Let me say that the other good reviews are REAL reviews. This mat works great for my daughter who’s almost two and loves bath time. I have a hard time getting her out. I did not experience what other reviews say about it getting molding or doesn’t suction. The mat has auctions all around the edges and a few in the center which holds great. I always place the mat down BEFORE turning on the water. When it comes to mold, just make sure you remove it from the tub floor and hang to dry over your curtain rod after each use. This will help not get mold, that simple. Like any bath mat if you don’t air dry thoroughly mold will grow. This is no exception. I also scrub/wash the mat at least once a week or if I do forget to hang up and dry. And I have experienced ZERO mold.

Works well for me. Looks better than options on Amazon. Remember to run a little water then press down to suction, as it does not suction well dry. When pressing down suction cups wet, it sticks very well. May leave some red marks in baby’s bum but that’s normal. I remove from the tub after every use, so it can fully dry and I have not had any issues with mold/mildew - and it’s been a good 2 years now. I don’t think most of these reviews are fair, I’ve used in a few different tubs and it’s worked in all of them.

Shocked at the negative reviews and feel compelled to write a review because I've loved it. I've owned this for five years and used for three straight without any issues. We have a smooth surface tub and it has allowed me to use with my second son beginning at 7 months old without any issues. I used with my first around 9 months bc I hadn't found it before that. Just pull it up when you regularly clean your tub. I do not pull it up nightly or anything. No mold, no issues.

It’s thick, but that’s the only thing this bath mat has going for it. The smell is horrid, and somehow the suctioning is even worse. I will be returning this tomorrow and ordering a better one off of amazon. It’s safer for my son to take a bath without anything in there than to use this mat. This one slipped as soon as my son stepped on it. Honestly, this mat should be recalled due to the risks of using it.
This bath mat gets my approval, so make sure to get one for your tub! I bought it a few years ago, and initially, it used to slide around, which was quite unsafe. Despite trying other bath mats, none felt as comfortable as this one. So, I decided to give it another shot, and I can confirm that it has significantly improved. The suction grips well to the tub, and there's no more sliding. I'm delighted to repurchase and highly recommend this product!
Great cushioned mat! We bathe our baby in his little tub inside our shower, so I Needed a good mat to help cushion my feet & knees while bathing him. This one is great because of its large size, good drainage holes, and adequate level of cushioning. I ended up cutting two bigger holes on one end so I can hang it up on hooks between bath time. It works great for our family!
I am so bummed. Taking this out of box, the smell is very, very overwhelming! It literally makes me ill. gives me a headache. I can't imagine bathing my Littles on this. I rinsed it and am hanging it outdoors to air out, in hopes it goes away. If smell persists I will return it. I am reading reviews and I am confused as to some say there is no odor when the odor in mine is VERY STRONG!! Maybe I got a bad batch??? The design is great and it stuck well on my bathtub so I am really dissapointed with the horrible petroleum odor. 2 Stars for safety as I can't imagine it being good for anyone to inhale this smell.
I feel like from the reviews this should be called a shower mat. We have not tried it in a tub but I bought it for our stand alone shower because my boys love using the shower but they also like to play toys. I didn’t want them slipping and they like to sit on the floor. This is perfect and soft and padded. It’s easy to pick up and clean and doesn’t slide around while they’re in the shower. I have never smelled any odor on it. We have had it for a year now and it still works great.
Mildew that either is falling off or won’t scrub away with brush and cleaner. Suction cups don’t be suctioning...only some few and far between actually stick to tub but mot consistant enough to keep the mat adhering tub. Moves forward a little with each big movement & with a 2 year old, its only big movements in tbe tub. This causes the drain to become covered and you have to pull it up and “readhere” it to the floor of tub.
There is almost zero suction with this mat. There are small suction cups around the edges and then TWO 1 inch suction cups in the middle of the mat and that's it. So when you step on it it literally slides straight up under your feet because the grey material is extremely soft and stretchy, not firm rubber like your typical bath mat. It would feel great under a baby's butt in the bath but the second they stand up it's over. I nearly fell backwards the very first time I stepped on it. After 3 days my husband almost fell as well, so we returned it. Do not buy, serious fall hazard.
