This board is really nice. It has all the features I want. My only problems are most likely BIOS related. If I use sleep instead of turning it off I get a BSOD when powering it back up.When I use the BIOS a large part of the screen goes black but I can still use everything. Neither of them are deal breaking but still a little disappointed.

Nothing but a great motherboard, I haven't had the time to fully test things out yet, but so far I'm loving it. BIOS is new an need to get used to it, where everything is, but everything is nicely laid out. Everything I threw at it worked fine from the get go, 9800x3D and 64GB 6400mhz kingston C32 kit of RAM, and no matter what setting I set in the BIOS it just works, no hanging so far... I also love the I/O of this board, some asks for 10G lan etc... but 5gb is more than I will use for the time being, WiFi 7 and the number of usb-c is so nice and welcome. Not the cheapest, but I definitely think is worth every penny. Recommended!!

Another great motherboard from MSI,I have three now currently in use in various systems two Z790 boards (Intel Based), being the Carbon Wi-Fi and the Tomahawk, and I have decided to check out the new AMD chips which people are raving about, so what better board to use than the MSI X870E Carbon Wi-Fi.First impressions, what have I been sent, feels like there is a brick in the box, honestly this is the heaviest motherboard I've ever had! and that's a good thing, The motherboard actually feels quality, it weighs a ton and looks stunning. When paying a hefty price for a motherboard its great that it feels like it.There are ample USB and ARGB connectors on the board, and the additional break out connectors provided in the box are a great bonus. One thing I have ... MoreAnother great motherboard from MSI,I have three now currently in use in various systems two Z790 boards (Intel Based), being the Carbon Wi-Fi and the Tomahawk, and I have decided to check out the new AMD chips which people are raving about, so what better board to use than the MSI X870E Carbon Wi-Fi.First impressions, what have I been sent, feels like there is a brick in the box, honestly this is the heaviest motherboard I've ever had! and that's a good thing, The motherboard actually feels quality, it weighs a ton and looks stunning. You do however get a leaflet which has the good to know stuff, i.e. the front panel connectors and RAM installation order.Yet to build the system fully, like others I am waiting on a Ryzen 9800X3D to pair up with this board.

I chose this motherboard because of its usability, quality, and durability.Efficient power supply, high-quality ensemble does its job.Several pcie 5.0 m2 memory slots a big plus.BIOS is easy and simple.I highly recommend!
The MSI Carbon X870E looks stylish whilst offering plenty of connectivity on the IO panel. Im going back to AMD after being with Intel for a long while and I’m due a upgrade (every 7-8 years) I’m really looking forward to building on this board just waiting for my 9800x3d to arrive.
I bought this board without double checking the specs and assumed it's the same board with same PCIE lane configuration as the X670E Carbon. Just a gotcha that a 4x PCIE5 to CPU lane are now used up by the new USB4.0s. Whereas with X670E Carbon, this 4x PCIE5 4x lanes is used by another M.2 drive slot. Depends what you want, this can be a deal breaker.Overall a stable board with a great BIOS UI overhaul. 6000MHz 2 stick 64GB of RAM runs stable at 30 36 36 76 timings. Do note the DDR5 ram overclockability is the combined factor of CPU, RAM and Mainboard. Not just the RAM itself.
Comes with all the features you will need, the amount of USB support is impressive, the loading systems for the m.2 drives is great much better than little screws. 2.5 and 5 gb lan ports which is a great feature to have an not on many boards. Would recommend this board
Great board. Recent purchase, but so far, so good. Nice features for easier GPU and M.2 installation. It could use labels on the board or a jumper adapter for the case controls (reset, power switch, etc.). I needed a stable workhorse, and this board does the job. (The Aorus X670 failed after 2 years, so we'll see how this one performs.)
Tons of usb, nvme, and all ports. Straightforward install and great thermal performance. Only problem with it was pretty spendy, definitely a buy if on sale.
