I used to have a Moto e5 Supra and loved it. Over time I needed a better camera for social media pictures and as I looked around in my price range the Moto G Power stuck out as worthy consideration. Just a learning curve really, but still could be made for a better UX.>The original swipe settings (I liked the normal intuitive way you swiped with the e5 Supra so when I purchased the G Power I discovered they tried to "improve" the swipe experience by putting in a whole different way that wasn't intuitive and kinda sucked really. So, the good news is you can change those settings to behave like a normal phone with intuitive swipes. I figured it out on day one during initial 15-minute set-up). So it was annoying but quickly went away.>The tutorials (The fact that they had tutorials is pretty cool but the tutorials were not organized in a easy to read menu list style and instead are made to look like an eclectic Windows 10 panel) It's personal preference really but seemed like it could've been easier to find the tut on the feature you've having issues with (like figuring out the camera settings)Conclusion: You will not find a better phone with all the features/hardware that you get for this price. It could easily compete with the Flagship $1,000 phones. Motorola makes a good phone and I will be a long term customer based on this phone and my last phone purchase.

All I'm saying is if I hire a photographer to do a shoot, and they show up with a phone and call it a camera, they're fired on the spot!As far as durability is concerned, I tend to drop things often... so I bought a cheap case to protect the prettiness of the phone... which will never be seen anyway because it will remain, ummm... in a case... how's that for dumb logic?!!! HAHAHA!That said, my experience with Moto phones with regard to durability is that they build tanks that coincidentally, you can make a call on... so I came back to them when it came time to replace my last phone... because if anyone can destroy a phone it is me. NO, REALLY... I THROW them! It's fun to hear people gasp and watch them spit soda out their nose when a phone goes bouncing past them on concrete! Then I go pick it up, push the buttons, smile, and say... "Yup, still works!"Hopefully when I have gotten a few more miles with this phone under my belt, and the case looks like it was dragged behind a truck for miles, the phone will still be laughing at me and saying, "Pfft, you call THAT rough handling? HA!"Last but not least, the battery... how can I describe the battery life to you...... OK, got it.This phone runs circles around every other phone I have had since my Moto X 2nd gen... and when I say runs circles around them , I mean when they are crawling on the ground, tongue hanging out, gasping for breath, this phone is jogging in place next to them, challenging them to another two days of sprinting!!!OK, so... I sincerely hope this helps you make a decision to replace your piece of @#$% iphone, or whatever other pretend version of a phone you have been using, and toss the $ on the table for a Moto... for this phone, even though it's year old technology!

I've owned 4 Motorola phones in the last few years as well as iPhones, and Motorola is constantly evolving and getting better. So much so that I switched back to it after not enjoying how Apple cut corners on the iPhone SE.I would've rated this as a 5 star purchase, except Motorola did take a few steps back from the G6 I previously had. The biggest disappointment being not being able to use your SD card as internal memory. I don't get why they would remove the ability to use portable storage. The other let down being they removed face unlock as a unlock feature for the phone. This isn't as big of a deal, but face unlocked worked really well on my G6 so I would've liked to see it on the phone. Still I would highly recommend this phone to anyone wanting a really great budget phone at an affordable price.

I needed a bigger phone for my vision as well as wanting a phone with a better battery. After using this phone for a week now, I am super impressed with the value for the price. It can do everything my iPhone could at a fraction of the cost. Being so packed full of features, some that the iPhone doesn't have. The biggest improvement is the battery, as I've got 9 hours and 52 minutes of screen on time and 34 hours between charges at the most. The performance is also really good for a stock Android phone with a snapdragon 665 processor in it. It has been able to handle everything I've thrown at it. I've owned 4 Motorola phones in the last few years as well as iPhones, and Motorola is constantly evolving and getting better. So much so that I switched back to it after not enjoying how Apple cut corners on the iPhone SE.I would've rated this as a 5 star purchase, except Motorola did take a few steps back from the G6 I previously had. The biggest disappointment being not being able to use your SD card as internal memory. I don't get why they would remove the ability to use portable storage. The other let down being they removed face unlock as a unlock feature for the phone. This isn't as big of a deal, but face unlocked worked really well on my G6 so I would've liked to see it on the phone. Still I would highly recommend this phone to anyone wanting a really great budget phone at an affordable price.
I upgraded from an iPhone 6, to this phone around a month ago, and I'm so happy I did. I'm not supposed to say how much I paid for it, but I got it on a really good black Friday deal, if it had been the original price, I do not think I would have bought it. The camera app is glitchy sometimes, it's a little bit slow occasionally, but those are really the only two gripes I have. The screen is gigantic, if you have small pockets, I'd recommend a smaller phone. It's really tall vertically, which makes for an odd contrast ratio, and at times awkward looking pictures and selfies, when you're looking at them from other devices. The shutter speed is quite slow sometimes, which is SUPER annoying when it happens. The audio it picks up though is great, unless you're recording voice notes in the messages app. The battery life is absolutely phenomenal. Sometimes I have ended the day with 2 1/2 hours of screen on time, and 80% battery. It's RARE that I will end the day with less than 50%, and I have an app installed that tracks my location at all times, so that drains more battery than normal as well. The fingerprint sensor is also very fast, and reliable. Speakers are super loud, which comes in handy. If you have only $250-$300 to spend on a phone, this would be one to consider, but if you can get this on a deal that puts it at $200 or lower, it is amazing value for the money. Another amazing thing I've loved about this phone is just how much I can change about it. With my iPhone 6 there was none of it, but with this phone, I can change almost anything I want. Oh also, haptic feedback (vibrations when you touch a key) are good, not great, but not horrible, in my opinion.

Using same apps and same usage G7 power would have 60% - 70% remaining while newer G power is down to 30% - 35% by end of a 12 hour day. Phone used mostly for hotspot, and podcast listening with 0 - 60 minutes of talk, no text, 60 - 90 minutes of screen on time - mostly at 0 - 20% brightness, and in phone data use for downloading podcasts and updating apps only. Don't know if something Motorola can update to improve battery life or if lower battery life due to larger higher resolution screen and superior stereo sound.LTE speed OK for where I live in remote Alaska. Have also used for taking photos of documents with great results.Overall, a better phone than the G7 power with much superior stereo sound with a touch of base, faster processor, and larger higher resolution screen. For me, the screen resolution is not a plus as I cannot see a difference on any screen resolution higher than 720 on such a small screen. For those that care, phone charges in a couple of hours, but for me it doesnt matter as I plug in at 1800 when I go to sleep and unplug fully charged at 0600 when I wake up.
I've bought Motorola phones ONLY, since the first "MOTO G" (Google phone). I went up to the G3, eventually came across the POWER 2021. The '21 version has the absolute longest lasting/fastest charging battery of all the *Power* phones. I search for this exact year and it's hard to find. I have bought a few Unlocked to have as backups . This will NOT update past os 11, which is perfect..I do not like a bunch of extra doo-dads which supposedly make my "experience" better....NOT!
Are simply the best of all Motorola phones.....Especially the 2021 model.I have used the newer Powerphones, but this one us exceptional.The battery life is unmatched and it recharges ::::::fast.An included HEADPHONE JACKand FM radio as well.The 2021 Power is hard to find, especially unlocked and new.I am ecen continuing my sesrch for a back-up, even if locked to a certain service such as BOOST/METRO (now merged as one company).My first cell was Mororola theG3, Google phone...begore Lenovobought Motorola.I've stayed with Motorola continuously.I still scan ebay, amazon, etc. forpre-paid Power 2021s, as they can be inexpensive..IF YOU CAN FIND ONE.
This is probably the last year I can make this recommendation, but for the money, you're better off skipping the new releases and picking up a used Moto G Power 2021, instead. Excellent battery life, and powerful enough for everything a phone should do. Unless you're trying to keep up with bleeding-edge gaming... on your phone?.. this is everything you need, and the best bang for the buck. You won't find more power with a longer battery or a better screen, for less. Even in the newer offerings from the same manufacturer. This is the one.
I have always purchased Motorola phones because I feel like they drop fewer calls and are somewhat indestructible. This phone is completely unreliable. At any given moment, you can lose service all together and not know it until you try to make a call or send a text message. The point of having a cell phone is so my kids can get in touch with me wherever they are - what good is a phone that won't take calls and I don't know it's not taking calls? Bought one for my husband at the same time - they both do this. Pick a different phone if you need something reliable. This loss of service has nothing to do with location, as it mostly occurs while I'm at home or in my office.
