using too much ink of a mid toned marker, the ink starts to make a dotted pattern, and I can't figure out why. It's not that huge of a problem though, since it's not all that noticeable unless you really focus on the dots.
