Today I am reviewing this luxuriously soothing body lotion which came to me compliments of Moroccanoil! I am not the biggest collector of body lotions, and when I do purchase one it’s usually to compliment the matching perfume. I actually had never used a Moroccanoil branded product before this sample, so this was a fun and new experience! Though I wouldn’t consider this “perfumed,” it is scented with the pure and delicious smell of various plant oils - making for a spa-worthy moisturizing experience that can be enjoyed on either damp or dry skin. I opened my packet and dispensed a quarter size amount into my palm before spreading onto my forearms. I was amazed at how spreadable this lotion is, and immediately realized I had dispensed more than enough to cover both arms. The lotion is enhanced with the serene scents of sweet magnolia, warm amber, and crisp woods - taking you on an olfactory vacation to the mediterranean seaside. This is not the type of natural/woodsy scent I would typically wear, but as a lotion, it’s muted enough to blend nicely into the background. I would consider the smell to be more of a complimentary scent than a stand-alone perfume scent. There are some skin loving ingredients in this formula that do an incredible job of hydrating and absorbing into your skin barrier so as not to leave a filmy residue. Thanks to an ingredients list rich in antioxidants, essential fatty acids, and natural plant extracts (like aloe leaf mixed with the oils of argan, tsubaki, and evening primrose), this formula saturates my skin while still allowing it to breath and take on a new, more supple glow. A perfect lotion to reach for after a fresh shower to lock in moisture and maintain supple skin.

A no brainer replacement in my daily routine!

I have been using Moroccanoil, Body Lotion Moisturizer, Fragrance Originale for the last couple weeks and I love the results thus far. It is extremely easy to use and I personally saw results quickly. Over the first couple of days I really didn’t see much of a difference from my “go-to” body moisturizer but over the period of the few days following I started to not only see results, but feel them. I can literally watch the lotion absorb into my skin and works almost immediately, lasting almost the entire day. You won’t need too much, it’s not oily, leaving residue on your hands and body (which can be annoying with the added steps of completely drying your lotioned up body parts and washing your hands after) and it’s simple. The one thing I wish was a little different, which most oeople I know would argue is the scent. I like more of a fruity, less potent or unscented smell. Don’t get me wrong, I still like the smell but not my preference scent is all. I will continue to use this product regardless because of the great results! 1,000% recommend trying. The worst that can happen is it isn’t for you and you can gift it to someone you know will use it…. Try this amazing body lotion for , what I would assume to be minor dry skin, definitely very dry shaking and I ca. only imagine using it with normal skin and how soft it would make my skin. Amazing Moisturization;strong scent

This product definitely lived up to my expectations of products from the Morroccanoil company.The lotion is light and left my skin feeling extremely moisturized. It’s a thin formula that rubbed in quickly and didn’t leave a sticky feeling behind (no need to wait to put on a pair of jeans!). It even had a slight cooling feeling to it, which felt amazing on my skin, which tends to be very itchy. I suffer from eczema and contact dermatitis and this lotion did not cause any issues for me at all..even with the strong fragrance, I was left with nothing but beautifully moisturized skin.This lotion has their signature scent added to the formula. I received this as a sample with my latest Sephora order. First of all, for everyone saying that smells bad… Which scent did you get? Everyone is saying how it stinks, but not specifying the scent. I got ambre noir, and I think it smells great! As far as smells, these lotions are very PERFUMEY and spa-like. This might turn some people off, as the one I received was not sweet whatsoever. It’s more of an aromatherapy type vibe than girly and cute. As far as the lotion, it’s a bit thin and feels a little sticky at first but it’s very spreadable and makes my skin feel soft to the touch afterward, so I won’t complain too much about the texture. The lotion absorbs nicely, which I however am one who cannot stand a body lotion that stays tacky with no absorption ability. So that is the one thing I look for. Then of course the hydrating factor comes next and this moisturizing lotion did not disappoint. It checks all the boxes. I of coarse have my go too lotions that i love but im always interested in trying something new. The first thing i noticed when i opened the packet was the smell. I know any usually Moroccan Oil products are coconut based. Cococut is such a unique smell that is most of the time usually very strong. I hate when products smell too coconuty. The lotion did not smell too overpowering with coconut. It was just perfect. The next thing that stood out to me is when i started to put the lotion onto my hand, i noticed that the lotion was more liquidy than other lotions i have used before. In the sample i was able to get to get enough lotion for both myself and my wife to use everyday for 3 days each. I have oily skin. I mean real oily skin. Sometimes using lotion makes it even worse. I did not notice my skin being any less oily or any more oily after using the lotion for 3 days. However, the greatest benefit was my skin was alot softer and smoother. I can only imagine how soft my skin would be if someone continued to use for longer. My wife on the other hand is the complete opposite of me and has dry skin. She has severe psoriasis to the point of flaking, cracking and bleeding. The lotion did help with keeping her skin moist. She did see a little less cracking of the skin. Most lotions tend to irrate her psoriasis. She did not notice any irritation or flaring. One more thing, i did receive so many compliments for co-workers and friends on how good i smelled. Ive never had someone tell me i smelled good for lotion. This lotion is a must for anyone looking on the market for new lotion to try. It worked for both me and my wife who have teo completely different skin types.

It’s very thin and almost watery so it’s ideal if you’re like me and don’t typically love the feeling of thick or sticky lotion on the skin. Once this rubs in it doesn’t feel heavy on the skin. This original scent does initially smell clean, floral - almost like expensive shampoo from the salon - it dries down to something sweeter and warmer and woodier. My only issue is that for some reason once it dries on me the scent goes weirdly smoky on my skin. I seem to have this issue sometimes though and I’m not sure what specific fragrance note does this.
