Pros: I'm a huge Samsung fan and have been for years. Well not anymore, this phone completely blew me away. Picture quality is absolutely fantastic. Loads of features. Battery life is amazing and charge from zero takes no time at all. I personally HIGHLY RECOMMEND this phone. Infact a few of my apple and Samsung user friends have commented on the quality and the phone and picture quality too. I will never go back to Samsung again and the price is outstanding too for just over £250.00. Buy this phone you will not be disappointed.Cons: None what so ever.

Did plenty of research before purchasing this phone. The technical spec is as good as the big boys and I have no concerns at all as to its performance and ability to perform on all levels as well as some phones being twice or thrice the price. Its probably on the slightly larger size for someone who wants to have it popped into their back bum pocket but the obvious advantage of that is that the contents of the nice bright screen can be seen easily without having to draw your eyes out like organ stops. My wife liked the phone so much that she purchased the Edge Lite and is equally impressed.Totally happy with my purchase, great price and also reassurance of purchasing from John Lewis who's customer service team have never failed us in the past.

Great purchase

I think the absence of a headphone jack and expandable memory should have been made clear during the presentation. Everyone's needs of their smartphone vary. For me personally neither of these are an issue but would have not been happy if they were! This purchase replaced a much cheaper android phone with only 16GB so the 128 of this one makes my life much easier. Set up was straightforward the only thing it failed to load were old text messages but all whatsapp and everything else etc migrated no problem. The software is intuitive to use, the camera is great and the screen so clear. It was a considered purchase but I'm very happy I did.

Lacks adaptability.
8 May 2022

As mentioned no headphone jack. No memory expansion, I think 100 GB will run out very quickly. No USB C to USB 3 adapter, can't connect to my older laptop. Tried my old USB C cable, just keeps falling out. After a days use half the battery gone, looks like a phone that will need constantly charging. I hate this Android operating system navigating apps is very annoying, took me ages to work out how to customise the ring tones etc. not happy with the camera very grainy in low light and difficult to control zoom etc.Finger print recognition took half hour to complete.I do like the screen and thats about it.

Pros: None. The camera is advertised as 108mp but automatically only takes pictures in 12mp unless changed in the settings and has to be changed for each photo as it automatically reverts to 12mp after each shot. I bought this for the 108mp as I take a lot of photos but is virtually useless for my needs. It comes with Google mail pre installed and if it is uninstalled then the photo transfer function doesn't work. Now I just use it as a phone and have reverted back to my Samsung for camera use which has a far superior camera. Not impressed at all with the Motorola Edge 20.Cons: Don't pre install Google mail. Don't advertise as a 108mp camera when for daily use it is in actual fact just 12mp. Plus the camera settings are complicated and cumbersome to use. The ... MorePros: None. So I got this phone as a backup while my Samsung S20 is in for a small repair. Understand this phone is cheaper and of lesser quality but I'll try to not make it bias.Overall out of the box this phone is terrible. I spent half a day customising all the settings and after that it's better. The screen refresh rate is outstanding and very noticeable but it's far to responsive and touchy. The finger print scanner I thought way great as it sits nicely positioned but I found putting it in my pocket I wouldn't realised if the phone would unlock itself and start calling people or opening apps. Never had this issue with any other phone.Battery is still only a week old but at the moment it's fantastic, great battery life.Camera's are huge and bulky but don't deliver ... MoreSo I got this phone as a backup while my Samsung S20 is in for a small repair. Why don't all phone companies provide great charges without paying extra?Keyboard is super annoying mainly because I was larger hands so I always find the wrong keys are being pressed. Getting used to the smaller keyboard though. The speaker is terrible! During phone calls people always complain they can't hear me, loud speaker is to quiet, media playback the lowest setting is still to loud, quality of audio playback isn't good either.Got this phone on special luckily, I would've taken it back if I paid full price. Still don't think it's worth the discounted price. Surprised how light it is. I'm used to a smaller phone so I do find this phone over the top large.

Motorola the good and the bad
25 December 2021

Agree and disagree with what other owners say about it.I have owned a few Motorola's in my life and they were amazing phones, last being the G5 plus.Let's start with the bad. The sound. Absolutely terrible speaker, one of the worst I ever came across. If you are gaming or watching a YouTube video, it's so bad, from that mono speaker. Those bulky câmaras, don't really make that stance in real life when using them. True there is a massive zoom, but the software to use them when zooming is really laggy and pixelated.... Damm I love still my older Pixel 3 xl!The UI that comes standard is so bad, was really annoying me with those slide features....I couldn't wait to go back to the 3 button feature. The good things: it's amazingly light with that big battery, fits ... MoreAgree and disagree with what other owners say about it.I have owned a few Motorola's in my life and they were amazing phones, last being the G5 plus.Let's start with the bad. I really enjoy when gaming, super fast and that snapdragon processor dies the job well. This was not to be my main phone or gaming phone, but a daily second phone usage with some gaming, and does the job for it. But I was expecting a better build from Motorola.

Unfortunately too many faults
8 June 2022

Well it is a beautiful handset in my opinion. And the one bonus I don't remember the presentation mentioned was the fact that it holds 2 sim cards, which for me was a real bonus. Unfortunately I came across too many issues with this handset, and I am not sure if all are faults or bad issues with the handset itself: firstly for me personally because I like to charge my phone wirelessly the fact that the back cameras protrude and the Back of the phone is not flat made it impossible to charge it wirelessly, having said that I could compromise on that, however I found that the telephone reception is really bad, in areas where I had no issues with my old Samsung telephone, and even with the aid of wifi calls that did not improve the quality of the call. The quality of the call while on speaker diminished more and was not existing. In addition the connection to my car even with the cable kept getting lost and the screen sometimes got stuck. This phone has to go back. And it is a shame as along side all the issues it actually a lovely phone, but I lost the trust in the brand and so couldn't risk a replacement and a potential disappointment once the 60 days of QVC grace will pass.

great phone, amazing camera!
9 May 2022

I have always used iPhones but took a chance on this Android phone because of the incredible camera and the way it was described on QVC. I absolutely love it and have just sold my iPhone as I'm so impressed with this Motorola. My only problem has been copying my iPhone data as the method described didn't work. I have still decided to keep the phone even though a lot of work has gone into reloading the passwords etc. I managed to copy my photos though (phew!). Yes, getting used to Android is a bit clunky but for the price of this phone at the TSV offer it's worth persisting. It's light to hold as well. The camera is superb and I can't wait to take loads of photos this Summer. Overall I'm slightly in love with my new 'best friend' the Edge 20!
