Glad that I was able to get it for $500 on black Friday, would never have paid full price for it. This phone will wear a case and glass screen protector for the rest of my ownership. I'm also glad that people won't rob me for a Motorola. Will also never get the kind of trade in value for it either as Apple and Samsung actually hold value. Haven't dropped the new phone yet but I'm saving up for the screen replacement now.

As far as I know, That process remains flawed BUT my review DID catch the attention of Moto's customer care team and over the course of a few days Moto issued a credit for the over-charge. I am very loyal to the Motorola brand and have bought every new top of the line phone released going back to the flip phones of the 1990s. I recently upgraded from an Edge 2020. The processor speed, OLED display and especially download speed on 5G of the new phone is an improvement. The camera, even with less megapixels is better. Compared to an iPhone 14, Pixel 7 or Samsung Galaxy 23 the Moto camera may not have as many features or low light quality, but in normal lighting it is as good as my Nikon DSLR. My biggest like of Moto phones, especially unlocked models is the almost -pure Android interface without the bloatware of other brands. I've had several Motorola higher-end phones which did not disappoint and this one doesn't either, but there are a few issues. This phone doesn't have a headphone jack, and a dongle adapter is no longer supplied. Using an aftermarket dongle adapter causes audio to come from the phone's speakers when it's unplugged, even if the audio app has been shut down, necessitating the audio app's kill. Also, there seems to be an issue with screen sensitivity, in that on swiping up to close an app, if the swipe isn't perfectly vertical the app refuses to close and presents the 'clear all' button. Sometimes it takes a few pokes at something to get the desired action. For the first few days of use, battery life was abysmal but apparently the phone worked through those issues and ... I would appreciate a more aggressive security and software update schedule. Overall, a do-buy recommendation.

The repair cost was crazy.The edge + was on sale and was on par with the samsung except for the zoom camera and water dust proofing standards. That said this phone rocks.My cell phone reception is better. The samsung would loose signal in the back end of any store. The edge has a signal you can call on. The Samsung would only show two or three wifi spots when you turn this function on while the edge+ shows 14+. All my past Samsungs were just as bad with reception issues also.It feels like the operating system is smoother and the functional layout is much more user friendly.Motorola has always been weak about system updates but it has no effect on the use. She live in a fringe area. Our calls use to get dropped, poor video call quality, and voice breaking up sometime. I really loved my Z4 with the moto mods and I sacrificed performance to keep the Z4 going as long as I could tolerate it. So, my next Motorola phone needed to have a lot of processing power to make up for the lack of moto mod support. The Motorola Edge Plus 2022 is really fast and can multitask easily. I can run maps on android auto and Sirius XM or other music apps. This phone can quickly change apps as quickly as you think about it. I wish it still had the SD card slot, supported moto-mods, and the headphone jack. The screen is clear and bright, the camera is amazing, and it has a clean install of Android 12. It was a toss up between this one and the Moto edge but I chose this one because of the storage capabilities and because of Motorola is known quality. I definitely like the interface layout over my previous LG. The battery life is pretty solid as well but do not believe the advertisements that it lasts all day unless you basically don't touch it all day. Setup from my LG to this one wasn't too bad although a few contacts and apps were missing during the transfer but that's no big deal. Overall, being able to maneuver on this thing was a pretty simple transition. It helps that I went from an Android to an Android. The only thing I ask of Motorola is that they please ...
