Launched in 2022, the City Extra expands Michelin's range of tyres for scooters and mopeds. Designed to meet the demands of urban two-wheel travel, this tyre offers increased longevity and better grip on wet roads thanks to an adaptive and durable tread, equipped with Michelin Water Sipes. The City Extra also benefits from Michelin's "overlap" puncture-resistant technology, already present on the City Pro model, but with improvements. This robust and durable tyre is ideal for city travel with safety and agility.

These City Extras replace worn Michelin S2's. I was happy with them, but these City Extras seem to be very similar to my Michelin City Grips on my larger 2022 Yamaha Xmax 300. Their ride characteristics are very solid and similar to each other.

The difficulty of finding quality tires like these for normal 20x3 or 20x4 E-bike rims is what made me buy a Talaria X3. And luckily Michelin has two types for the wheel sizes that bike comes from. But on the side note, you should make some tires available for the regular E-Bikes because I am not selling my old one. So in the future make sure you have at least one model in your lineup and save some lifes.

Great scooter tires. 300 miles so far in cold PacNW winter conditions. Cold mornings on cold wet asphalt and still lots of grip and stability. Pliable tread and material. Too soon to give longevity review. Will update after logging a few thousand miles.
i have ridden this tire for a few months to break in and evaluate. handling sharp, responsive but tend to lean too much for me, i like tire that want to go upright but it's only a matter of getting used to the new way of handling and after 1 month i can fully confident pushing this tire to the limit. and i ended up pusing to the limit of my bike and i can feel the tire still have way more to give. grip is outstanding, you can actually feel the tire want to stick to the road like a magnet but i can fell braking performance is not as good as my stock tires. i was quite concerned by the less contact area but it is way more than i'll ever need and the comfort is absolutely mind blowing, this tire just fly by the small bump and uneveness of the road like magic. highly ...
