This product does not work. We assembled it perfectly and put in the best fuel and correct oil ratio but it does not respond when the accelerator is applied. The engine revs loud but nothing happens, nothing spins. Unbelievable.

All you need

I have just finished assembling it all and doing a few tests. The 3.1 mm cord is that tough I don't know how much I'll use all the brush cutter blades. It has a big strong engine so it is not light and I expect it will use a bit of fuel. The hedge trimmer is very sharp be carefull. The saw chain took a while to stretch and settle. Adjust it often until it settles. Turn the chain oiler to maximum. The online manual (print your own copy) doesn't say what type of grease to use on the grease nipples but a call to edisons should fix that. Not that it will need grease just yet. It is early days, but the Aussie Post fella that delivered mine recognised the box, he has had his for 2 years and is very happy with it.

Don't waste your money

When it's running it's great. I've only managed to run it for a few minutes because the pull string doesn't like to retract. It took an hour to get it started the first time .

Excellent value

Excellent value, I normally only buy major brands but could not see $2600 value when this is definitely a cheaper machine but certainly does the job well. Only issue I can see after 2 tanks of fuel is the thumb screws that join all the shafts, I keep forgetting to tighten so the come loose and fall to the ground. Extra large fuel tank so it lasts a long time. Slightly heavier than major brands but strap takes most of the weight. I pumped the fuel system up and it started first go, straight out of the box

Excellent value for money

Used the whipper snipper and chainsaw function on the weekend, and was impressed. The motor started easily, the whipper snipper ripped through a heavily overgrown kikuyu grassed retaining embankment. Using three extension poles and was able to prune the palm trees around my onsite caravan, couple of my neighbours where also impressed, and one not so as he had just bought another brand from his local big box store

Great kit for the price

Great kit. Motor is powerful and works well at most angles. Orange chainsaw guard that holds bar in place is flimsy and moves regularly allowing the bar to move and chain to loosen (needs redesign). Solid extension poles. Very little assembly required. Thanks.

Heavy, High Fuel Consumption

Way too heavy to lift even with belt to control any of the attachments, problems in detail i found as an engineer 1) Unit has to get to certain rev's for front attachment or drive to engage into gear, i guess its a safety feature but speed and gear load ratio is way too high, engine speeds (revolution) is way too high to any movement of front tool (brush cutter, chainsaw or others), for this reason fuel consumption is high 2)Unit/engine part is very heavy, even with lifting belt, its still way too heavy to control your work in front. Chain-saw belt attachment has many design and quality issues, no matter how you adjust chain tension, chain keeps dropping off track, oil lubricant doesn't flow to chain track, gets too hot due to no oil drip, very poor design oil drip system, dust from wood blocks oil drip hole, wrong place as chain pulls back dust and blocks hole. 3) Chain-saw bald is worn out in one cut -small tree branches, poor quality 4) Watch out for starter pulling handle and rope, back pressure/ engine compression pulls back holder and rope, injured by hand when it pulled back, be careful. 5) 3 main bolts/stud and threaded holes were cross threaded when assembled by this Chinese firm, lucky had my tools (tap/die) to clear thread and re-fit correctly, production QA failure. 6) Attachment rod- doesn't slide into position with interlock on side, internal gear rod would not align or turn, had to file down external rod so that it can slide in easily, turn into interlock on side, very hard to change other attachments - very poor design 7) Engine has good power/torque, not sure internal parts and how long will it last 8)Brush-cutter head (orange one) provided when in place is way too high above ground, you would have to turn whole machine on an angle to cut grass close to paving, cutting line sits too high off ground.

Outstanding value

This isn't the first MTM product I've purchased and definitely wont be the last! Why pay more for bigger brands when this unit will do all you want and more. Heaps of grunt, not the lightest brushcutter but solidly built. Performs better than a certain red product I had previously and cost one fifth the price! I can't comment on commercial use however I use these products on acreage every weekend in summer and they never miss a beat. Discover for yourself, youlle never pay for the 'big name' brands again. Do yourself a favour and don't just go for the lowest price, buy from a reputable company like Edisons. There service is great and if something does go wrong (hey it happens) just pick up the phone and speak with a real person...worth paying extra for

Very Happy customer

I would like to take the opportunity to thanks Edison's for their professional and outstanding service. I had a small issue with my chainsaw attachment I notified them and they responded straight away and we had the issue resolved within a couple of days with a replacement sent out to me as far as the complete package I am currently unable to fault it. Maybe the only thing it could be a little bit lighter but having a 62cc motor you would expect it to be slightly heavier then a domestic brushcutter/ whipper snipper I would totally recommend this package for the person with need for all the attachments. brush cutter with no guts

come with broken box all taped again- my be damage in transport inside the box machine to be put together, no single instruction or any guide how to operating or put this brush cutter to work, quality of parts poor and need some minor modification before assembling, after start work for around 15-20 min. and lose power, finally stop will restart again but will have power ad revs for moment, supplier will give you hip of excuses and demanding that you send machine back to them for inspection, not broken parts but all in same condition as deliver.
