Monin Caramel Syrup As a young man (only 19), George Monin started selling branded wines and spirits in 1912. He chose the slogan "Passion for quality" and this is the ethos behind the company to this day. A french company, it is still family owned, and it's now the third generation leading the business. Created by melting sugar in water until it caramelises, Caramel is a rich, sweet dark brown colour. It's enjoyed the world over in various ways, in puddings, sweets, cakes and biscuits to name some of them. With their dark amber syrup, Monin takes away all the work. It has an enticingly strong and deep aroma and the very specific burnt caramel flavour which is loved all over the world. More from Monin Perfect Serve Perhaps the most popular and versatile of Monin's syrups, this can be used to sweeten teas, chocolate drinks and coffees. It can be added to a shot of vodka, used in cocktails, or drizzled over ice cream. However you use it, this is sure to become a favourite.

Ive been using monin caramel syrup for years but two recent orders had a bad aroma and a bitter taste. Amazon refunded the first and I sent a complaint to Monin who tell me they have changed the recipe. They also said theyve tested it with a a panel but they need to test with regular coffee drinkers as this is now undrinkable for me YMMV.

Being in quarantine has really made me want to make all the things that I have when Im out, so I decided to buy this so I can try out the caramel latte I normally get at Starbucks, at homeA great tasting syrup to give your morning coffee a nice kick, it is a bit on the expensive side, close to a tenner but definitely a great buy. Next on my list is to buy the pump for the bottle

Oh how I miss costa. I mean, Im having withdrawal symptoms. So I ordered this in the hope I can recreate my iced caramel lattes.Im so happy to say I have One pump 10ml is the perfect amount its exactly the same as the one they use in Costa and tastes the sameIts literally brightened up my days of self isolation.I understand what some customers say about the sticker coming off the bottle and looking shoddy I dont really know why and was a bit concerned whether it was real when I got it out the box but it certainly tastes legit and I suppose thats all the mattersI brought a pump on amazon too for about 6 and Im so glad as its measured and easy and not messy

Use it in my morning coffee as an alternative to sugar. It's sweet, rich and very tasty. Definitely purchasing more.
Absolutely beautiful caramel sauce for coffeePackaged well. Arrived in perfect condition. There is 1 litre of caramel sauce, in this nicely designed, thick plastic bottle. That is pretty good for the price. I previously spent over this price, on a bottle half the size. That one, even though it was a well known brand, didnt taste as good as this one I dont personally think. This caramel sauce tastes beautiful, especially in a coffee, which gives you a lovely sweetness with an amazing hint of caramel. You can use this in hot chocolates to jazz them up, this tastes beautiful also, perfect for a night time treatYou can use for cakes and other baking treats. This works fantastic in pre made cake mixes also.Just a tea spoon full of sauce, will do for any method. This bottle ... MoreAbsolutely beautiful caramel sauce for coffeePackaged well. Good alternative to Starbucks' caramel syrup. Starbucks used to sell its syrup, but has stopped. So was happy. NTUC carried this option. Strong scent, although would have liked stronger caramel notes when mixed into the coffee. A little pricey for a 700ml, considering other alternatives out there. But for the convenience, am overall pleased with purchase.
I use Monin from Sainsburys in my cappuccino all the time I love it So I thought Id buy this stuff to save a few pence. Let me start by saying it tastes okay, but not exactly like the stuff I buy from Sainsburys. It seems more runny, like its been watered down and theres definitely a saccharin aftertaste. I got my other half to make two coffees and put Sainsburys Monin in one and Amazons Monin in the other and I could tell which was which Ive gone back to using Sainsburys Monin. Saying that though, if youre not used to Sainsburys Monin, Im not sure youd know the difference
Perfect. Tried with coffee and an espresso martini Absolute game changer. Couldn't taste more authentic. Espresso martini hot tip; 45ml vod, 45ml kahlua, 45ml espresso coffee, 15ml caramel syrup, pinch of salt, 1/2 tsp vanilla bean paste. Thank me later.
Bought a bottle pump. It pumps out 10ml liquid. Seems sturdy. Does what it says.
