A great dessert if you're tight on time - quick and easy to heat in the microwave. Lovely served with custard or cream. A bit too sweet in my opinion, but my daughter loves it! Good quality as usual from Mr Kipling

I decided to treat myself to a Kiplings syrup sponge. Sugary, stodgy, fatty, minuscule pudding. More the texture of a dumpling with unappetising syrup. The instructions didnt heat it up much - the accompanying icecream didnt melt?! At around 450 calories per sponge it was not worth it the price or the calories. I wish Id just put in the effort and made my own. Lesson learned

These syrup puddings are so small that I someone who isn't bothered about desserts needed both of them to say I had some! The sponge isn't very nice it seems to dissolve in the mouth rather than being able to chew it and the syrup goes thick very quickly. I much prefer another leading supermarket's own brand of these sponge puddings. Although I wouldn't buy them again I can appreciate that others would like them and that's why I've given them 3 stars.
