I purchased a set of these monitors hoping to have a compact, lightweight kit to display my laptop out to multiple monitors. Unfortunately I cannot find a USC-C hub that supports video and power. That's besides the point. I now use these as secondary monitors. However, one design flaw I seem to be concerned with is that the monitor discharges (uses) more energy that it can be charged, meaning it eventually runs out of power. Resolution is great, colors are great and the cover is just like Apple's Magic cover.

I bought this monitor for working at home with my MacBook Pro. On the plus side, it’s a convenient device that sits well next to a laptop and has the option to run on battery. On the downside, The image quality is not great but is sufficient - sitting next to a 4 year old Mac screen ASUS should be a little embarrassed that the Mac looks way better. Well, now after 2 months, the screen will no longer come on. It’s getting power since the power light is on, but no image, no on screen menus, nothing.

Purchased monitor at the start of COVID-19 pandemic to be prepped for first-responder support, where I may have to travel to different locations. After 2 months of use, the monitor just froze and would not turn off. Had to let the built-in battery to drain to power off, and then charge it to get control back of the power on/off switch.Filed RMA with Asus Support since it was beyond the return time period with BH Video. After about 5 tries, I finally obtained the RMA, and I mailed the malfunctioning monitor to Asus. I double-packed the unit (box in a box) with packing material. About a month+ later, I received the replacement/repaired unit in its own box, with no outer box for shipping protection. The box was also extremely dirty, where I ended up having to trash ... MorePurchased monitor at the start of COVID-19 pandemic to be prepped for first-responder support, where I may have to travel to different locations. I was so excited to find this product to use with my Apple phone. It was like Christmas when it arrived! I took it out of all three boxes, assembled it (put the case on it) and charged it. I got ready to use it to find that neither of the cables included would allow me to hook it up to my phone. I called customer service who had me spell my first name three times and my last name three times. Then after a 15 minute conversation, part of that being me on hold and part of it just dead air on my phone she tells me she cant help me. while she was busy not helping me I was on the Apple store app searching for adapters, which I found. I went in to a store to ensure I got what I needed. They said I could try it out before I left to ensure it worked, everything plugged in ... MoreI was so excited to find this product to use with my Apple phone. It was like Christmas when it arrived! Sadly, all I could get the screen to do was show me that it was charged to 100%. I couldnt get it to turn on or anything else. I took it back to Walmart and even the customer service person couldnt get it to power on. My money has been refunded and I will be going to the Apple store to get an iPad for the same price as this screen and the adapter I purchased.
I love this second screen. This makes my office even more portable. When everyone is getting used to two screens this is plug and play. Just wrap it up in the included case and off you go.
I really like this monitor. I have an Asus Zenbook Flip with a 13.3" screen and sometimes, it's just not big enough. So I bought this to have as an external monitor. It's thin, lightweight and has a good picture. Plus, it's relatively inexpensive. I also liked that the video and power both went through a USB-C cable, since the Flip only has 2 USB-C ports for output. It's just 'plug and play'. But that's where things kind of fell apart. The first time I plugged it in and used it, everything went great. But, since then, I get a error that the external device may demand more power than my laptop can handle and I should consider plugging it into an external power source. Problem is, you can't do that. That USB-C is the only input on the monitor. So far, I've been ... MoreI really like this monitor. I have an Asus Zenbook Flip with a 13.3" screen and sometimes, it's just not big enough. That USB-C is the only input on the monitor. So far, I've been getting away with it. But the fan on my Flip goes into overdrive and it gets a pretty hot. So I can tell the monitor is putting a strain on the Flip. It gets hot anyway, so I've been a bit concerned. So be advised. If you have a full-size laptop, it might be fine. I haven't tried it on another device.
This is th 2nd Asus Zen that I have owned, the first was the touch screen model. This one is simliar but no touch screen. The first stop functioning about 2 years after use. This one is non functional out of the box. Asus has a history of issues with these monitors. Find somthing else if you need a portable monitor. Returned item to NFM.
Not many of these types of monitors on the market. Used this for the first time a couple of days ago - so glad I purchased. I was able to hook this up easily to my MacMini. This monitor is sleek and slim, easy to transport, good quality image on screen. I was not sure if this monitor was compatible with my MacMini and had to contact support. Support was wonderful, always good. Highly recommend.
This is an absolutely fantastic, slim, portable display. I'm an app developer and it slips in my bag with ease. Before I plugged it into my MacBook, I downloaded and installed the driver from the Asus website. However, the screen was extremely laggy. Just moving the mouse around the screen was a glitchy nightmare. I read all of the reviews and couldn't find anyone experiencing the same thing. I began to think it was my computer, but everything was up-to-spec. After about an hour of Googling, I came across the DisplayLink driver page. Just so everyone is clear, Asus makes the hardware, but it's using DisplayLink as a driver. The one on the Asus site is either outdated or incomplete. Home Essentials Direct won't let me post the link, but just do a quick google search for DisplayLink Mac driver and you'll be all set! All of the lag is gone! The display runs perfectly. I love this thing. I'm probably going to get another soon. Very glad I found this. I hope the driver tip helps someone else!
Worked great for about 2 months then started having issues turning on. At first, letting the battery fully die then recharging would "fix" this issue, then after about another month, it has fully stopped connecting to anything and just flashes the logo when you turn it on. It won't even stay on long enough to get to the setting. BTW the warranty process is a joke. They don't replace the product, you must ship it to them for repair. After hours on the phone, they make you go through a 10 step process to apply for an RMA then get another email to then submit into another system to apply for a shipping label(that didn't work). After another hour on the phone, they sent me a return shipping label to then let me know I'm responsible for supplying a box to send it back ... MoreWorked great for about 2 months then started having issues turning on. It's been about 3 months now that I haven't been able to use it.
