These waterbottles are very durable, hold the perfect amount of water that you can carry without it being too big or heavy, and have a perfect "handle" from the lid to carry it around easily. I highly recommend this brand and this specific water bottle. It worked perfectly when I was a student, and works perfectly now when I go to the gym and when I work as a nurse.

I’ve had a few Nalgenes over the years and the narrow mouth version is the best. The wide mouth can be difficult to drink from without dumping a ton of water all over yourself, especially if you’re trying to take a quick sip. I’m a teacher and I always have my Nalgene full! I also love that the cap is connected and I use the ring to carry it around. Although it isn’t insulating, it keeps the water fresh and doesn’t spill! 10/10 recommend. The measurement lines on the side helps me to keep track of how much water im drinking throughout the day, also

Amethyst colorway overheated during protective seal process, 2x damaged bottles in this color (December 31 '21)

This review is specifically for the Amethyst color bottle. Upon receiving when I went to peel off the protective shrink wrapping, it peeled off only in certain places and had bonded to the plastic the bottle is made of. I requested a replacement through the target app which was very simple and the bottle arrived quickly, but when I went to peel off the protective shrink wrap like I had before it began to do the same thing again. This time, I carefully slipped a paring/fruit knife under the perforated part of the shrink seal and gently tore the perforations so that I could get the seal off mostly in tact. It did stick in certain areas again and I had to be very careful. I think that the recent batch of these Amethyst bottles were overheated during the shrink band ... MoreThis review is specifically for the Amethyst color bottle. An Imperial Quart Of Cold Water

Actually I was going to return this. I took it from the packaging to look at it. Hey....I like this thing! It's big and tough. I like the way it looks.It holds 39 ounces, an imperial quart. It's Tritan so it won't break. It is on the heavy side at six ounces. Captive lid too. No leaks ...No you can't boil water in it so don't try!If you need to get cold water from c-stores or fast-foods you need one these. It's obviously NOT one of THEIR bottles. Just ask if you can fill it.If weight is not a factor, this hefty robust bottle will last for years!Good stuff worth the money.

Better than the Wide Mouth

Now I had been hesitant to get a narrow mouth nalgene for YEARS because I couldn’t think of how there could possibly be an improvement on the wide mouth. Then my partner got one and we were driving and I took a sip from it and my whole world changed. I’m pretty clumsy and can’t usually sip from my wide mouth when walking or in a moving car which can be a bit of a problem. NO MORE. The narrow mouth has solved that issue completely and I can’t believe I didn’t go for it before.The one downside is that ice cubes don’t quite fit and if you want to scoop a drink powder or something into the bottle it can be a bit tricky. Fortunately I don’t particularly care for cold water and I do have a wide mouth still for non water beverages. Wrong.*** Even if you bend a wire bottlebrush to reach all insides, there’s not enough pressure for scrub power. Actually the brush just scratches up the inside of the bottle. I’m taking it back to get the widemouth 32oz. I have a widemouth 48oz and never had this problem. My hand is actually small enough to squeeze inside after I push the soapy sponge in and I can wash it like a regular cup. Satisfactory. Even if your hand is not, you can actually access the inside of the bottle. Final note - pick a light colored cap, so you can actually see how clean it is instead of “should be fine.” Especially if you may put something other than water _ @ NALGENE- please drop some simpler color palettes. Monochrome or two-toned. The current options are doing too much and not cute

Gets the job done! Narrow mouth a bit annoying though

Bottle works. Holds liquids like it’s supposed to. Took it on a camping trip and it withstood some banging around. One thing I really dislike about this bottle though is the narrow mouth. Should’ve known better. It’s really hard to get a bottle scrubber in and clean the insides. Gonna opt for the wide mouth next time

Good quality, has pros and cons

I purchased this small mouth bottle because I was tired of having drink spill down my face and throat when hiking- I had a large mouth bottle before. When working hard hunting, hiking, and going for a quick swig, I would frequently get a splash of overflow with the wide mouth.This bottle would be great for summer, but I foremost used it in a late season hunt and it didn’t take long for the small mouth opening to freeze up, whereas the larger opening of the old bottle would take much longer. When using the bottle at home for cool drinks, it took extra effort to hand feed in individual pieces of ice, where my older large mouth bottle could be placed directly under the ice maker dispenser.Plus and minuses.

Made from recycled plastic: great. Wrapped in extra plastic: not great

I bought this replacement wide mouthed Nalgene bottle because I left mine somewhere on a hike the other day. I've always found these bottles great. This was only the third one I have ever purchased. And...it's the only one wrapped on the outside in a further layer of unnecessary plastic film! What??? How good is this for the environment? One more sheet of plastic that hopefully will go in the right recycling bin at the waste recycling depot. Bad move, maker of Nalgene bottle. This is the only reason I give it 3 stars instead of 5. Great bottles otherwise.

Nalgene - Sustain 1L Wide Mouth Water Bottle Orange

Love this water bottle. It's a great colour, safe Tritan plastic, does NOT leak, and can even withstand heat so it can be used as a hot water bottle when camping. The wide mouth takes some getting used to and is easy to spill when drinking, but it makes this a very easy bottle to clean. I bought this as a replacement for the same bottle I recently lost and was very happy to find this (somewhat rare colour) at a reasonable price here. Fast delivery, no complaints. Thanks!
