I’ve been using RAM mounts for a long time on my bike and have been seeing the ads for Quadlock system for years. After getting an iPhone I was made aware of the camera sensor issue that could come from the vibrations. I felt like I was being forced to switch to this system after finding out about the vibration dampener. Well, after getting the products in my hands and setting them up and using them, I have to say I am completely convinced. The quality is too notch. They’ve really thought this through and I am very happy with the mechanism and various accessories that come with it. Even down to the tripod! My only complaint is that the case is quite ugly - Matte black only option is a bit disappointing. But what can I say, function and utility triumphs looks. I also noticed not all MagSafe chargers work with the mag case, 80% do and the rest don’t. I think it has to do with certain chargers not being strong enough with slightly added thickness of the case. No way to find out until you try so that is a bit annoying. Anyways great job and you won’t regret getting this.

I just installed the stem mount pro on my 2006 Yamaha FZ6 with some modification to make it work. I have yet to drive with it since there’s still snow on the ground but I have no doubts about it. The quality is great and the iPhone case is solid. I feel completely safe with riding and my phone being held in by this mount. I am a little disappointed that I can’t use the poncho and a screen protector at the same time but it makes sense as to why they both don’t really work together. I am very happy with everything and I’ve even purchased more from quad lock because of it. Thanks for the great product, warranty, quickness of delivery and appearance as well as multiple case holders for different applications and the results speak for them selves. Would recommend to ... MoreI just installed the stem mount pro on my 2006 Yamaha FZ6 with some modification to make it work. I really wanted to like the quad lock system for my Yamaha Fj-09. I almost purchased the $80 “integrated “ charger also. I already have a way to charge my phone on the bike, and I normally have a full battery. So I decided to wait with the charger. I did however decide to purchase a poncho, despite the reviews. I figured that I would be able to make my touch screen work. Just like the product description says. So, of course my touch screen didn’t work with the poncho on, exactly like everyone else said in the reviews. So I removed my premium Zagg glass screen protector and tried again. Just like the product description says. So, of course my touch screen didn’t work with the poncho on, exactly like everyone else said in the reviews. So I removed my premium Zagg glass screen protector and tried again. The poncho still wouldn’t allow my touch screen to work. The quad lock case on my iPhone 12 Pro makes my phone feel clumsy in my hand, but with the rubbery poncho, the phone “feels” more secure in my grip when using it. So I really wanted the poncho to work. Otherwise I would have to buy a life proof case and add the stick on quadlock, because I’m already committed to the mount on my handlebar. Also with the poncho, I used an exacto knife to cut out holes so I could access the mute switch and charger port. But no matter how patient and diligent I was, I couldn’t get the touch screen to work adequately. So back to Verizon for a new premium $40 Zagg glass screen protector. That fixed the touchscreen, but I still had the “clumsy” feel of the phone case. So I used the exacto knife to cut out the touchscreen area of the poncho. Now I have the “grippy” feel of the poncho, and can actually use the phone. So now I’m discovering the rubber camera protector part of the poncho, on the back of the phone, is getting scratched and distorting my pictures. I’ll probably have to cut that out next. Then I’ll just have a rubbery, flimsy (basically a loose rubber band) wrapped around a clumsy feeling (but very expensive) phone case. If I wasn’t already $200 into it, (or could go back in time) I would go with a different handlebar mount system.
I love this set up! I was looking for a safe, secure option to attach my iPhone 12 Pro Max to my Honda Trail 125 and this was the perfect match! The cover fits my phone perfectly, the arm provides a super secure attachment to my trail bike handlebars, and the locking mechanism makes it easy to lock and unlock my phone from the bike. I did purchase the optional rain/weather cover and vibration dampener and highly recommend both. I primarily ride this bike on dirt road and bumpy trails and this set up works perfectly, giving me the confidence my phone will stay in place without worry. Did I mention I love this set up?!?! :-)
Overall, a very good system and I like it very much. However, when I loosened the wireless mount screw it actually broke the plastic retaining design on the other end of the screw. I had to hold it together with pliers in order to screw the bolt down during mounting to prevent the bottom "nut" from spinning in the plastic retention pocket. It's mounted and I'm not planning to remove it, so it's fine, but it should have either had a stronger design on the end of the screw to prevent it from spinning in the plastic holder or less torque required to loosen the screw.
Installation was easy and the tools were provided. The kit provided everything I needed and the product has held up well for the first month or so. Vibration dampener works well and as intended. I switched from Rokform because I was worried about messing my phone up from vibrations, especially from my bike which vibrates a lot. Everything’s plastic, so it’s lightweight. I like how it all fits and locks together, it feels very solid and not worried at all that it might fly off. Cheaper than my previous mount and still just as functional. The overall vibe of the whole thing is great and worth the money. I ordered a case, mount, vibration dampener, and colored latch. The overall vibe of the whole thing is great and worth the money. I ordered a case, mount, vibration dampener, and colored latch. Things I don’t like: the extra cost for the color option and that everything is plastic. For the color options, I would’ve rather had the option to change the color than to pay almost $10 extra just to have a different color latch in addition to the blue one. With the plastic construction, I know that it’s about function and reducing cost and increasing production. Instead, maybe have a metal version, in addition to the current, that reflects the appropriate cost to allow uses to pay for a “nicer” looking product who don’t want an obviously plastic mount sticking on their bars. This was something I enjoyed about the Rokform. Lastly, the case is very basic and smooth, and I like it, but added design on ergonomics would be a nice luxury. Overall, I recommend buying this product to save some money, protect your phone, and to have the ability to add extra features like wireless charging and added environmental protection while in more extreme environments. Being able to buy a basic package and later upgrade it is a huge benefit as well.
The Quad lock mount and phone case are excellent.I had some difficulty in fitting the handle bar mount to my bike (Kawasaki Z900RS) as the handle bar tube differs in diameter over its length. The final (only) mounting position, slightly obscures the speedo display, but not too muchThe only negative comment I have is on the iPhone 7 Plus weather cover. It is not clear plastic, but slightly opaque. This makes it difficult to read the phone display in sunlight (with sun visor)It also did not total prevent water ingress during heavy rain.Overall I am pleased with my purchase of the quad lock, but would like the rain cover to be more effective.
I have had to replace two phone cameras in the past because of vibration damage from mounting my phone on my motorcycle. That’s why I bought the quad lock pro, iPhone case, screen protector and vibration dampener before I went on a motorcycle trip last week. It was very unfortunate that after spending $129.99 to switch from another phone mount and case system for my phone to quad lock that my camera was damaged after 1 day of riding with the quad lock. I’ve spent the money to have this problem solved because I trusted quad locks claims and I’ll be spending the money to have this phone repaired now. I emailed customer support about my experience and received a reply that I would be hearing from them within 48 hours. 5 days later I’ve still heard nothing. Phone Case:+ Solid and well made.+ Functional charging via magsafe+ Functional and safe connection to holders- Thin and pretty phone looks like a brickBrake reservoir mount:+ In principle, an excellent idea+ looks good- Non-functional or very poorly functional mounting threads, complained of.- The second piece received as part of the claim has the same problems.- Serial defect, I do not recommend.Anti-vibration pad:+ It probably dampens some vibrations- It does not dampen all vibrations and does not work as shown in the presentation video.- It doesn't look nice
