I cultivated the soil by dragging a cultivator tool over the soil. My soil is really poor and tends to clump a lot. After breaking up as much of the clods that I could, I added some compost before spreading the seeds out. They say to thin them but I didn't really do that a lot because I wanted a tight display. The 'love lies bleeding' are coming into colour now and the cornflowers, poppies, stocks and petunias are gorgeous. This is the first pack of mixed seed that I've had such success with. Highly recommend them.

So far I have grown pink Hollyhocks (Mallow) and not much else.There are two other types of flowers growing in the pot but so far they are still at the leaves stage and so I can't identify them. It would be better if the seeds were identified and in separate sachets as trying to identify them has been very difficult, but I love the pink Hollyhocks as they brighten up my home and the flowers are great in herbal teas.
Love them! They were so easy to sew and sprouted very quickly. Instant garden.
I'm sure they will be great but won't know till spring
I planted all the seeds into a long plastic pot and they are all sprouting.
