Having an absolutely torrid time using Mac-Off's tubeless products. I recently discovered that the rim tape on my tubeless wheels needed replacing, so I purchased some Muc-Off tubeless rim tape, Muc-Off glue and sealant remover and a new set of Muc-Off tubeless valves (being reviewed here). Unfortunately however no matter how many times I re-taped and setup my tubeless wheels I cannot seem to get a seal using Muc-Off's products. Every time I inflate the tyre air slowly seeps through the valve into the rim (I can hear it escaping through the spoke nipples) and the tyre slowly loses all it's air over a period of several hours! The hole for the valve has been perfectly made (even using an awl) and the valve installed as per-specification. I have also tried using the different rubber grommets supplied with the valve, but to no avail — I cannot seemingly get a seal. This entire process has been very frustrating. I have spent close to eighty quid in total and many hours hard graft, only to have two flat tubeless wheels! Very great shame!! Having tried every trick in the book I can only conclude that either Muc-Off's valves or tubeless rim tape are of poor quality and do not always achieve a good seal.

Anodized long valve

Nice anodized finish. Gaskets can be tricky to work with. Take your time to get them set in the correct position. After initial setup was a great working valve. Long length works well for deep rims.

Looks great

Very straightforward to install. It comes with different rubber gaskets/rings to be used for different rim inners, but I didn't use any on mine (21mm inner width). Make sure you use the flat head screwdriver slot on the bottom of the valve once installed, to get that valve super tight onto the rim and prevent air leakage as much as possible. If you forget this, you can still tighten the collar using your hand or a small pliers, and in any case the sealant will eventually fill up any gaps left.The extra cap with built-in valve core remover is a nice touch, I ride with that on the back wheel all the time.

Overall I love them but they don't work with my DT Swiss rims ! So check your rim width.

The product look and feels great quality. On the wheels look really smart and matched the bike colour details well. Comes with a selection of seals. Not cheap but not crazy expensive. Addition of a valve core tool built into a spare cap also nice feature. However, does not work with my DT Swiss Rims 18mm inner width due to the diameter of the valve base. Impossible to get the tyre beads to seat, as they couldn't pass between valve and rim. Additionally the stem diameter must be a little smaller than other valves, as my normal track pump blows off the valve as it gets towards pressure, so I had to hold it on. Not an issue with others unless I don't fit it correctly. Overall I love them but they don't work with my DT Swiss rims

Reliable and seals super well

These are hands down the best valves. Aside from swappable rubber stops, the end of the valve inside the wheel has a crown that prevents sealant from backing up to the valve. Also comes as pairs and much cheaper at bikeinn.

Sleek design but leaked

Had these valves fitted when I had new tubeless compound added to the tyres after last compound failed. Valves have a nice finish and the aluminium cap helps prevent the usual issues with the threads pulling and the cap not tightening correctly. Unfortunately I had an issue where one tyre kept going flat despite no leaks being evident on the tyre itself. Eventually traced to the valve itself, thankfully had a spare presta insert and since changing valve has been absolutely fine. They hold pressures well and they complement the black rims. Have rated 3 stars for quality due to one valve leaking but otherwise no issues.

good valves, would love to see a v2

Good stems, though I do wish there was some better guidance provided as far as torque specs or how tight to put these things. Had a leak that was caused by not putting the valve on tight enough the first time.It also feels like there should be another set of rubber seals in there for rims with a deeper drop center that are found.I'd also like to see a piece of rubber or other sealant around the valve stem caps to help keep moisture out. As it is, they're just tooled aluminum. Quality feeling, but still plain.I'd love to see a revision 2 of this. But I'm still happy with the purchase!
