Almond meal, also known as almond flour, is a common baking ingredient often used in gluten-free recipes. This natural almond meal is made from 100% Australian almonds, and is creamy and speckled in colour as the almonds skins have not been removed prior to being ground. Almonds provide a natural source of protein, dietary fibre and vitamin E. No GMO. No added colours, flavours or preservatives. No added fillers or sweeteners. HOW TO USE Sometimes called almond flour, it is commonly used as an ingredient in cooking including cakes and biscuits as it is a great substitute for grain flours and can also be added to smoothies. GROWING & PROCESSING Once the almonds have been harvested, they are simply ground into a meal and packaged. They have a creamy and speckled colour as the husks or skins have not been removed prior to the grounding. They have not been blanched prior to being ground into meal, so this meal is referred to as natural. No preservatives or additives are combined with the almond meal, its just almonds!
