I have dry straight baby fine gray hair. Love this mousse after using my Moroccan oil volumizing shampoo then blowing out with an air drying brush on medium. Finish with either the dry texturizing spray day one. DoNext 3 days use a little oil days 1 and 3 and hair sprayLots of compliments on my hair!! Was told this week I am rocking it!! It is shiny healthy looking bouncy and soft. I have never loved my hair this much.

I have enjoyed using a lot of Moroccanoil products over the years. And have been happy with them. During the winter I decided my hair needed a lift as the temps and humidity are very low. With great anticipation I ordered the volumizing mousse. Unfortunately I was very disappointed with the product as it didn’t do what I was expecting. It left my fine hair looking flat and somewhat frizzy. I didn’t get the bounce I was expecting.

I have long, fine hair with below-average thickness (not thin, but definitely not thick). I have been getting American Waves (a chemical process similar to a perm) for six months, which gives me a 2A/2B very loose waves. (My natural texture is "bendy", a mix of type 1 and 2A.)This is one of many products I have tried for air-dry styling*. I have used medium-hold gels, salt sprays, mousses, and air-dry creams. This is my favorite product so far for Day 1 results, but doesn't perform as well on Day 2+.What I like:- Like other Moroccanoil products, the smell is amazing and not too strong.- Very rich thick foam (definitely feels like a luxe product)- Gives nice definition and volume on Day 1- Lightly moisturizing and doesn't weigh my hair down- Not sticky at ... I still had good definition, but my whole head had more of a frizzy/fuzzy "halo" that I get with my favorite products (or no products). That said, I am still inexperienced with wavy styling, so that might be due to my (lack of) refresh technique. I am going to experiment with that, and see if I get better results.* I have found that my wash technique has a bigger impact on my results than the styling product I use. I wash with Kenra volumizing shampoo and scrunch in their conditioner, wet plopping in a shower cap before rinsing. Then I dry-plop in a microfiber towel after scrunching in a styling product (or not). After air drying, I zhuzh the roots for volume. Different products can improve the definition and volume, but this routine seems to be what makes or breaks the shape, spring, and clumpiness of the waves.

My hair has been thinking for some time, and I have tried all the volumizing products. Most do nothing besides make my scalp feel gross and make my hair oily faster. This mousse really helps to plump up the roots and makes it appear I have more hair than j do, which helps to hide the places where you can see scalp through the hair. It’s not a cute all; my hair is still thinning. It just helps me to hide it and feel a bit more confident.
I am annoyed: zero volume, flat hair. And Fr. 30.-- lost for this NOT volume foam.I have a lot of hair of normal thickness and feel zero effect. Could just as well have taken nothing.Way too expensive, especially since it does nothing at all!Moroccanoil shampoo and conditioner are also not for my hair. They become flat, lame...for this they are over perfumed. Never again what from this brand. I have lost a lot of money this way!Not recommended!
I have very thin, very fine hair. A lot of products will weigh down my hair or make it look greasy. Even products that are supposed to volumize or thicken my hair. But this stuff? I am in LOVE with it. I have this and the Moroccan oil thickener lotion that I use with my revlon hairbrush dryer and it works wonders!! My only issue is if I do actually spray the product directly on my roots I’ll end up with spots that are kind of crunchy after my hair is dried or it leaves an unpleasant texture where the product built up too much. So I would recommend spraying onto your fingertips and then working it through your roots instead!!!! That’s what works best for me to get it distributed more evenly. I would HIGHLY recommend this product to anyone with any hair types. I’ll never use another root boost ever again. I love all the products I’ve tried from Moroccan oil. ❤️❤️❤️
I recently ordered multi products from Moroccan oil, but they sent me root boost instead of the volume mousse. Luckily, I finally reached them by phone. I had sent numerous emails, but never received a response. When I phoned, I talked to Erica. She corrected the mistake of wrong product. She was super and very accommodating. Thanks Erica
I have very fine hair which sometimes causes me absolute horror. This product is absolutely wonderful. You need such a small amount and it creates so much volume. It doesn't make your hair feel sticky in any way. Even the next day my hair still looks great and even after having a shower and the bathroom becoming steamy my hair still looks brilliant. It is an absolute pleasure to use. Will definitely be purchasing again.
I tried this product at my local salon and I was impressed at how my hair held its shape after this product was applied and blow dried. I just purchased my first bottle and was pleased with the results of doing my own hair. It’s lightweight but it holds the curl of a blow dry and makes hair look very shiny. Best part is the next day you can brush your hair out and it doesn’t feel greasy or like there is product leftover in your hair. I’m only using small amounts and getting very good results. Great product and glad I tried it!
I bought this to help with hold when I curl my hair ( I have very long, thick hair that refuses to hold a curl ) and every time I use this mousse, my curls stay in for hours. They don't feel crunchy like other mousses make my hair feel, it feels incredibly light in my hair, and of course, smells absolutely incredible. 10/10 would recommend to anyone who has thicker hair that struggles to hold a curl!
