The National Geographic 70mm refractor telescope is a classic and can be used for either astronomy or terrestrial observations (e.g. of wild animals). The 900 mm long focal length gives a sharp and brilliant picture. The telescope features the new MPM mount, which is versatile and easy to use. It can be used in azimuthal mode (for terrestrial observations) or in equatorial mode (for astronomical use). Despite its versatility, the MPM mount is extremely flexible, compact and lightweight for easy handling.

Directions were not useful But just looking at the picture you can figure out what goes where. Great scope for the price. Very easy to operate.

Bought this with pretty low expectations, considering how affordable it is. Thought we’d see details of the moon, at best. Good telescope for kids to be happy with. Well, not only can we see the moon in full detail, we were able to easily see Jupiter, 4 of its moons and Saturn and its rings in one shot during the “Great Conjunction”. Kids were thrilled, as was I. Blew away my expectations!
