Mute Snoring Device Trial Pack

Information Mute gently stents and dilates the nasal airways allowing snorers to breathe more easily through their nose and keep their mouth closed during sleep. In turn, this reduces the vibrations in the airways that can cause disruptive snoring. By improving breathing through the nose, Mute can also reduce snoring that is caused by night-time nasal congestion or obstructions such as a deviated septum. In trials, 75% of couples reported a reduction in the frequency and volume of snoring and found it more effective than other products. This trial pack has small, medium and large devices to try. How to Use Wash your hands, hold the device by the bridge with the curved arms facing towards you and the ribbed paddles facing up and away from you. Bring the device up to your nose and place the curved arms in first to make contact with the inside floor of your nose. Gently guide the device backwards into your nose to a point that it is comfortable. You may need to adjust your nostrils over and around the ridged paddles to ensure it’s fully inserted. Warnings Always read the label, use only as directed.

Have proved successful, don't completely eradicate snoring but do reduce the volume massively so my other half can sleep well. Have helped improve the flow of air when breathing so I haven't been woken up as much with blockages. The clip part that attaches to the nose can be slightly uncomfortable at first but after a while isn't noticeable. Adjusting the bits inside slightly tricky but not too hard. A very welcome piece of kit, shame the charge for something that is basically plastic is so high.

I, as described by my fiance, snore like a rhino with a sinus infection. That sounds mean but he recorded my snoring and OMG, I don't know how this guy gets any sleep. I've had chronic severe sinus problems since I was a little kid and I had no idea how extreme my snoring is. They didn't even tell me it was this bad when I had sleep studies. We got these Mute nasal dialator in at work so I wanted to give them a try hoping they would work better than the Extra Strength Breathe Right Strips. THE GOOD: I do like that Mute orders the sizing kit with the small, medium, and large dialators with very clear instructions. You get up to 10 uses out of each dialator which is nice since the strips are one use only and I go through a ton of them. One interesting thing is that the company that produces Mute is that they make similar nasal dialators for exercise and fitness to make breathing easier when working out or participating in athletic events. PERSONAL EXPERIENCE: At first I tried the medium size in the sizing kit but it was too big and fell out, then I tried the small and it fell out. For the small amount of time it was securely placed in my nose it did stop my horrific snoring. THE BAD: No matter how I adjusted them in both sizes, I had no pain or discomfort. I was really excited to try these out but I'm really disappointed. I'm not sure if my nose is shaped weird and that's why they're falling out or if it's because of the way I breathe. CONCLUSION: Since I ended up losing the small and medium ones from the pack and the large was far to big for me, I'm going back to the strips until I find a better way to conquer this snoring problem.

I got the trial pack of small, medium and large and it's actually very effective. My boyfriend and I both tried this, as we both have snoring issues at night. I wasn't sure what to expect, as I've tried Breathe Right strips with no huge help. But this is actually something that works! I use the small size, he uses the medium. The soft, pliable and adjustable plastic may seem a little odd, daunting at first, but once you get it in place and just go with it, the airflow in your nose is significantly increased. It's not painful, but it's not completely unnoticeable, either. You just have to experience it to understand - it may not be for everyone. You have to find your right size and adjust. Keep it clean, and don't share - hygiene is important. I'm already waking up ... MoreI got the trial pack of small, medium and large and it's actually very effective. And I don't keep my boyfriend awake with my snoring anymore. Will keep using, for sure. Highly recommend!

A little bit invasive

The Tester pack with three sizes to trial is wonderful, especially if you have a fair honk like I do and are worried they won't fit, they do. Surprisingly I only needed the middle size unit and the fact you can adjust the item to fit makes it all the more effective. The item definitely provides greater air flow and contributes to reducing the snoring. On the second day I awoke it was evident that it had fallen out. No big deal but I suspect that will happen from time to time. It is somewhat uncomfortable but not to the extent it hinders your sleep to any extent at all. The reason for the low score was that I also trailed the adhesive nose strips which produces the very same result without having to stick something inside your nose. The strip sticks across your nose and also provides greater air flow and also reduces the snoring. Reducing being the key word. Neither item stopped my snoring completely. The only down side with the strips is that you want to take them off during a shower. I was in a semi state of shock when it would not budge at all and i was forced to read the instructions to find that warm/hot water would facilitate removal. So there you have it. Both work, one goes on top, one goes inside.

Clear airways for a good night's sleep
12 December 2019

I have tried lots of different solutions to keep the nostrils open, especially while sleeping. There's the self adhesive strips that attach to the outside of the nose - they work well, but not good for regular use as the nasal skin is very delicate. Then there are a variety of shapes of plastic inserts ranging from the flimsy to the heavy duty. I find the RhinoMed product is the right balance between too flimsy and too uncomfortable. I like that they are adjustable to ensure the right level of comfort. I have to say that I do use them many more times than the recommended 10 times per unit. My only criticism of the product is that they are a bit pricey. They come in a very smart box, which could perhaps be downgraded to cut costs and lower the retail price.

Didn't work

These had the best reviews of any snoring aid I've seen so I bought them with full confidence and they didn't work even tho adjusted correctly. I was so determined I used this, put a snore strip on my nose, used the snore spray and I put on one of those magnetic snore rings all at once. Which is each product I've tried each time up till buying this today. So 4 things and my snoring was just as bad as ever. Each night I try and sleep with my new wife and each night she has to send me to the spare room and it's so frustrating. She gets videos to show me how bad I am each time. I know I adjusted them right. I followed guide videos, and my breathing felt so clear and easy as it told me it should. They was pushed in enough and there was a lot of resistance like they said ... MoreThese had the best reviews of any snoring aid I've seen so I bought them with full confidence and they didn't work even tho adjusted correctly. My biggest problem at night is breathing through my nose. You may have varied success with these for snoring, but if you struggle to breathe at night, I think youll be pleased. I snore but not as much as other men (went away with the guys on a road trip and Im one of the quieter sleepers). With the mute, I still snore on my back, but less on my sides, and I can sleep with my mouth closed for the first time in forever! Definitely get the trial pack first, as I was surprised at which one fit best. The small was too tight on my septum. I might be adjusting to them now though as Im trying the large and its not too uncomfortable. The individual ratchet-adjustable paddles make for perfect fine tuning. Fitting the mute is slightly tricky at first - read and understand the diagram so you dont put it in backwards. It only takes a couple of goes and you dont have to think about it. The mute is comfortable, but I did get some sensitive spots after a few nights use, so I left it out for a night and it helped. The soft silicone is as soft as anything could be that doesnt belong up your nose! Take care pulling the mute out in the morning, as occasionally it gets stuck on the shape of your nose, unless youre trying to play Arnold Schwarzenegger in Total Recall. I used the mediumfor a couple of weeks but lost it one night. It was holding up well, but nearing the end of its life. I give it a light rinse each morning and keep it dry. It does buckle a little but not enough to stop it working, for the two weeks I used it. TL;DR good fit, good quality, excellent adjustability, may not help with snoring depending on the cause.

It works for me, use it most of the time.
17 July 2022

I have been using this for over 4 years now. This is my second pack. Even though it works and helps me breathe better. I think it's expensive, it could be cheaper. I have blocked nose so I use this to dilate rather than nasal sprays. I Don't have a big snoring issue so not sure if it helps with that but definitely helps me breathe better.

Perfect fit
20 September 2022

I took a punt on needing the larger size rather than starting with the trial pack, which probably would have been a good idea. It took me a few nights to get it right, adjusting the paddles, but luckily for me large was the right size and the device fits perfectly and is working a treat. I have to say I have also felt as if I am getting a better nights sleep, not just my wife who is over the moon I am using it!

Everyone is different of course, but for me these made absolutely no difference at all. Tried all the sizes but large was the best fit. A little uncomfortable at first but can't have been that bad as I fell asleep! My wife however still could not due to my snoring. Zero difference I'm afraid!
