This does not clean very well. I have used it twice now, wasting drivetrain cleaner and ending up with a still-dirty chain. It jams almost constantly. It is less labor-intensive to use a toothbrush and scrub for 20 minutes. Maybe useful if you never want to take your chain off.

The design and execution of this chain cleaner is great. It's easy to use, feels pretty strong/solid and it does a great job. Seeing the black pool of grime at the bottom of the chain cleaner without it splashing back on the chain is a great feeling, and looks good too. Look at the pictures, see all the pink? It all comes out with little effort to clean (The button is the exception, its stuck in there understandably so) The included chain degreaser works pretty well, you will probably get around 5-10 uses out of it. After that, just clean out the bottle and just refill it with whatever chain degreaser that you like or happen to have. This is the quickest and deepest chain cleaner I've tried as seems to scrap on angles difficult to reach manually.But the tool itself gets dirty real quick and you need to tear down and clean it so many times before it's clean enough to do a proper finish job on your chain.Overall it's good if you have multiple bike to maintain often.

Great chain cleaner - with fatal flaw! You're supposed to put the cleaning fluid in thru a tiny hole at the top. They provide a tiny bottle of fluid - which can't be refilled. So in practice once you're used the tiny bottle, you buy the full size bottle of cleaning fluid and pour it into the bottom half of the machine until it's over the bottom part of the cleaning wheel. (They used to sell decent sized bottles of cleaning fluid that you could use to fill the top reservoir, but no longer).
Muc-off chain cleaner is easy to use and just as importantly, easy to clean/maintain. The reservoir (thumb-release) design seemed a bit gimmicky to me, but after actually using it and seeing it perform exactly as advertised, I'm quite impressed. It's certainly a better design (and price) than the Park Tool version which I've also used. The "bio" degreaser works well and my chains are clean, I'll take their word for it on the "bio" bit, based on the ingredients; still a bubble-gum/mineral spirit solvent-type smell, but hey, just about ANY liquid that's GOOD for your bike will have a "chemical" smell and that's fine with me. Used a handful of times, cleans up easily, and it seems to be holding up well - apparently replacement parts are available if needed.
I will start with the only negative. The handle makes the cleaner harder to keep under control. Using it by holding the top and bottom of the cleaner is much better.Other than that it’s great. Easy to use and the chain looks brand new after cleaning and lubing.
I think its an expensive gimmick but it works. It was simple to set up but was initially very frustrating to use. The clasp repeatedly came undone, resulting in the unit separating and falling from the chain, with the cleaning fluid leaking from the reservoir. It was difficult to feed the chain at times and the chain came off the sprocket several times. But if kept perfectly in line with the chain the unit worked as desired. I was pleased with the result and would recommend this machine.
Had a few of these over the years most have been complete rubbish and eventually fallen apart. This one has had a bit of an upgrade with removeable rubber brushes that can at least be attempted to be cleaned. Would be nice if the top unit (where you put the fluid) could be sealed so you could keep unused fluid in there between uses but thats a minor quibble. You do have to try and keep this level when using it too but you soon work that out. Otherwise its a good bit of kit which should last a while.
Meh, gets the chain clean like any other chain cleaner out there.Reservoir gimmick doesn’t work as well as it seems, the idea of having a “clean” and “dirty” reservoir is interesting, but it just seems like I’m using up a lot more chain cleaner than I should be.MAJOR FRUSTRATION: The clean fluids reservoir is very hard to rinse out after the fact, there are little screws that will probably strip very fast if you unscrew them with every rinse, aside from how finicky that is.The lack of a retaining hook like on Pedro’s pig makes rotating the chain and holding the cleaner a bit harder to wield with just two hands.
Muc-off products are usually excellent. So I bought a Dirty Chain Machine. Very overpriced chain cleaner - badly made - difficult to use. Save yourself some money and buy a cheaper one - which will probably do a better job. I have used many chain cleaners over 50 years of cycling - this was the most shoddy I have tried to use. Rubbish.
