The Dino Fossil Dig kit comes with everything you need to uncover the T. Rex replica tooth. This gave my grandkids over an hour of entertainment. The tooth is approximately 3 inches long and quite honestly it is an amazing replica. The box included a genuine piece of dinosaur dung. This is not a replica, but a true artifact which is pretty cool. The booklet includes instructions and factual information about dinosaurs. This is a one time use kit but I highly recommend it.

My 10 year old daughter loved doing this kit! She was very excited to find the fossil tooth. It's not a super messy item, but definitely best if a child can do it outdoors. It's a very chalky item, easy cleanup if done inside. My daughter even discovered she can use big pieces she broke off as chalk.

This is a fun way for kids to learn about fossils and dinosaurs and our grand-daughter loves the other National Geographic kits she has used for gems and dinosaur bones. Her favorite part was that it included REAL dinosaur poop! That was a huge hit. You can easily soften the brick by adding a ittle water and letting it soak in before digging into it. However, I only gave the kit 3 stars because even at age 5, she was disappointed that the fossil was not a real tooth but a replica. "Replica" became her word of the day and she wants a real tooth not a replica. The box clearly states it contains a replica fossil but in the future, I'd opt for real fossils.
This dinosaur fossil dig kit comes with a dig brickthat has a T-Rex Dino tooth replica in it, a magnifying glass,digging tool, a small brush, a learning guide and fossilizeddinosaur poop. Yes I said dinosaur poop…. Once you breakthrough the dig brick you will find a 31/2 inch replicaof the T-Rex tooth. My grandson and granddaughter thinkit is the coolest thing. I placed newspaper down so that I could just gather up the whole thing in the end and not have white powder all over the yard. My child started from the back side of the stone and was able to locate the T. Rex tooth within a few minutes. It took a little bit of time to chisel and remove the tooth but all was done in under 30 minutes. It entertained the girls for about 5 minutes. Only 1 fossil in it. Kinda of letdown. My grandson had one a few years back for gemstones. He had about 8 or so in there. Took him way more time. Very over priced for what it had.
