As like several other reviews avoid, very expensive for a kettle that only lasts 2 years, this kettle leaks, the paint scratches too easily and the water gauge doesn’t work. Save your money. This is the most expensive kettle and what I thought was the nicest I ever purchased and lasted the least amount of time. I contacted but as I don’t have proof of purchase as this was a gift and the giver no longer has proof of purchase team unable to help me.

I bought this kettle and matching toaster for my first home 18 months ago as with other low reviews after a year of using the paint begun to chip away. Condensation around the water level display caused erosion of the kettle. The kettle began to leak from the base which in turn has caused my worktop counter to warp from water damage where it joins to the wall which will now need replacing as well as the kettle. Do not purchase if you’re wanting a long lasting product

I bought this kettle just 1 year and 11 months ago for our first home. We only started using it in 18 months ago when we moved in. The colour on the outside started chipping off in the first couple of months and no harsh chemicals were used to clean it. In the past couple of months it’s been leaking from the bottom near the switch. I bought it with a two year warranty but unfortunately didn’t register it within 28 days so they will not replace it. I bought Morphy Richards as I thought if you pay the money it’ll last longer and I was wrong. Don’t waste your money but if you decide to make sure to register the product for when it inevitably breaks.

I bought this Kettle from Curry's just over 2 years ago and use it like any other normal person and it started leaking about 2-3 months ago. Initially just a little bit and now its a puddle every time. I contacted customer service after seeing after seeing so many negative comments about leaks. I had assumed that I too would be covered by the 2 year warranty that is claimed on this site. After a few email exchanges it turns out its only covered if purchased direct or registered it with them. Fine but the person I spoke to had the audacity to say that the reason for the leak (despite the vast majority of negative comments on here being about a leak) is due to "Customer Misuse". I mean how does one actually misuse a kettle?!?! Morphy Richards has lost me as a customer!
Bought this kettle along with the toaster through Curry’s last year. Both look fantastic, love the design and colours, but sadly the kettle has started leaking just as the warranty has expired, so very disappointed with the quality. This is not the first Morphy Richards kettle I have purchased that has started to leak. Thought it might just have been the previous design (glass). Because of the matching toaster will likely buy a replacement, but my next matching products are unlikely to be this brand.
Pros: Bought this to replace a De'longhi Icona kettle that broke (electrical fault) after a solid 14 years of good service. This Morphy Richards kettle was much more affordable initial purchase price (although I tend to consider the cost of items as price per year after the total number of years an item lasts for). This Morphy Richards kettle in Midnight Blue and Rose Gold seems very good quality and well made, with a lot of attention to detail. It boils quickly & is not loud. I find its shape & paint finish very pleasing, it is nice to look at & it feels very stable with its shape. The paint around the lid of the kettle is already looking old and tatty after a few months from simply removing the lid to fill and heaven forbid if you tap the edge of the sink while filling- you will mark it. The spout is nice and wide which means you can fill a cup quickly and it also comes to the boil rapidly too. Spent ÂŁ80 and couldn't wait to show off my attractive kettle and matching toaster. In less than a month, the handle and the lid began to corrode and my briefly gorgeous-looking kettle quickly looked tatty and hideous. I'm embarrassed to offer my friend's hot drinks as it looks so scruffy. Before the corrosion, it needed careful cleaning as fingerprints show up on it terribly too.We live in a very soft water area and the kettle gets used morning, evening and more frequently at the weekends. Do not waste hard earned money on this product.
