This product was great until it wasnāt. Worked wonderfully the first few weeks so i didnāt consider a return. well shortly after my hair started to feel extremely disgusting, filled with so much residue and dirty all the time. I double wash and only condition my ends yet no matter how much i scrubbed and double cleansed my hair never felt clean until i used a different cleansing shampoo. Tons of buildup and my roots and middle of the hair, always greasy. I have lots of hair but semi fine so maybe that was the problem. However I do not recommend this for the price. The good smell you smell in the store also eventually goes away and just ends up smelling like rotten cologne that is kinda of nauseating.

I wanted to wait until I finished both the shampoo and conditioner to make an honest review. I had high hopes for this product considering the great reviews. The fist couple times using this product I was happy but not overly impressed. The scent is very nice and I got a lot of compliments regarding the smell but keep in mind it is strong. I continued to use the products throughout the next couple months and all I can say is itās average. I felt as if it was drying out my hair so I would reach for my other hydration shampoo and conditioners. Overall I think there are other products for cheaper that achieve better results . Unfortunately I will not be repurchasing.

I have curly thick hair. Ok i think theres a formulation change because i used this shampoo and conditioner a couple years ago and remember it left my hair shiny, smooth and hydrated. The conditioner too. Heck i even have the mask. After repurchasing it this time the conditioner had a weird toilet bad breath smell. The shampoo is a disaster left my hair so waxy!!! Ive been using this for 2 months now and never realized why ive been having bad hair days because i trusted this too much. Literally does the opposite of what a shampoo should do. So much build up in my hair! And i went back to using my costco hydrating shampoo. My hair never felt better. What a nightmare.

I love love love the "repair" line of shampoo and conditioner and use it often. I tried the hydration, and am severely disappointed that I spent so much money for such a large bottle and the product was lacking. It did not lather, which is fine with me but it left such a horrible residue that took two shampooings to get out on my roots. The hydrating conditioner is amazing but the shampoo is horrible! I didn't notice at first until I went to blowdry and my brush was pulling at my hair and it felt sticky. So I thought, ok didn't rinse enough so rinsed again scrubbing my roots. Went to blow dry, still there so I shampooed and conditioned again, same result. No longer will I have to suffer after discovering this hydration line from Moroccanoil. This will be my first shampoo/conditioner repurchase in probably 3 years. I do not have enough good things to say about this product. I did also purchase the leave in conditioner and would recommend it. Oh my goddddd. I asked for this for Christmas along with the MoroccanOil Conditioner and LEMME TELL YOU - this will have your hair feeling so soft, smooth, hydrated, shiny, detangled, the list goes on. I have long, fine hair, but I have a LOT of hair. So I need something that will clean it well but also detangle and not leave too much excess moisture as thatās what gives me knots. This stuff is like magic I donāt even know how to describe it. It lathers like a dream, smells incredible (do they make a perfume???), and is easily the best shampoo + conditioner Iāve ever used. I will keep repurchasing until I find something better (will that day ever come? Idk). If you needed a sign to buy this, this is it.
The first time I purchased this product I was absolutely thrilled with it. This second purchase I am not happy with it at all. The thing that attracted me to this shampoo and conditioner in the first place was the smell. I absolutely loved it. But this latest purchase smells like thereās something a little wrong with the product like itās either old or been sitting around a long time Iām not exactly sure what it is but itās just got a funky off smell. I am extremely disappointed that it is not the same as the first set that I purchased. It feels great but i still feel that the shampoo gets drying and more frizzy as I wash it out. I gave it a month, Iām getting dandruff and I smell so much fragrance. I also know it has silicones. Iāll admit that I donāt mind it because I can wash it off with a clarifying shampoo to get rid of buildup. I will also admit that it has a good layer of shiny, less frizz and more protection but after a few days, it goes away then feels nasty. Currently, I have virgin hair so I donāt think Iāll buy it again. HOWEVER, if you dyed your hair, go for. It because I think you can benefit from using a silicone shampoo.
