I have a strong hsitory with Motorola, going all the way back to the StarTac flip phone, original Razr, Moto X, Moto X2, Motorola Atrix. I switched to Samsung with Galaxy 9 and loved the hardware, just not a fan of Samsung ecosystem. Went to the Motorola edge (not plus) and loved it, but it was so tall and the mid grade specs aged quickly. Recently come from Pixel 6 which is a fantastic phone with obviously one of the best cameras. Love the Google specific Android features. However, I love the Motorola OS. Almost stock android, with moto specific features. I also like the curved screen (this one is awesome). I miss the edge mini shortcuts of the original edge, but not a big deal. Camera looks sloppy compared side by side with pixel, but most do and after getting rid of pixel, the pictures look great on this phone. Hardware is awesome- fast, plenty of storage for me (256mb). All day use for me (not a heavy user) leaves me with about 35-45% battery and it charges FAST. 68W charger gets me from 35% to 100 in about 30 mins. Cons- it is almost impossible to find tempered glass screen protector and cases can be hard to come by that don't some up too far on the edge of curved screen and interfere with screen protector. Comes with case from Motorola (clear only) and it is hard plastic. The corners of my case are already cracking after 1 month (I rarely drop my phone and never from any distance)and a piece by the USB-C port is broken. I wish they offered TPU case similar to the one that shipped with original edge, and in a smoke color, not clear.

I have had this phone for a little over a week. So far the phone works great. Screen refresh, battery life and call performance is just as to be expected. Android 12 on the other hand is awful. It came with Android 11 and was fine. As soon as 12 updated, features of the phone became hard to find or didn't work as well. The reason for 4 stars, is the unecessesary charges Verizon wants to charge. Save yourself from a headache and buy your phones online through Verizon and avoid the stores altogether and set up yourself. They are also bumping up the price of my current plan because one phones on it is now 5g, which doesn't cover much of the area I'm in. I bought a 5g phone because of trying to "future proof" it.But again, as far as the phone, it works pretty well, albeit a bit pricey.

A new phone is kind of like a new relationship. In the beginning it's new it's exciting there's lots of exploration, you try new things with the upgraded camera, maybe get some new apps. The quality of the photos, scandalously good. It plays videos at high quality over the premium Network no delays absolutely fantastic. Unfortunately, like most relationships you run into problems eventually and in this case the problem was communication. No matter what I try, people cannot hear me when I talk on the phone in my car. It sounds terrible all you can hear is crackling noise and my voice barely and it is really irritating. It sucks, makes the hands-free functionality of the phone absolutely useless. If I want to answer a call I have to pull over, disconnect my Bluetooth from the car, and answer the call manually. From reading the reviews clearly I'm not the only person with this problem. I've had a series of Motorola phones and there's always something. The easily breakable screen on the Z-Force I got (love paying $800 for a phone, then the screen breaking less than a week later), now I'm getting a phone that doesn't work in my car, get your act together Motorola. Please, push out an update to the software you're using to connect with customers vehicled, Thank You.
The phone itself is good. It definitely has a few quirks surrounding the sound. The jack is very small and will require an audio adapter of some sort for older headphones. I do use bluetooth primarily though. The bluetooth does not auto connect which is a downgrade from my Droid Turbo. It is true that it did not come with the wall charger and requires usb c to c. I purchased longer c to c cables and you can also purchase usb-a to C if you have older backup batteries that utilize usb-a and can still connect this EDGE which is C.The sound when you talk on the phone is pretty bad if you ask me and it only has one speaker so you have to put the speaker on to hear the individual talk. The issues with the phone are mainly sound, however, the screen could definitely be ... It is true that the phone is large.I've had the phone for approximately 5 months now and the video and gaming have been a great experience. It is definitely an upgrade from my 8 year old phone! I wish I had asked how much more then 256 gb was vs the 128Overall good experience but I've left feedback to improve to top tier.Thank you
I had a Motorola G7 which was a remarkable phone with astounding battery capacity that could last days but it's several years old and I needed a replacement. I looked at the Motorola Edge as a replacement it stated it had up to 2 days worth of battery, and I found that it couldn't even make it one day. I don't use my phone for watching movies or playing games, I use a lot of it for military travel and other things that are work related as well as personal. And the old Motorola G7 was built like a tank and was just a great device that lasted a very long time and if it wasn't wearing out and out of date I would love to have gotten another one. With that being said this Motorola Edge just does not last like it says it does and I had recurring issues with the screen going black when it was on and it would just freeze up and I'd have to do a hard reset mind you on a new phone. The space the 256 GB is nice, and the camera is pretty awesome but it's all useless if the battery doesn't last for me. I'm on the go a lot and I wish Motorola could just make a phone like they used to like the G7 that was an awesome phone. Now you've lost a customer and I've had to switch to a Samsung which I don't like very much but it lasts longer than the edge that I had. So after countless hours in the Verizon store and on the phone I have had to switch regrettably. I'm very disappointed in the Motorola product, and just wish they could get back to building phones like they used to, I would not waste time with this Motorola Edge if you're looking for a phone that has long battery life because it does not and Falls extremely short in fact in my opinion the model is regressed from its predecessor.
I have had a Samsung for years, but it seemed as though Motorola was making a comeback so I figured i'd switch things up. It was most appealing because of the price. But I also like the memory storage, and all the talk about the battery being able to hold for multiple days. There were three camera lenses also so I assumed the camera was going to be above average at least. However, the battery dies in less than a day. Currently at 24% and I barely used my phone all day. Granted I have never had to rush to find my charger, but it is far from the multiple days long battery that was bragged about which to me, was one of the big selling points. So I'm not very satisfied with that. The camera is good. But nothing truly spectacular. They have decent features and all but ... So I'm not very satisfied with that. The camera is good. But nothing truly spectacular. They have decent features and all but nothing that stands out. Which kind of comes with the territory when your shopping for affordability so that's not an issue for me.What is an issue and an absolute inconvenience is the issue I have while recieving incoming calls. This happens at complete random but it happens for more than 75% of my calls. The phone will ring, but instead of displaying anything on the screen it is black. There is no name, no picture, no swipe to accept or deny, nothing just black. It rings the entire time but I have no way of answering and no way of denying it, as well as no idea who it could possibly be, until I let it ring full cycle and go to my voice mail. At which point I am able to look into the missed calls to see who it was. I've had this phone for a couple of months now, and I was hoping it was just a weird glitch, that would go away or at the most, be something that only occured once in a while and therefore I could ignore it. But it has gotten worse, and increasingly more annoying that I really regret getting the phone. If I get 25 phone calls for a day, 19 of them will be doing this. So you can imagine the level of frustration I feel with this phone and no other feature that this phone has to offer could ever tip the scales in it's favor. So for the most part the only thing I can say that has owned up to my very minimum expectation is the memory storage. That has yet to fail me or let me down so far but it's still early in the game. there are two other things I appreciate with this phone. The finger print is in the power button on the side and is super convenient. Thought I would not like it at first but I actually can't imagine why it would be anywhere else now. The last thing that I use daily is the flashlight feature. shaking the phone twice activates the flashlight and it has proven to be super useful. BUT that as well has major let downs. It only works some of the time. Of course for me, those "some of the time" times, happen to be when I am trying to show it off in front of people and inevitably have to open the phone and manually toggle the light on instead. That about sums it up. I really am easy going and am not one to really complain but I am very disappointed and I regret my decision. I wish I could change my mind and go back to my Samsung. But as I've mentioned .. I was mostly drawn in by the cost and you get what you pay for I suppose.
The Motorola Moto Edge 5G UW in my opinion is a fantastic phone. The camera quality is great with 108MP camera with the ability to record in 4K. It's in the settings you just have to look because it is not stock set to the highest quality. For the high res pictures you have to switch it to high res mode. Mine are fantastic. Between plants, family, and sunsets I'd say it does a fantastic job. If you are having a problem making your battery last through out the day, I would suggest lowering your frame rate from 144hz until you really need it such as for gaming. It will last much longer I can assure you. As for charging, this phone is able to be used with a 30W charging block for usbc to usbc. With that being said, it has charged from less than 20% to 100% in less than an hour. There's certainly no problem if you forgot to charge your phone at night and need to leave in 30 minutes? You'll leave the house with over 60% in battery. Now, related to the battery and charging; your phone will get hot if you are playing a high end mobile game such as Call of Duty: Mobile and charging your phone at the same time. Honestly, it's quite simply get a bit warm during a high quality and framerate game when you're using the beautiful 144HZ refresh rate on a good game that supports it. The storage is not an issue on this phone with a whopping 256GB of internal storage and a decent 6GB of RAM with the ability to turn on "Extended Ram" mode to extend your virtual memory which is great to have. One of my favorite features is the Ready For feature. I can quite literally play console games on my TV using Ready For, Xbox Game Pass, and a Moga Gaming controller. (Screenshots below). You can also turn your TV into a giant monitor and your phone, a wireless Console/Computer. It definitely has a bright future ahead. Just speed up the mouse pointer in the settings from the Ready For screen on your casted device. The only two problems I can even consider real issues with this phone is the fact that it does need a fan inside that has the option to be turned off and on through the settings or a switch on the side. Yes, I know it would make the phone bulkier but it would be a nice option for a future phone made for gaming. The only other thing after that is that there's no AUX like many other phones out now so you have to purchase an adapter if you wish to use wired headsets. Other than that, this is still the best phone I've ever had and when I upgrade it will be to the next one like this with possibly even better features.
My favorite thing about Motorola phones has always been the ability to turn on the flashlight with just a motion. That alone is not enough to sell me a phone anymore. It is 6.75 inches tall which is far too big for my hand. When holding it normally my hand only reaches the middle of the phone making it a delicate balance at all times. I can't reach the top of the phone in one motion. It's just clumsy. It looks like a brick in my pocket where it barely fits. The color is ugly and the selection of cases os minimal. Its generally very embarrassing to have. Also I've had it for about a year now and it wont dial out anymore which has caused me plenty of frustration. After several enjoyed Motorola phones and this, I'll be switching back to Samsung. I will say it's very ... Its generally very embarrassing to have. Also I've had it for about a year now and it wont dial out anymore which has caused me plenty of frustration. After several enjoyed Motorola phones and this, I'll be switching back to Samsung. I will say it's very durable. This phone would be great for gamers or people who love streaming on their phones (or anyone with large hands I guess). Other than for those uses, don't bother with it.
My phone service is now 5G and while the phone service provided a patch for me to continue using my not too old smartphone I was glad to move up. I have previously had 2 other Motorola phones and have been very happy with them. The Motorola One 5G UW Ace is a definite upgrade for me, a good phone and affordable 5G phone. It looks sleek and has tons of features at a really great price. Things I like; its 5g, easy to use, has long battery life, fast charging, great camera, good connectivity, and fast processing. The call quality is noticeably improved I can hear calls better even when my surroundings are noisier. My internet speed is greatly improved; the Ace simply zips from activity to activity with no waiting. There are many upgraded features and options on ...
