I needed a longer cable to connect to an overhead projector, and because they would partially be installed inside of the wall I wanted a high quality cable that I wouldn't need to worry about replacing in a few years. However because the ends of the cable would be visible I also wanted something that was attractive yet flexible enough for my needs. These LUXE series cables met all of my demands. The woven jacket is attractive, the connections are gold plated, and the ends are a polished gray finish that looks great. Monoprice calls these "zinc alloy connectors" but all I know is they aren't the cheap plastic connectors all too common on lower end cables. I haven't had any issues even know I'm using the 35' version. No signal degradation or pixelation of any kind. I realize a digital signal is a digital signal but the bottom line is these work great and look great while doing it. There is no reason to spend 10 times as much for a "luxury" brand cable that won't look or perform any better than these do.PROS: Very attractive woven jacket looks great and adds protection to the cable.Connectors are gold plated and have indicators for "TV" and "Source"Rated for in-wall install installations.Connectors come protected by two piece plastic shields to prevent damage.CONS: They don't offer these same style of cable in shorter lengths! I wish they were offered in your common sizes of 6 and 10 foot. The cables come packaged with some velcro straps, however the velcro can actually stick to the fabric jacket and potentially damage it when removed so you need to be careful. I like the velcro idea, but for a fabric cable they should have protected it with something prior to installing the velcro straps.

I've got about a 100 foot run from my A/V closet to one of my TV's. My A/V closet includes an 8x8 HDMI Matrix switch which obviously allows me to route 8 inputs to 8 outputs. I've had mixed luck with various cables. For the past 6 months I've been living with the only cable that would partially work. When I say partially work I mean sometimes when I turn the TV on the TV would report No Signal. There was some EDID handshake issue and I would be forced to turn the TV off and wait a few seconds and then turn it on again. Sometimes I had to turn it on with a different video source.HOWEVER - with this new cable I haven't had a single problem. It works perfectly and couldn't be happier. The LUXE cable came with heavy duty plastic protectors on both ends, which I secured with electrical tape prior to installation. The braided jacket offers a layer of protection ideal for feeding the cable though the holes in joists and behind walls. In the end, this cable is perfect for in wall installation. I would not hesitate to buy more LUXE HDMI cables.PROS: Quality materialsSolid plugs on both endsBraided jacket for extra protectionReasonably thing for a long cableCONS: None

I purchased the 35-foot version to replace an HDMI cable that I'd used for 10 years. Today, my video source is a Yamaha RX-A2060 AV Receiver for the following inputs: Dish Hopper 3 Receiver, Samsung UHD/HDR Smart Blu-Ray Player, and an Apple TV 4K set top player. The "Display" end of the cable is connected to a 65-inch Samsung Curve SUHD HDR-ready television. I noticed an improvement in picture quality right away, especially for Dish Network 1080i content that is upscaled to 2160p and produces brighter and more vivid colors with sharp and focused resolution. I have also found that native UHD content (2160p) is more responsive since conversion to the "high-speed" HDMI. UHD and HDR is rendered almost immediately by the Samsung TV display as compared to delays experienced with the older cable. I can also route 5.1 audio from the television to my AV receiver via audio return channel (ARC) when using over-the-air (OTA) content or TV smart apps such as Netflix or Home Essentials Direct Video.
I purchased this 50 ft active cable to replace my 50 ft passive cable for a projector mounted on the ceiling. The passive cable was giving me a video and audio dropouts regardless of the resolution I decided to throw at it. With the active cable in place I was able to bump up all of my devices back to full 1080p HD and so far I've had zero visual or audio blackouts. This cable is exactly what I needed to solve this issue. I couldn't believe how excited I was to have something finally work as it was intended. Update: It's been a couple of months at least now and still no audio or video blackouts whatsoever!
Did you know there are problems with HDMI cable runs greater than 15 feet? I did not, but I later learned after a failed purchase that Monoprice knew and offers a solution that I purchased. I cannot be certain the cable I shipped was defective because its 35 foot length would not pass signal. I nephew took it home with him and tried several configurations and it would not pass signal for him either. The fit and finish of the cable appeared excellent. Sadly, this technical issue, a warning or alert regarding same, and a link to the proper product solution was not provided by Monoprice. I hope they correct this.
Looks shouldn't matter. After all, it's a CL2 cable for use behind walls. But it sure looks good. The connectors have a great silver complexion and the braid on the wire is a fine tweed look. I plugged it into my latest gen Apple TV and immediately got questions about HDR (a sign it's working) and notification that it the signal was 4K at 60hz. The 28awg wire is slightly more flexible than the 3 year old Monoprice cables it replaces. The length is 20 feet. I thought it would be 7' too long, but after weaving through the wall and media cabinet, it's perfect. It cares what end it in the TV and which is in the source, but it's well marked. I will buy 3 more.
I found this site per my sibling's recommendation, and am definitely pleased with the outcome. The product "Cable" I bought and am using was everything it advertised, and have not had any issues with the cable yet."A little back story on the reasoning in getting the cable" The HDMI cables we had, were causing our TV to lose it's picture, not the sound. We determined it wasn't the TV or the Cable provider, and bought a new TV while using the older HDMI cables. This problem still persisted with the new TV.So I went to Monoprice.com and looked at the cables offered, and thought this would be the best cable needed for our system. And of course it is! Not only did the original problem go away, the picture and signal to the TV have been clearer and crisper too.PROS: ... I have purchased a number of monoprice HDMI cables before- several lengths longer than 25'. In the past I relied on the traditional thicker HDMI cables- no issues. I have also tried a few of the monoprice thinner "active chip" cables (6-10')- no problems. However, with this 25' Luxe Series cable I was not able to sync between my new projector and my AV Receiver or Blu-Ray player. However, I was able to sync between a projector and a new version Apple TV. I checked cable direction (of course, the Apple TV worked, so orientation was correct.) I tried two different AVR including a brand new Yamaha receiver. No HDMI sync/signal. I purchased a "basic" thicker HDMI 25 cable and it worked perfectly with all of the equipment. I was a big fan and a long time customer and I am disappointed.PROS: Thin cable, cheap price.CONS: This cable did not sync with most of my (newer) equipment (only Apple TV and projector).. A different cable (also 25') worked fine with all the equipment so seems to be the cable..
Very happy with this 35ft cable! First off, it has to be noted that the Monoprice "Luxe" line has changed over the years, and reviews from years ago don't necessarily reflect the current product, despite the information in the Home Essentials Direct product listing. Most notably, the 'active' chipset changed in late-2017/early-2018 from an antiquated RedMere chipset to the newer Spectra7 HT8181. This brings HDCP 2.2 compliance and it also improves the signal. The cable I got had a 2018 manufacture date and touted 4K @ 60hz and YUV 4:4:4 (compared to this listing's YUV 4:2:0). At the same time, I also got a 30ft Monoprice Cabernet cable (with the older chipset), and despite being 5ft shorter, it performed worse. As the Cabernet and Luxe lines used to share a chipset, ... As the Cabernet and Luxe lines used to share a chipset, I can see the older reviews' disappointment. So with that out of the way, how does the cable perform? Excellently, by my tests. I've used it to pass a 4k@60 HDR YUV 4:2:2 signal with Dolby Digital audio, and it does so without a hiccup. It's also super responsive, and my TV acquires a signal quickly without the handshake struggle you sometimes get. As a note, my use case is a PC with an nVidia GTX 970 connected directly to a Samsung KS8000. It's also a very sturdy cable and feels very rugged. Material quality seems very high -- all-in-all, a premium cable feel (which it should have for the price!).
