Bought this as a last minute extra fleece that’s a bit thicker than my regular one for a recent trip based on other reviews and must say, this jacket has exceeded my expectations to the point it became my everyday go to. it’s warmer than the regular fleece I have and the high neck priced to be a life saver on windy days. highly recommend this as another quality product from mountain designs

Something could happen to my original 13yo MD Climber, so I got another Climber. I like most of the changes. I don’t like either of the logo changes, but do like the hem lining, and the inner zipper lining appears to be there to help prevent the zipper catching on inside material (which occasionally can be a problem). I’m not a Climber anymore, but this has always been a fantastic mid layer for a light Gore jacket in really terrible hiking/camping conditions.

The photos don't do this jacket justice. It's not just any old polatec jacket. The fit is great and thing like the lined neck, elastic cuffs and waist make it feel really warm. No cold wind chills get in. There is detailed trim on the inside of the zip to also stop the wind. I always get compliments on the jacket that it looks like a really professional/quality jacket.My wife bought one as well as she hates that most women's polatec come in some sort of pastel colour and is a boring cut/design. She is size at and got the men's XS.

This jacket lives up to its claims. It is warm, lightweight and well made. Sizes say small to fit so I bought the XL and I’m average in size and I think a large would have been fine. Great pockets and zips everywhere. Excellent quality and at 1/2 price, an excellent buy.
This thing is great. Went to buy one a year ago and couldn't get a size. So glad they are still making them. Worth the wait for sure. Great design. Love the little things like the high neck, tight cuffs and silicone grip hem. Is some what wind resistant and have warn it plenty of times in light wind just fine but wear a proper wind breaker over the top for windy days. Have also had no issues with pilling thus far. The club discount also made it worth it.
Jacket was a great wear and use on a daily basis. The fleece near the chin was different from the rest and felt extremely soft and plush. Makes one’s face feel so pampered. Great as a mid layer or outer layer under dry conditions.

This is the replacement for the (same) first one bought in the 1995 for a European trip and was a great windbreaker. The original is still being worn, just the zipper has finally failed. The new one has a furrier neck lining which is nice, and is more lightweight, soft and looks smart and huggable on my partner. Looking forward to another very long partnership with this jacket.
Love this jacket. Reminds me of the older style ones I had 15 years ago. It is nice and thick and warm. Good fluffy neck. Really impressed with the sticky bit around the waist so it doesn't slip. I am a woman, 163 cm tall. I bought the XS and it fits nicely. I didn't want any of the other women's colours like lilac or pink. I love this jacket, it is my new go to for winter.
I reviewed this a fortnight ago, but when reminded by email to review it again, I could hardly refuse. Since popular Climber sizes aren’t currently stocked in most stores, I became anxious that it might be the end of the line for the Climber. This might be baseless paranoia, but I purchased a spare to my 12 year old, and 2 week old Climbers, and made a time capsule by putting it in vacuum food wrap with rock salt wrapped in napkin, with the date, and my bake, to be opened in a decade. After a couple of weeks wearing the newer one, I accept all of the trim changes made to the classic design. The pocket drawstrings were better, but they didn’t last. The elastic drawstrings in my 12 year old Climber are barely still there.
