I won a gift card from Moroccan Oil to use on their web site. I'm new to their products since I've only used a oil treatment sample a long time ago. So I went with a shampoo, conditioner, and mask set that came in a cute draw string bag. Reviewed shampoo and conditioner separately. I am over 50 with color treated waist length hair. Its straight, fine strand and alot of it. My hair tends to get frizzy no matter if it dries naturally or blowdry unless I use alot of products and hair straightener. So I used shampoo then towel dried hair. Applied this mask and probably left it on 20 mins as I lost track of time. Rinsed it out and used conditioner from mid strand to ends. Let hair dry naturally. It took a bit of convincing from my colorist to get me to try this mask. I had only tried Moroccan oil previously and noticed that it left a weird yellow tint to my hair overtime. My hair colorist recommended this to me because my hair didn't need anymore protein/keratin but does in desperate need for moisture. I didn't know this before but I guess if your hair is strong and doesn't break easily but just looks dull and dry, then that is when you steer away from the protein/keratin products and look to moisture products. I was advised by my colorist to use this in place of a conditioner and even leave it in and air dry my hair. I wanted to dislike it because of the price but I have to admit that I had great, shiny hair. It looks like I came out of a salon. I would shampoo with any product, ring out water, apply this to my hair with the exception of roots and then twist it on top of my head and throw it into a tight bun. Then, I just let it dry. Alternatively, I left it just down. It gave me shiny waves that are not characteristic of my hair. Have already bought this product again.

My hair is medium to course and wavy and living in a very humid climate can get very frizzy and unmanageable. The climate just DESTROYED my hair before I found Moroccanoil. With this product, I wash my hair thoroughly and make sure it is squeaky clean. I then take this mask, plus some of the actual Moroccanoil treatment oil and mix it together and very thoroughly work it through my hair. I put a shower cap on my head and heat it up with the blow dryer so it really gets in my follicles well. Apart from the gorgeous fragrance it has, my hair feels much stronger after using. I also notice my hair retains more moisture after following with a conditioner. I wouldn’t use it on its own just because it leaves my hair stiff and tangled after rinsing - which I guess it’s the reason why it recommends using a conditioner afterwards. It makes the conditioner I use with it work better than it usually does and I end up with very smooth, silky hair!

My hair is dry and damaged thanks to heat styling almost everyday and living in a desert climate, so naturally that makes me a perfect candidate for this treatment. I notice when rinsing this off, my hair feels stiff and a bit tangled, as if I did a major protein treatment - this is a protein infuse mask after all. Good try, but could do better.

I have partial bleached coarse long wavy hair & I’ve been using this product for about a month and a half now. It definitely does help with the manageability. Took me at least my 3rd wash to see some results but wouldn’t say it does any reversing of damage that’s for sure. Smell is quite perfumey. Does not leave hair feel weighted down. I also realise after a few very sweaty sessions at the gym, my hair ends are back to being a tangled ball till my next hair mask session. However manageability holds up longer when doing lighter sports with minimal sweating.

Have used only 2 times and I’m liking the effects with pairing it with other M products

I have long hair (almost touches my coxis; half of it is dyed because I’m trying to achieve a melted effect.. from my natural dark brown to grey)So my ends need help to maintain its elasticity, moisture and prevent split ends. I got everything from this brand that I was able to afford to start taking care of it . (Repair, protect and restorative products)It has passed 2 weeks and I’m planning on keep washing my hair every 3-4 days; I have experienced NO frizz as before, no tangle hair, it’s feels soft , smell great, more manageable.I hope as I keep with the routine of using only Moroccanoil , that my hair will get ‘repair’ and be ready for my last color sesión 🤞🏼.. Okay product - prefer the intense hydration one

I have very fine, bleached hair. Originally I bought the Moroccanoil kit with the oil, shampoo, conditioner, and the intense hydration hair mask. In regards to the hydration hair mask it was great for my hair and made it very shiny! My hair dresser recommended the restorative one would be better for me. I bought it and it was okay, considering I wash my hair a lot it was helpful, but I did not see the same results with this one. Just bought the hydration one again and I am loving it !! Silky hair and less fly always with this one as well. I think it depends on your hair, I do recommended it as it helped, but the intense hydration one is better for me. Note: I wash my hair about 2x a day… yes I know it’s bad, but I’m ocd and can’t help it.

Sucks the life out of hair

I used this mask two separate times hoping for soft hair and improved condition. The result was a head of straw. I couldn't brush through my hair after the first time and the second left my hair crunchy and breaking on the ends. I have been trying to recover my hair with other restoration creams and it's starting to get better. I am shocked that this product costs as much as it does for it to damage hair like a cheap product. I am really regretting this purchase.

Surprised by the results

I received this as a sample from PinchMe. I don’t usually use hair masks, but since I received a sample of the mask I decided why not? First use and I have already noticed a difference. This is better than just relying on conditioners to soften my hair and detangle. This mask not only helped soften and detangle my hair, it made it look so shiny (BUT NOT GREASY) and healthy looking. I was in disbelief how good this hair mask was and after just one use! The scent of the mask was also amazing. Very therapeutic. I need it as a perfume!
