Very finely chopped, something like the consistency of crushed ice, and a great flavour, none of the metallic bitterness you sometimes get with cheaper brands. This is only a small tin, and I suppose everyone will have to decide for themselves if you want to spend this much on tinned tomatoes. But if you want good ones, they are certainly good.
I buy Mutti tomatos all the time. They are a very high quality tinned tomato. There are no under ripe hard bits like other brands. Well worth the money. I have never had the chopped tomatos and these were lovely. Like a more substantial passata. I would recommend.
Nothing special about these. Could not taste any difference from other tinned tomatoes, not in a stew anyway. Personally I prefer a bigger size tin. But if you are looking for a smaller size tin I suppose this is a good choice! It was nothing wrong with the taste!
Just the right size and texture. Authentic. Their pizza sauce is lovely too (bought from Ocado too).
I had a couple of these as a substitute a while ago . I have recently used them in a bolognaise sauce with mince, celery and grated carrots etc and it was so good. I would definitely buy again although they were expensive but probably the larger tin. These and Epicure brand knock a lot of others out of the water regarding quality.
sent these to review. Handy size tin. These are very finely chopped as it says on the tin. Almost passata but with seeds. Personally prefer more coarsely chopped tomatoes
Compared to own brand and branded chopped tomatoes these Mutti tomatoes were more finely chopped more like passata. The taste was quite bland and not as flavoursome but I used them as a base for a tomato sauce for fish with added herbs and pur?e. Useful to keep a tin in the store cupboard especially when cooking for one or two. I would buy again if the price compared with similar products.
