This was a huge hit for my 10 year old he could steadily operate it and YES, it worked great on water. We drove it right into the pool and had a blast driving it on the water.The truck charges via USB and held a charge for around an hours use. Easy and convenient to charge.We took action videos and were amazed at all this little machine could.Most amazing of all was that the kids recognized this ‘Megledon’ toy as an actual monster truck. I had no idea.It was so much fun that I almost couldn’t stop playing with it long enough to give it to the kid.

Purchased this monster jam Megalodon monster truck RC from spin master purchased in store at Walmart for my daughter. it's very fun, exciting like the real monster trucks. It has enough power to rip through grass,dirt,loose gravel, uphill. Controls are very responsive snappy. It's what you would expect from a monster jam monster truck. lightweight, it's really cool you can go on top of water with the foam tires with the paddle type tire tread. runtime is okay about 20 minutes not hammering on it. about an hour to charge depending on your USBA charger I've heard complaints it breaks too easy. That's to be expected if it's crashed too much. Ordered the grave digger model for my son also. Great RC for 6

I bought this product on June 11, my son opened it on his birthday the next day. Since then he has played with the Megalodon RC truck a handful of times.The last time he played with it, the battery died.. Now the battery will not charge. The light blinks, indicating that the battery is charging, but the battery is not holding the charge. I unplug it, and the battery is dead within 2-3 minutes.Since researching this, I keep seeing this same issue.I would not recommend buying unless you enjoy wasting your hard-earned money %26 you want your little one to be extremely disappointed.

While it hasn’t arrived yet, this will be the second time purchasing the Meg. I bought the first one for my G-kiddos 3-4 years ago for my then 2 year old G-kid while his 4 year old brother continually fights to use it. It doesn’t matter the time of year, the Meg goes in the mud, snow, ice %26 water(our 10’x20’ pond) with ease. Out of any %26 all the 20 plus RC vehicles I’ve had over the past 5 decades, the Meg is by far the Best RC ever. It’s virtually indestructible, hence buying another for the other G-kid to stop the bickering and can now play together!
Bought this for my 3.5 year old even though it’s probably better for a 5-8 year old. The controller is not hard to use at all though - My son is able to use it without any help! This thing pops wheelies, goes through mud puddles, does 360s, and much more!!!! I swear it’s indestructible! It also goes super fast! Definitely the best toy we have! If you have a kid who loves monster trucks, BUY THIS! You won’t regret it!
At first, this toy looked great. The first one lasted a few times being played with. Then one side packed up so had to return for a replacement, second used for a while, then winter came, used a couple of times this year and it's gone again. Motors just start and turn straight off again. This wasn't a cheap toy at the time, for the money you'd expect this to last. That's what they are advertised to do. Very disappointing, back to the shop for a voucher to use on something else. Real Shane ascmy Grandson really likes monster trucks and he's very upset about it breaking again.Extremely poor on the manufacturers behalf, very poor.
Overall, my son loves his Megladon monster truck! It’s really fast and is a great outdoor toy.Cons: it flips over very easily and my son always has to go pick it up, which is annoying. The battery life is pretty short - you only get about 30 minutes of driving before it needs to be recharged. I appreciate the storage compartment on the bottom for the usb cord, but it’s a pain to fit the cord back in there.Despite the cons, for the price and fun it provides, I recommend the product.
I gave this a bad review, when we first bought it, because the blurb claims it is suitable for indoor use - it really isn't! It is far to fast to use inside a house, without causing damage. HOWEVER, in the garden it has been a lot of fun. It is very robust. My 3 yo son loves it. He crashes it constantly, but nothing has broken. I am amazed at how tough it has proved to be. I now rate this product much better.
Our son isn't really into toy cars but to our surprise requested "a monster shark truck that drives on water" top of his list for Christmas. After charging it up, I noticed that up close the stickers were already peeling. I felt like for the price point, these could have been better but didn't think much more with regard to quality. Unfortunately, within an hour one of the wheels snapped completely off and the break is not repairable. My kiddo is a pretty cautious, trepidatious child and wasn't driving the vehicle in a rough manner that warranted such a break. My son was incredibly bummed as this was his most wanted item for Christmas. Would not repurchase.
my son absolutely loves this RC. pros; very fast, easily pops wheelies. cons: easily flips over %26 my son has to constantly go flip it back over (which can get annoying); And my main issue with the RC is the battery life. has the quickest lasting battery out of any RC we've ever owned. as soon as he starts actially enjoying it %26 getting the hang of driving it, the battery ends up dying and we have to carry it back home.
