I bought it to replace a broken latch. I got halfway home and started thinking about the latch and could not remember if it was two sided. When I looked closer it was only one side took it back but there were no two sided gate latches available that could be locked and unlocked from either side.
Bought this not realizing it was only one side. I wanted to replace my current gate lock/handle but my gate has the ability to open from either side of the gate whereas this only lets you open from one side. However, the new keys that came with it fit in my existing lock so I basically bought a $30 pair of keys.
My vinyl fence was destroyed during hurricane Sally. Could not find the exact latch originally installed when fence went up. Finally did at Lowe's.

Needed a replacement lock for our gate. This looked the same but I was confused because it says 10.24” and I knew the original lock wasn’t that big. Took a chance and ordered it. It is the exact same lock which made it very easy to replace.
I had these locks installed by the fence company when I bought my house 15 years ago. We misplaced the keys, so we purchased new locks so we had control. Come to find out, the key that is in there works my old lock from 15 years ago. This isn't very safe knowing that I can spend $30 to get a key and unlock anybody's fence that has these installed. This company might want to rethink this.
it's exactly what i needed. I used in rather custom installation and bought based on picture alone and was pleased with end result
