This little box looks sleek and is very well made for what it is, good quality plugs and knobs, love the big volume knob, easy to get to without bumping into the others. It is very quiet plugged into my DAW and can get down to surprisingly low sample rates with no glitches, crackles or deterioration of sound input. The only thing bad that I have to say about it is the usb cord it comes with is junk, had a short in it right out of the box. Other than that, downloading the ASIO driver to run it was painless and it comes with some very cool software and VST plugins. Well worth the money!

This replaced my M-audio 2x2m which failed twice. I wanted something affordable with a big volume knob on top as well as a db meter. Not just green or red. This guy fits the bill. I love the record quality from this. It has a nice warm sound. My only dislike about this interface is it doesn’t have direct monitoring. You need software in order to enable direct monitoring. I do live streams and can’t use the outputs because of no direct monitoring. Other than that it’s legit.I love American Musical Supply. They get my order to my door in 2 days. And with the payment plan with 0 interest, I’m able to get a little more.Will always be back for more!!

These days, most interfaces will be of similar quality. The reason I went with Native Instruments is the OUTSTANDING customer support. Not only do they answer questions quickly, they will often give you software for free. Register your products and they will send emails with links to download full software or expansion packs a few times a year. The interface itself is well built and easy to operate. It also has very little latency which was my main concern.I use it for vocals (singing and podcast) and guitar (electric, acoustic and bass)
I bought this as an 'upgrade' for the Komplete Audio 6. The KA6 was very-well built and did its job, but it wasn't a great fit for me (especially since the KA6 Input 3/4 could not be monitored).The KA2 has all the inputs and outputs I need. With two combination jacks, I can connect two mics, two instruments, or one of each without using frankenstein'd cables. The device driver is newer (the KA6 driver hasn't been updated in years). Sample rate can go up to 24/192k (The KA6 stops at 24/96k) - it's a nice option to have, even if I may not go beyond 24/48k for my work.The sound quality, in and out, is still excellent. I can direct monitor each input, or blend in the host system's processing using the INPUT/HOST control. This was my first audio interface. I had browsed a couple of other ones within my budget and was glad I went with this one. The box itself is nice and light, with a sturdy casing. The best part is it sounds really great! It's a great starting point for those looking to start home recording.
bought this in store at NYC.pros: Very good sound quality for the price and size. Speaker output is clean and loud. The big volume knob is just awesome, quick to reach and make fine volume adjustments. LED input meters are very helpful. Input mix knob is very useful. Good value.cons: Headphone output could use more power to drive higher ohm headphones better. Preamps are a bit lacking, could use more power especially for those using dynamic mics. 48v phantom is 1 switch for both inputs, would have been nice if each input had its own 48v switch. Low quality USB cable out of the box, I suggest buying a better one immediately.

Plug and play drivers - Works with my Mac perfectly. I use a USB hub from it and my Arturia Mini KeyLab and its seamless. It comes with a lot of "teaser" software which was nice but would have been even more interesting to get a full line of something from these guys. The headphones preamp is great I use Sennheiser HD800's and some basic Cans from AKG. It allows me to use 24/96 high res and it sounds fantastic. My only wish is that it had a USB C connection rather than an older USB. But that's maybe being picky. Although the Focusrite does do this for like 50 bucks more.
