After years of putting shiny strips, balloons and various raptor look alikes I sprayed SCAT on my fruit trees and actually got 80-90 % fruit from them. Years of being beaten by parrots, honeyeaters and possums are now in the past I hope.The only downside is the fruit must be washed thoroughly which i do not mind. Wooo Hooo.

I had a lot of trouble getting the spray attachment to work. There was a lot of squeezing the trigger and not much happening. Once it got going it was good. The stuff seems to work. The presence of mouse droppings in the garage has diminished five-fold, the next door neighbour's cats are staying away and the dogs have stopped pooing on my front verge. I haven't tried it with birds - they don't seem to be any trouble. One other advantage of Scat is that it seems to be odourless to humans.
This product really works. The possums do not eat my roses unless I forget to re-apply after rain. The dry powder is a bit messy to handle and hot water is needed to dissolve it. Buy the ready made solution if you don’t want the hassle of the powder.
I bought this about a month ago. Applied it twice to my lawn and has not made any difference. Time of the year has not helped due to rain a few days after applying. Also noticed powder is hard to mix.
Don't waste your money. The trigger has a decent throw and allowed me to directly spray the offending possum, which did get the possum to move on. However the possum did stop to lick up some of the "deterrent" and was back shortly after I had moved away from the location. Ammonia? In homeopathic levels. Smells like water and the possum seemed to be perfectly happy to consume it. Stay away.
Bought two packs to cover my kikuyu grass in an attempt to prevent birds eating the runners. This product did absolutely nothing, birds were back within 30 minutes having a delicious meal.
After buying electronic animal scarers to keep away wallabies, cats and potoroos that didn’t work purchased scat sprayed all around the fences, gates and lawn and it works perfectly. The next door cats smell the top of the fence and don’t come over anymore! No wallabies or any other critters coming and eating the grass or digging for roots!
