I have renovated 6 bathroom/toilets so far. In my current renovation, the original toilet never became blocked before I installed this toilet. As soon as it was installed, we would get a blockage 3-4 times per week. The opening at bottom of the S bend is too narrow so large wads of toilet paper or large poos would become stuck. After 3 months I removed this toilet and installed another model. It has now been 9 weeks since the new toilet has been installed and not one blockage in this time

I nearly didn't buy this after reading some of the 1-star review comments: "doesn't flush", "noisy", "can't adjust seat". I had this toilet professionally installed by a licensed plumber a few days ago and it works perfectly. It flushes well (doesn't need multiple flushes) and you most definitely do NOT need to remove the entire toilet to adjust the seat. I did find it a little louder than my previous toilet but that's not an issue for me. I wouldn't have even known to compare the noise if I hadn't read the review comments. Some tips for new players:1. Know your piping: S bend into the floor, or P type into the wall?2. What's your setback measurement (from the wall). This Mondella Concerto has a variable S setback from 90-180mm but apparently a fixed P setback ... MoreI nearly didn't buy this after reading some of the 1-star review comments: "doesn't flush", "noisy", "can't adjust seat". Check your measurements, eg: I found the seat height was higher than my previous dunny. Will any pre existing holes be exposed, any new tiling/painting be required, etc.

I bought the toilet 1 month ago after reading the reviews on this thread.Pros.Best looking toilet I have seenEasy to CleanEasy to installUses less water, even the rare 2nd flush uses less than 1 flush on the old one.Refilling of tank is quietConsThe flush has a huck sound when buttons pressed, If noise is an issue, ie. If the toilet was next to a babies room, I would not recommend. There are quieter toilets on the market. It hasn’t worried anyone in our place. The water level is low in bowl, yet position is better, compared to last toilet I had to occasionally get brush out to clean back of toilet, where now the marks are sometimes at the water level. Otherwise depending on toilet you may have 2 bolt marks showing. So I would definitely recommend unless noise is a issue. Some toilets are noisier than others, never even realized & probably never would of unless I read this thread

Great toilet.Floor fixing kit instructions doesn't specify how far from outline of toilet one should drill the hole in the floor and this was a bit difficult to measure, test and get right, but most of the other instructions were clear.Noise doesn't bother me, but I did test it and concur that flushing is slightly louder than some other toilets. I suspect most water saving toilets will be louder due to water being forced through smaller openings.Otherwise, good toilet.
Great toilet, was recommended by our plumber as one of the better toilets for the price. Very good size for our small toilet space, with our previous toilet you couldn't close the door without wedging yourself between the wall and toilet. Now the door closes without us having to move at all. It's a nice height, the flush is good, and it's so good not having to clean under and around the back of the toilet. Honestly can't fault this toilet it's great value for the price.
I am renting a property which has this toilet. The owners supplied me with no instructions on how to tighten the seat. Now the seat & lid have totally come off. Can anyone explain to me how to reattach the seat and tighten it? Not very well designed in that respect. Also there is no way of attaching a Bref or Harpic deodoriser to the base. Apart from these issues, I am quite happy with it.
We had our toilet installed yesterday by a plumber. It took him 2 hrs to install it as the bolts that connect the toilet to the cistern were too short. He also had a tough time with the seal between the above as it didn’t seat in like other toilets he has installed.Worst of all is it’s sold as a back to wall, however the top of the cistern is angled away from the base of the toilet. Our tiler had cut the back wall skirting tiles to the width of the toilet, but didn’t need to as the tiles would’ve fitted in behind it.Now it’s in use, looks great, comfortable to sit on, but the flush noise is much louder than the old toilet.
Seat broke in first month. The internal seat mount broke within 5 months.I weigh 75kg and am the only one who uses it.If waist gets into sealed area of porcelain part of bowl, it's impossible to clean!Half flush doesn't work for no2s even!If plumber doesn't seal to drain properly, smell emits from the sides and can't be fixed without removing toilet.
Worst toilet ever - flush is loud but weak and gopeless. But worse than that, the vitreous china is such low quality that the surface stains after each use - it's embarrassing when i. Bunnings entirely useless when I rang them about the issue. Mondella is a cheap Chinese product marketed solely by Bunnings. Just don't buy it, you'll be spending your life cleaning it.
Fitted over the weekend and not a bad unit .Seat height is good , general quality of the suite was quite good , supplied toilet seat is good and comfortable , no idea about people saying its noisy to fill , this was quiet normal noise wise .The only negative was the fixing to the floor brackets that are nylon angle brackets , was a little flimsy to me .In general quite happy with it , good quality , people need to remember its a $280 toilet suite , not a $6-800 suite , i would buy another one .
