This is an excellent product. The picture clarity is incredible. We use these units in our delivery vehicles to help monitor driver for speeding fines and accidents. The GPS and speed recording is great.

Event and parking recording is not good ,Even not connecting to mobile , disappointed with the product. My Chinese camera on other car was better than this. Thanks to supercheap staff they checked it and take it back.

The video quality and color is fine but you will struggle to recognise the number plates if the cars are 20m+ away. The microphone is pretty clear. The speed camera alerts are very loud when played back in the recording so I like that it lets you disable them. Not like I need them anyway because I never speed haha.Also, I'm dumb and didn't realise I was supposed to place the static sticker on the windscreen, THEN stick the dashcam on top of that. The dashcam stuck on fine but if I ever want to remove it, it'll leave a bit of a mess. Don't make the same mistake as me :)

Straight forward to install. 2 weeks in and all working well. PC application to view the video is quite good as it shows front and rear and shock readings simultaneously. This is my first dash cam purchase and feel video quality is decent though it becomes harder to read license plates or traffic signs 20m and beyond. It's probably a common shortcoming with dash cams installed behind a windscreen. Also, constantly inserting and removing micro SD cards to transfer videos is time consuming. Otherwise happy with purchase.
Purchased Darlington Supercheap , had a minor issue with one of the cables but the crew there tested it replaced the cable without any issues , fanatic staff helping me and the unit is great like all Navman items I purchased over the years. Thanks Darlington staff . Navman 5/5 unit also
Everything advertised about the dash cam is accurate. Quality is as advertised but as with any dash cam, it’s not phone quality even at the lower res. You can install the front camera in the car park when you leave the store :)
I have owned other dash cameras in the past, this Navman Auto 500 is by far the easiest to set-up. It records both front and back views. Records a crisp clear picture, unintrusive as it fits up behind my rearview mirror, comes with the 32GB sd card which is a bonus. However it needs to include the hard wiring kit in the initial purchase price to be able to incorporate the parking sensor capabilities
The product was excellent value for money and provides excellent video quality front and rear of my vehicle. The added features of the gps/time stamp are great and the verbal traffic warnings are spot on. Excellent product and the recommended installer was quick and excellent. Overall the product and the staff assistance was top notch.
A good camera but the smart box (needed for the parking mode to work) needs to be purchased separately ($80 approx.) and is not available at supercheap auto. Installation of both was $200 minimum. No phone app like other dashcams but so far, so good.

Do yourself a favour and get a microSD to iPhone/Android adapter so you can throw it your phone easily - job done.I recommend this for the average person who just want a mid-range dual channel dashcam that is simple and reliable, especially for older people who don't want to faff around with apps or people who want fewer features = less likelihood of mucking up. Don't even bother with a front channel only unless you have no rear window, this product brings you that peace of mind for an affordable price point.
