I was (and still am) a bit of a skeptic around the improved performance of newer high speed cable. I've been told for years that "any HDMI cable is just an HDMI cable and any fancy branding is just there for marketing".That all seemed true up until my Apple TV 4K 2nd gen started cycling through display modes while connected through my receiver to my TV. I was puzzled by this problem and searched the internet. Their suggestion? Try replacing the HDMI cable with a better one.So I took their advice and bought this and some other 8K cables. As good as any.

I think the majority of my audio visual cables have come from monoprice. The quality always seems good and the prices are at least is good if not better than everywhere else.It's hard to review a cable. In my experience they either work well or they don't. This one works well.I use this inside of a custom cabinet build where I ran all of the cables inside the back of the cabinets to hide them.

Finally, a cable that works!

I went through 3 cables before landing on this one that actually functions for the configuration I want. I have an RTX4070 that I want to use to drive a TV from across the room, and it's about a 30ft cable run.Initially, I had gotten a 35' HDMI 2.1 cable (regular copper), it would intermittently get 4k120, but would drop the signal every so often while gaming (90-120 seconds and black out for half a second or longer). Getting the GPU to negotiate the 120Hz signal was also inconsistent.Fine, got rid of that cable, and tried an active, optical, 50' (shortest length available) HDMI 2.1 cable from Unitek. It would negotiate 4k120, but my TV would not render a signal when requesting 4k120, only backing down to 4k60 would give me a picture on the screen. It works!If you want to be sure to get the 8k60 or 4k120 signal, get this cable! Anything else and it might or might not work for you.

Great video and audio quality

I purchased these 8K certified ultra high speed HDMI cables as my 4 year old "8K cables" from a different manufacturer were getting sporadic malfunctions. On replacement with the Monoprice cables we noticed much brighter and cleaner video signal. Audio was also great. No malfunctions. Very happy with the price and performance.

I bought three of these AOCs (two 15m and one 20m) to send 4K signals to my home theater and to my family room from my AV equipment closet. I haven't started the construction yet, so I haven't installed the cables yet. However, upon receiving them I immediately tested them with the cable test function in my Denon AVR. They all passed the tests with no problem, but the Denon's HDMI cable test function has a top speed of 40gbps, so I can't claim that the cables test good to 48gbps. That's what the certification is for. There's nothing on the 8K horizon that uses more than 40gbps anyway. They just built some fat into the 8K standard when they wrote it.The cables are fairly thin and flexible, and they give the impression that they're well made. Perfect performance, flexible cable.

In my home theater setup, I've equipped all my devices with 8K HDMI cables connected to my HT Processor (Trinnov). While the system currently requires only 4K, I opted for these cables to future-proof my setup. Additionally, the higher bit rates these cables support help to prevent data interference or packet loss at 4K transmission levels. I highly recommend investing in these quality cables for your own setup.

Haven?t had any device capable of fully utilizing the full power of these cables but am sure they can pull it off. I purchased these as I recently wall mounted my tv and wanted to run the cables in the wall for a very clean look. Also figured if I was running cables inside a wall I may as well ?future proof? myself for at least my next tv and buy hdmi 2.1 cables. The cables are pretty nice from what I can tell, one point to make is they are VERY stiff which made running them around my entertainment center a little challenging, so for that I deducted a bit from their score, honestly it?s closer to a 4.5 than a four but it was enough to make them slightly annoying to position. Stable at 4k / 60 / 4:2:2 / 50ft

Purchased the 50ft version to connect an Epson 4k LS12000 projector to a Denon receiver/Apple TV combo. Other similarly priced active optical cables have had HDMI dropouts with this setup. This cable has been totally clean in this regard and handles 4k 60fps with 4:2:2 chroma without issue. The build quality is good and was able to be pulled through 40 feet of conduit without being damaged thanks to the small head assembly and strain relief.

Worked great with 4K source

Used 15-ft cable to connect a PS5 through a wall directly to a 4K TV. Cable successfully transmitted 4k signal at 120HZ. Tried using the 10-ft version earlier, connected at both ends to HDMI keystones, and it would not transmit 4K signal, but WOULD transmit 1080p. So bottom line, recommend not using HDMI keystones with these cables for 4K transmission as too many connections degrade the signal.

Worth the money

I was having issues with my new Yamaha A8 Receiver and when I called their support, they told me it was the cables. Apparently that receiver only supports the new 2.1 not the 2.0. I bought these cables and it worked. I can now stream with sound. I looked for some cables and these for the money do the work well. I have purchase high end cables before, and honestly these rate just as good.
