Work well as it is advertised. Can upscale VCDs and low resolution DVDs to better resolution levels. Playing DVDs of all regions is easy and very convenient. This LASER BLU-BD4000 is big improvement over the previous model LASER BLU-BD3000 in respect of very good picture quality and much stronger remote control signals, with good RESUME playback memory. Very convenient to operate, and what else can you ask for.

The unit works well for Australian disks. I purchased it as it is advertised as multi-region. If you have purchased a disk overseas blue rays such as PBS from the UK, it is ifficult to configure for the region. One needs to visit the Laser website. It is a hassle but works.

Disappointing

This unit claims a lot but doesn't deliver. Around 85% of my MP4 & AVI files won't play. The files themselves don't appear in alphabetical order so it's a nightmare to find the file you want, and the unit doesn't provide a way to re-sort them. The remote's buttons are too small and not very sensitive, I have to press them 2 or 3 times to get the function to activate. Overall I'm quite disappointed with this purchase.

Easy to use!

I bought a more expensive player that didnt work in the end. This was my replacement and it plugged in and worked within two minutes. Super easy to use and quick to load up. Highly recommended for those watching DVDs regularly or irregularly. Good price point.

Great performer works great

We have a lot of DVDs, movies and series that are still not available on any streaming platform. We had a Laser DVD multi region DVD player for this purpose but it was making lots on noise so we replaced that old unit with this Laser Blu-ray player.The old DVD player the picture was grainy as that players up scale was not for a 4K TV, but wow the difference this Blu-ray player does with the upscaling that this unit does makes the DVDs look like they are in HD.Simple to use would recommend to anybody that would like to keep their old DVDs and still enjoy watching them on a current technology TV.

Laser Dvd

The dvd player part deserves 5 stars (so far). It works as described. Unfortunately the remote lost a couple of stars as it is very difficult to use. You have to push buttons extremely hard and several times to get the function to work. I think I will return to store to check it out. Otherwise, impressed with warranty. I hope it's not required. Last LG dvd only lasted 13 months.

Low price all regions dvd and all regions blu ray

I bought it to for the all regions blu-ray capability. Its a little bit more manual to do than I expected. I wish they made it a menu option. Instead follow these steps to change the region code :1. Close disc tray without a disc2. Press setup on the remote3. Key in '8520'4. Select the corresponding region on your disc.There's no all regions bluray code so yo have to change it manually for each disc.The remote is not sensitive but that may be the supplied batteries...

Multi region Blu-ray and DVD player

It seems surprising that there are so few examples of multi region players out there, Laser has been the staunch upholder for quite some time. I have owned 3 in total (all still working) of which this incarnation seems to be the fanciest. It is quiet during operation (the older ones can buzz a little) easy to set up and has a very small footprint. Picture quality is fine (as good as anything else I've seen) but the clincher of course is the fact that its multi region. I own quite a few American blu-rays and dvds (ones that are impossible to get here) and this machine allows me to watch without compromise, at my leisure.Highly recommended.

OK product. I guess!

I was under the impression that Blu-ray was it and a bit. That playing Blu-ray DVDs on my new Laser player would be rather exceptional. Well, the player itself worked well. The remote worked well and overall, I am happy with the purchase. Nevertheless, the Blu-ray element wasn't exceptional. The images etc were much the same as what you got with a non-Blue-ray DVD. So, a lot of hoo har about Blu-ray.

So reliable

With auto select multi region DVDs ,plus being able to select the blu ray region you want is a great advantage. These machines are so reliable , plus a three year warranty. I only wish the control was larger, its not big finger friendly.
