The Nanlite Forza 300 LED Light has a power of 300W and is very bright at 43,060 lux at 1 m when mounted on the silver reflector. Its low weight of 2.3 kg and its compact size make this lamp very manageable and easy to operate when on set or in the studio. With a colour temperature of 5600K at a TLCI of 95 and a CRI of 98, the Forza 300 has a very high accuracy and a perfectly stable daylight colour. Four light effects, such as Storm, Lightning, TV and Flickering Lamp allow you to create various effects to achieve the right atmosphere for your movie. The silent fan produced maximum 16dB and keeps the lamp cool, so it can burn at full capacity for a very long time. The lamp can easily be operated with the panel on the backside. The clear LCD display shows the required information. It is possible to continuously dim the lamp from 0 to 100%. The carbon fibre body gives the lamp a sporty and luxurious look. The U-shaped holder can be attached to any lamp tripod and can easily be adjusted to the desired position. When connecting to the AC adapter, it is possible to use V mount batteries. It is possible to connect two V mount 14.8 V batteries. With the optional Nanlite W2 WiFi device, you can remotely operate the Forza 300 using your iOS or Android device.

Forza 300: This light has excellent punch and provides accurate color fidelity. High quality construction that has a sturdy feel and is lightweight as well. I shoot videos both in studio and on-location and must have reliable equipment for my type of work, Forza 300 has exceeded my requirements! I considered the Godox VL300, and Aputure 300D II and decided to get the Nanlite Forza 300 due to superior color quality, brighter output, optional 16ft power lead, much better Fresnel design. Additionally Forza 300 can run on one 14v battery at half power or can use two 14v batteries up to full power! The Forza 300 is an unbeatable value for quality, versatility, price and power output...

At work we have a shelf with one of these and an Apurture 300D MKii right next to it. When I need to pick what to use this comes off the shelf almost every time. Compared to the Apurture, it is brighter and lighter weight which are the two biggest factors for me. It's just so easy and quick to set up and outputs a great amount of light for its size. I also had the Forza 500 version for personal use which is an even better fixture. Surprisingly, this 300 came in at only a half stop dimmer than the 500. Very impressive. This light is also a true 5600-5700K which matches HMIs much better than the approx 5200K of the Apurture series. My only critiques are 1) it should really come with a longer head lead cable. The one it comes with is too short for any use where it ... MoreAt work we have a shelf with one of these and an Apurture 300D MKii right next to it. The one it comes with is too short for any use where it needs to go high up on a stand or boom out on a menace arm. Nanlite does sell a 5 meter head lead, but that should really come with it. 2) The ballast and power converter, while a cool design, is inferior to the apurture's. The Apurture lightning clamp that comes with all of their new lights simply can't be beat at the moment. This has a unique and cool collar that can clamp around certain stands and allow you to hang the ballast on it, but the collar is not big enough to go around combo stands nor does it properly secure it. I find it makes me a bit nervous when simply hanging the ballast on the collar.Regardless, I would say this light is superior to the Apurture 300D MKii. It is cheaper as well which is always a plus. If you're looking at the Apurture I'd say spend a little time with this and you'll never look back.

I use the Forza 300 for a lot of different uses inside and outside. From a key and fill light for interviews and narrative to an edge light. It has enough punch in some occasions to shoot through a window as motivated sun light or moon light. It's really amazing that this day in age LEDs have gotten so powerful and this light is very bright for just about anything I do and it can run on a pair of batteries. The menu is easy to use and now the app has been released I can use my phone to control the light along with my other Nanlite fixtures. Just an FYI, you will need their transmitter to use the new app as the Forza 300 doesn't have Bluetooth. The app is amazing and the transmitter WS-TB-1 is very small and under ninety dollars, I'm going to order that next. 10 ... MoreI use the Forza 300 for a lot of different uses inside and outside. I love Nanlite's Pavotubes, especially the new ones, and their MixPanel and MixPads are wonderful for ease of rigging with a soft quality but I find myself continuing to stock up on Forza, all the way from the 60 to the 500 (can't wait for the 1200). Having just purchased another Forza 300, and Forza 300B I wanted to point out what absolute legends they are.Definitely check out the new Nanlite USA website for improved color and photometrics info. I checked their measurements and they seems right on.With the included reflector, at a distance of 3 m/ 9.84 feet with an ISO of 800 at 1/48th of a second: the Forza 300B produces f11 at 5600K and f11 at 3200K. The Forza 300 is brighter still at f16 . Both are bright enough to play directly as sunlight coming in a window , create backlight outside on an overcast day, and more than enough output to punch through diffusion, or bounce through a book light. The head only weighs around 5 pounds making it super easy to rig, and if you end up close enough for fan noise to be an issue you can switch the fan off and probably still have enough output for the scene. They are three stops brighter than an ARRI 750 open face, and a third of a stop brighter than an ARRI 2K open face and at a fraction of the wattage and heat. Compared to the equivalent Aputure 300W unit the Forza 300B is one stop brighter, has better color accuracy and is cheaper. The ballast is a huge advantage as it is separate from the head so its weight may be placed on the included hanger to keep it off the ground or can be set flat on the floor with the controls still in easy view. A lot of thought seems to have gone into upgrading the user interface so it can recall frequently used settings quickly. With the AC adapter removed and two V-Mount batteries in place it will run at full output for an hour, and considerably longer than that when dimmed down.As for whether to buy a Forza 300 or Forza 300B: if you're doing narrative or beauty you're going to want the bi-color Forza 300B for its ability to produce 2700K to 6500K balance. If you do a lot of event or corporate where you're working daylight balanced most of the time anyway you can save money and go with the brighter, daylight only Forza 300. A piece of CTO gel will convert that to tungsten and match the brightness of the Forza 300B anyway.
The fan is a bit loud. Sound guy has complained on a few shoots. Depends how far u got it. I’ve generally had it about a meter hand a half to 2 and a half meters from talent on those occasions. You can turn the fan off, though supposedly you lose a stop of light. Haven't tested yet.Excellent output otherwise. I’ve compared with other COB LED lights and its the strongest I've seen yet, especially with the reflector. I’ll share some of my results here. With the included reflector on the light metered at 2 meters (6.6ft) at ISO 800, shutter 180°, and 30 fps, i got f16 6/10 for 903 fc or 9700 lux. That’s 1 1/3 stops brighter than my Astra 6x, 2 stops brighter than the godox 150w, 2 1/2 stops brighter than the Aputure 120DMKII, and 3 stops brighter than the godox 60w. ... MoreThe fan is a bit loud. That's one downside. Also the power unit says it requires higher volt batteries than nanlite says.
Will not waste your time. Cons: 1. FAN IS TO NOISY. Several audio guys have complained. 2. The RC 1 remote will only dim or brighten the light but will not turn on or off. You have to buy the $300Nanlite CN-W2 WI-Fi Adapter (which is garbage see YouTube videos) to be able to turn off or on for a brake...... 3. Nanlite says with FAN OFF it will give you 50% of the light power NOT THRU only 25% when fan is on off in settings. 4. Customer service horrible even though it's in USA. They also removing all negative comments from every YouTube video not allowing others to see all cons of the light. 5.TLC in reality is 91 not 98 like nanlite stated.Pros. 1. It is brighter than my Aputure 300d mk2 by 30% only with reflector on otherwise they are almost the same. 2. More ... MoreWill not waste your time. Cons: 1. FAN IS TO NOISY. I was an Aputure customer. So needless to say I was dubious. But a friend of mine had one of the Forzas on a shoot and seeing it in use and hands-on, I was impressed. I ordered this before the craziness happened with the health scare, and now I am glad I have it. For my vlogging setup with the big soft box and grid, its my main light (like Caleb Pike - love him). I use a V-flat as a bounce on the other side. Perfection. What I like better is the control box and mounting of accessories. It just feels better to my hands. It’s personal The yoke is solid, and the right-angle connection for mounting at 90º is also really cool. The color of this light (daylight) is clean and great for my skin. This light is excellent and convenient. When powering it on, if last power output percent was 100% when turned off, then it goes softly from 0 to 100%. Power supply is updated and there almost no audible fan noise from the Power supply like first model. Color rendition is great! Build from great material quality, feel really sturdy. Really like the size of this light! Not big, not small, just the perfect size. Power supply unit looks big but actually when handling it anyone will soon realize that is not something to care about. It is a powerful light! Was thinking of buying an Aputure C300d Mark II, but then give the opportunity on this one after seen reviews. Highly recommended!
I bought the Nanlite Forza 300 LED to use with a HXR NX100 camcorder on unique location. The location is a wedding venue under roof looking out off the top of a mountain with a bright sky for a backdrop and mountain peaks low in the scene. I needed a powerful lamp to shoot against the bright back drop and this lamp has tested successfully in this scenario. For better balance I plan on adding another one of these powerful lamps. I use Lavaliere mics but I don't notice the fans being auditable with either mic or internal mic with this lamp placed five feet away. I attach the Aputure Lantern on the Bowens mount and this creates a wonderful spread of wrap around light and capable of covering large square footage area. I attach the Aputure Lantern on the Bowens mount and this creates a wonderful spread of wrap around light and capable of covering large square footage area. Since I have several venues requiring this light setup I appreciate the limited setup and breakdown time using V-mount batteries or AC power. The fact that the power unit can hang from the stand with included stand clamp helps to stabilize the stand and makes it more secure for multiple riggings. With the lamp head itself weighing only about 5 pounds it is ideal for boom mount applications even with a modifier attached. I also do still photography on location usually with multiple flash units. The Forza 300 offers me the option of using continuous lighting and multiple techniques. This LED lamp is going to be a game changer in any videographer or photographer's arsenal with power to spare, AC/DC on location options (dual battery pack and charger not included), Bowens mount for a variety of modifiers, solidly built, engineered and designed for fast and easy operations. Since it is LED it is cool and energy efficient with a 1.75 inch COB. I can't say enough about the versatility and power of the Nanlite Forza 300. Check available videos and comparisons against competitors and judge for yourself.
I was skeptical about purchasing from a newly branded company. never a fan of a popular competitors gimmicks and their salesman wacky personality so I gave nanlite a try.
