I was (and still am) a bit of a skeptic around the improved performance of newer high speed cable. I've been told for years that "any HDMI cable is just an HDMI cable and any fancy branding is just there for marketing".That all seemed true up until my Apple TV 4K 2nd gen started cycling through display modes while connected through my receiver to my TV. I was puzzled by this problem and searched the internet. Their suggestion? Try replacing the HDMI cable with a better one.So I took their advice and bought this and some other 8K cables. Used this to replace receiver to TV (the most vital connection) and another 8K cable from receiver to ATV. Issue solved! I can now say that this was 100% worth the purchase. I think the majority of my audio visual cables have come from monoprice. The quality always seems good and the prices are at least is good if not better than everywhere else. It's hard to review a cable. In my experience they either work well or they don't. This one works well.I use this inside of a custom cabinet build where I ran all of the cables inside the back of the cabinets to hide them.

After having so many communication issues between my tv and my receiver a friend recommended getting an active hdmi cable through monoprice.com.I was skeptical that it would work but it did and it's awesome! It's a 50 foot cable that runs through the attic and into the walls to the tv and my audio rack in another room. If you're having volume, picture, screen going blank issues I highly recommend the active hdmi cable from monoprice.com!

Normally I wouldn't buy cheaper HDMI cables. The only reason I tried these cables, was due to the certification. A lot of people make the mistake of not upgrading cables when getting a new TV / Components or they buy extremely expensive cables, that won't make any noticeable difference in your picture. Don't waste your money on overprice cords. These HDMI cords have everything that is required from a 2.1 ver. of an HDMI cable. I actually noticed a big difference in picture quality too, which is usually uncommon, in my experience, usually the difference is slight. So save yourself some money and try these HDMI cables. Nowadays, with prices going far beyond profitable, to straight up greedy, it's nice to be able to buy something that does what it's supposed to, ... MoreNormally I wouldn't buy cheaper HDMI cables. I purchased these 8K certified ultra high speed HDMI cables as my 4 year old "8K cables" from a different manufacturer were getting sporadic malfunctions. On replacement with the Monoprice cables we noticed much brighter and cleaner video signal. Audio was also great. No malfunctions. Very happy with the price and performance.
In my home theater setup, I've equipped all my devices with 8K HDMI cables connected to my HT Processor (Trinnov). While the system currently requires only 4K, I opted for these cables to future-proof my setup. Additionally, the higher bit rates these cables support help to prevent data interference or packet loss at 4K transmission levels. I highly recommend investing in these quality cables for your own setup.
My computer is on the other side of a large room from my AV setup. Occasionally, I like to sit on my couch and play certain computer games using my big 4K 120 Hz TV and my Atmos Surround System. I tried a couple different (cheaper) cables of this length and they were garbage. Either no signal at all being received, or it would cut out every few seconds. This was my last try, and it has worked flawlessly for weeks now. Pricey, but apparently at these lengths you have to pay $$ for the thing to actually work.
Used 15-ft cable to connect a PS5 through a wall directly to a 4K TV. Cable successfully transmitted 4k signal at 120HZ. Tried using the 10-ft version earlier, connected at both ends to HDMI keystones, and it would not transmit 4K signal, but WOULD transmit 1080p. So bottom line, recommend not using HDMI keystones with these cables for 4K transmission as too many connections degrade the signal.
This cable works well for a long run between Sony Projector (VPL-VW665ES) and Onkyo ReceiverBefore I used a HDMI Extender (Altona) and recently it started having sync issues. I have NVIDIA Shield hooked to the Onkyo and most probably recent updates to Shield caused the problems. I had to switch inputs or switch between different formats to try get the picture to show up every time after power on.This cable solved all those problems.I tried 4K@60Hz and 4k HDR@25Hz (max for the projector) and no issues. No problems with overlay menus or various content. This cable works.
I was having issues with my new Yamaha A8 Receiver and when I called their support, they told me it was the cables. Apparently that receiver only supports the new 2.1 not the 2.0. I bought these cables and it worked. I can now stream with sound. I looked for some cables and these for the money do the work well. I have purchase high end cables before, and honestly these rate just as good.
