I recently had the opportunity to try out an amazing oil treatment that promises to work wonders for all hair types, and I must say, I'm thoroughly impressed. This product has truly transformed my haircare routine and has left me with stunning results. Right from the start, what struck me was the versatility of this oil treatment. As someone with fine, straight hair, I was a bit skeptical about using oil. However, this treatment proved me wrong. It's incredibly lightweight and non-greasy, absorbing into my hair effortlessly. On the other hand, my friend with thick, curly hair also gave it a shot and was equally amazed at how well it tamed frizz and defined her curls. The scent is another winner for me. On the other hand, my friend with thick, curly hair also gave it a shot and was equally amazed at how well it tamed frizz and defined her curls. The scent is another winner for me. It's subtle yet captivating, lingering in my hair throughout the day. I appreciate that it's not overpowering, allowing me to enjoy the fragrance without it being too overwhelming. What truly sets this oil treatment apart is the ingredients. Packed with nourishing oils like argan, jojoba, and avocado, it not only adds a healthy shine but also deeply moisturizes and repairs damaged strands. I've noticed a significant reduction in split ends and overall improvement in the health of my hair since I started using it. Application is a breeze. A little goes a long way, so the bottle lasts quite a while. I usually apply a few drops to my palms, rub them together, and then work it through the mid-lengths to the ends of my hair. The results are instant – my hair looks and feels silkier and more manageable without appearing weighed down. In terms of packaging, the product comes in a sleek, easy-to-use bottle with a secure cap. It's travel-friendly and doesn't leak, which is a huge plus for me. As a result, the hair feels softer, smoother, and more manageable. One of the standout benefits of using hair oil is its ability to combat frizz and tame flyaways. It creates a protective barrier around the hair strands, reducing moisture loss and preventing the hair from becoming unruly. This is particularly beneficial for those with frizzy or coarse hair textures. Hair oil also helps to improve the overall health of the scalp. It can soothe dryness, reduce itchiness, and promote a healthier environment for hair growth. Regular use of hair oil can contribute to a balanced scalp, which is essential for maintaining strong and healthy hair. Additionally, hair oil can provide nourishment to the hair follicles, stimulating growth and improving the overall thickness and volume of the hair. It can also help to minimize breakage and split ends, leading to longer and healthier-looking hair over time. When choosing a hair oil, it's important to consider your specific hair type and concerns. Different oils offer different benefits, so finding the one that suits your needs is crucial. Some popular hair oils include argan oil, coconut oil, jojoba oil, and almond oil. Each oil has its unique properties and can cater to various hair concerns. In conclusion, incorporating a hair oil into your hair care routine can have a transformative effect on the health and appearance of your hair. It provides deep hydration, reduces frizz, promotes scalp health, and supports hair growth. Consider exploring different hair oils and finding the one that works best for your hair type and concerns.

There's far too many silicones in here (the first 2 ingredients by volume) for me to be able to recommend this to anyone or to use it on a regular basis myself. For certain hair types, usually fine hair, silicones when used long-term can eventually seal the cuticles and prevent moisture from entering. That can end up in the hair drying out from within. So maybe the Argan oil in this will help? Unfortunately not. There's nowhere near enough of it in here to make any difference (3rd ingredient down AFTER silicones). I do love the bottle this product comes in, as well as the somewhat divisive fragrance added to the oil. I do love the bottle this product comes in, as well as the somewhat divisive fragrance added to the oil. The excellent frizz-taming and conditioning effects of this on my medium-thick shoulder length hair (even if they only last a day) are the reason I do use it on the odd special occasion. I don't find it greasy either, as I do use it quite sparingly. However I could never use this on a regular basis, despite all of its 'cosmetic' benefits. Just like with my skin, I want to be sure that whatever I put on my hair or scalp nourishes and 'feeds' it. Last week I was gifted a bottle of the Moroccanoil Treatment Oil in exchange for an honest review. Even though I got it for free, I promise to be fully transparent in my review so that you can decide for yourself whether or not this is the right product for you. Before using it, I hoped it would smell good and soften my hair without weighing it down or making it look greasy. When I first opened the bottle, I noticed it had a fragrant aroma with warm, vanilla undertones. The scent was gender neutral and just as pleasing to my sons as it was to me. First impressions- It had a rich consistency to the touch, but surprisingly, had to be applied more liberally than I expected to achieve my desired results. First impressions- It had a rich consistency to the touch, but surprisingly, had to be applied more liberally than I expected to achieve my desired results. After a week of use, I can say that it has reduced my flyaways and frizziness and helped me obtain a more sleek, polished hairstyle even on rainy days. This is great news for a girl who lives in a humid climate. I tried it out on my boys who have been plagued with dry hair as a result of tear-free shampoos and kiddie conditioners that don't work. Their hair is noticeably softer and shinier and easier to style. Pro tips - Be prepared to wash your hands with warm water after applying. It leaves behind a little residue. I attribute this to the high quality ingredients. An added bonus of the Moroccanoil Treatment Oil is that it doubles as a heat protector for hair. This was unexpected, but awesome. I have been applying it generously to my wet hair to keep it from getting damaged while blowdrying and using my flat iron. It seems to be working. I have not experienced any greasiness or flat hair since I started using it. I am also excited to report that I have actually been able to reduce the number of hair products in my daily regiment because this product has so many uses. When I put this on dry hair, I start in the middle and work down to the tips. It makes styling easier. Overall 5 stars. I can definitely see myself buying this in the future. Give it a try. It's a good!
So far, I love this product. I have color-damaged, fine, wavy, long, blonde hair. This oil is fairly thick, but I'm impressed with it's ability to still be dispersed evenly throughout my hair. I use this product on the mid-shaft to ends of my hair while it is semi-damp/nearly dry, usually prior to blow-drying. I use a wide-tooth comb to ensure the product is evenly disbursed. Since using this product, I've noticed a reduction in my split ends and my hair feels smooth, soft and silky. A little bit of this product definitely goes a long way. Other reviewers with fine hair have mentioned that this product weighed their hair down - and I can confirm that while this product made my hair look much healthier, I did notice a reduction in volume. Other reviewers with fine hair have mentioned that this product weighed their hair down - and I can confirm that while this product made my hair look much healthier, I did notice a reduction in volume. This is a heavier, more dense hair oil than others that I've used. If you are looking to use a hair oil & still maintain volume, I'd suggest a lighter hair oil like Kerastase or Opalex. Compared to Kerastase or Opalex hair oils, I have noticed that this Moroccanoil oil seems to last longer - I currently am on day 3 of my hair and applied a nickle-sized amount of this oil once before I blow-dried my hair on day 1, and my ends are still silky smooth & I have not had to reapply. Whereas when I have used Kerastase or Opalex hair oils in the past, I've had to apply them 1-2x daily to continuously see results. This product also makes my hair feel clean after use - with other hair oils, my hair has felt like it has a residue on it. Overall, this is a great product for those wanting to help revitalize their dry winter hair.
My hair has struggled with dryness for a few years now. It was actually one of the symptoms that I noticed most before I was diagnosed with hashimost hypothyroid awhile back. Previously I had tried moisturizing shampoos, conditioners, leave in product, as well as coconut oil. Nothing was helping my hair or scalp retain moisture, a problem I had previously never even considered. Well about two weeks ago I got my hands on some Moroccanoil: Treatment Hair Oil and let me tell you what! The first couple days I couldn't really see a difference tovbe honest, but I persisted in using it because 1. All great things Take time don't they? And 2. Honestly, it just smells amazing, I mean really; If it's scent was it's only selling point I would still buy it , it smells that good! But then once I got three or four uses under my belt I thought I began to notice some life flowing back into my hair....I had to have spent an hour or two looking in my bathroom mirror, something I had previously been avidly avoiding, trying to determine if this product was truly working or if maybe the new light bulbs I had installed months prior were casting that ever so slight tinge of shine upon my hair...After all it HAD been well over a year since I had cared to examine my hair thoroughly. As the days turned into a week I could hardly believe my eyes, I am so elated to confirm that the brightness, the buoyancy, the over all life of my hair has undoubtedly come rushing back. This product is truly improving my life as previously I was depressed, embarrassed, and ashamed of my hair dying on me. I would suggest anybody with a hydration and or dryness issue to forget about the price tag, save a couple bucks if you must, but definitely add this product to your hair care line-up because I don't often say it but this product is actually changing my life for the best.

It wasn't a bad smell, but it was noticeably different than the cooler scent of the hair oil I was previously using. Upon smelling a second time, now that I knew what to expect, it smelled warm and cozy with fragrant hints of vanilla. Next, I put a dab on my fingers to see what the consistency was like. It was neither thick, nor thin, but a good balance between the two. I tried some out on my son before putting it on myself so that I could really get a feel for what it was like. My hair naturally produces a lot of oil near the scalp, so I have to be careful when selecting products. When I tried it on my son, it didn't make his hair greasy at all. I found I could apply it liberally without it looking full of product. After a full application and running my fingers through to blend it well, it was noticeably softer to the touch and easier to style. My boys have been having really dry hair lately because we use tear-free shampoo and conditioning formulas, so I have been searching high and low for a good moisturizer. This stuff seems to be working. For the past week, the three of us have been using the Moroccanoil and I am noticing our hair is shinier and less frizzy. This is a huge win for me because we live in a humid climate and I am constantly battling unmanageable frizz every time there is moisture in the air or a really hot day. Even though it rained all week last week, my hair maintained its style and I experienced decreased waviness. Another perk of this product is that the Moroccanoil Treatment Oil doubles as a heat protector for my hair. I apply it liberally while my hair is wet so that I can prevent heat damage when blowdrying and using my flat iron. I have noticed less flyaways and so far it is working as well as the stuff I normally use. Another struggle of mine is having heavy hair. Every hair product I buy is trial and error. Many of them get given away or tossed in the trash because they make my hair look flat. So far, I haven't had that issue with the Moroccanoil. Pro tips: After a week of use I have found that this product can be used on wet or dry hair. It softens, reduces frizz, and protects hair from damage. I have the best success when applying it away from my scalp and closer to the middle/ends of my hair. Prepare to wash your hands with warm water after use otherwise it will leave a residue on your fingers and palms. I think this can be attributed to its rich consistency, which is what I look for in a hair oil. The smell is gender neutral and pleasant. Apply liberally for best results. It has more uses than I initially expected, and I have actually been able to reduce the number of hair products I have to purchase since I've started using it. A few of my coworkers played around with it and have also given it a seal of approval.
I have super-fine but dense type 2A hair that breaks easily, and a dry, flaky (but not dandruff) scalp. My partner, on the other hand, has dense, thick, coarse curls that are forever dry. He has tried all sorts of leave-in conditioners and oil treatments to keep his curls in check, but none of those treatments ever work for me: even a spritz leaves me looking like I've never heard of shampoo. I had great hopes that Moroccanoil Treatment Hair Oil would be the miracle product that works perfectly for both of us.Short story: as usual, it works just fine for him, but leaves me looking oily if I over-apply. However, a very very light gloss over the ends and avoiding my scalp actually gave me some much-needed frizz control! However, a very very light gloss over the ends and avoiding my scalp actually gave me some much-needed frizz control! I don't think I can use this product as effectively as someone with normal to coarse strands or else just naturally dry hair, but I do like how this smelled and the shine it gave to my hair after heat treatment. My partner found it gave him a really nice sheen but did not last as long as cream-based moisturizers for softness. All in all, I do think this is a decent, fairly natural, and good-smelling product that works for the right hair type. It just might not do what you want if you have very fine hair that looks oily easily. I will continue to try to find the pefect balance for my strands, meanwhile my partner will enjoy this as an addition to his existing hair moisturizing routine!
