Really the best value ebike at the price point. These are very mechanically reliable bikes. The motor & battery have a lot of torque, will get you up any hill and the battery range will let you ride all day or commute all week. The Plus's more premium components are well worth the extra. Highly recommended.

Buying from Leon Cycles in Germany was no harder than the UK. In fact, all the delivery problems were at UK end. Typical. Bike is solid albeit a little heavy but the motor is incredibly strong. I will enjoy getting out and about as I haven't ridden a bike for years and years. I'm 51 and 98kg and it handles it all with ease. 29" fits my 5'10 and 30" inside leg fine. You do still have to pedal but it takes the strain out of it all. I live in a village surrounded by rural hills and I still get a bit of a workout without collapsing in a heap when I get there which means I can cycle back no problem. Battery lasts for ages and I hope to be using minimum assist over time. 48v is definitely recommended over 36v... Far more torque.

Checked several other bike retailers before settling on the Aspen + as being both value for money and a great looking bike. Looks though are irrelevant when you need performance and in this respect the off road capabilities are outstanding. The fat oversize tyres handled rough terrain with ease and funnily enough handled my oversized body equally well. My first ever electric bike required some getting use. Unlike my Kawasaki, don't sit back and expect the bike to do all the work. Power comes on when you pedal. Finally, I do use my Aspen Plus every day to commute to work which is fine, ideally though its better suited to the trails as getting on and off at lights and intersections proved tricky but not impossible without the convenience of a step through commuter ... MoreChecked several other bike retailers before settling on the Aspen + as being both value for money and a great looking bike. After 200 miles( now 26th Oct 2021 1445 miles and allis good ) its clear that the NCM MOSCOW PLUS is a well built and good quality bike for the money. I have the 29 which is a huge bike , Im 6ft 2 tall and 106kg and this bike is plenty big enough for me and unless you are 6ft + I would go for the 27.5 size. I have travelled over 30 miles on a charge on the highest assist level and still had ~40% left and I have really been pushing it to see how the battery performs under heavy load and big Etc hills and its been awesome, remember Im 106kg so its a good battery. Hills are no problem for this bike and I live in Somerset where there are some serious hills and have managed to get up all so far, you do have to put some effort in on the really steep ones but its just a ... MoreAfter 200 miles( now 26th Oct 2021 1445 miles and allis good ) its clear that the NCM MOSCOW PLUS is a well built and good quality bike for the money. Hills are no problem for this bike and I live in Somerset where there are some serious hills and have managed to get up all so far, you do have to put some effort in on the really steep ones but its just a case of dropping down a couple of gears and up you go. The motor assists up to about 17.5 mph and its impressively powerful for Only 250watts , which is the legal limit here in the U.K.. I think that the non plus model would be excellent value and for a lighter rider a would perform very well. To sum up , its a good quality bike and for the money I think very hard to beat, if you can afford the extra go for the plus as the brakes are excellent and the bigger battery gives peace of mind on longer rides.
Waited a little over 2 weeks for the bike , delivered from germany . The bike finally arrived and how the courier got the box to my door without the bike and contents falling out I dont know , the box looked like it had been ripped open for all to see . However the bike inside was well wrapped up and setting up didnt take long . First ride out led to a 16 mile mostly hills try out and I have to say the bike is very capable . Im 17 stone and it made previously sickening hills become a breeze , great looking bike very happy with this purchase however if I was to purchase again it would be from here in uk .
Purchased this bike after a lot of research, it is just as described in the adverts, it took just over a week to arrive and after opening the box I realised there are absolutely no instructions on how to assemble it or how to operate it, just as well that I'm pretty handy and soon worked it out with the help of the internet. The bike is really heavy and I mean heavy, I purchased the 29 er size small, but it is a really big bike I'm just over 5'9" and to be honest it's a bit big for me, it's ok on the road however on tracks and off road it's a bit of a handful in tight places, I wish that I'd gone for the 27 inch size. The battery when full will last for ages as long as you don't use it on the high power setting I've been on three rides now using it on level 3 ( out ... MorePurchased this bike after a lot of research, it is just as described in the adverts, it took just over a week to arrive and after opening the box I realised there are absolutely no instructions on how to assemble it or how to operate it, just as well that I'm pretty handy and soon worked it out with the help of the internet. The battery when full will last for ages as long as you don't use it on the high power setting I've been on three rides now using it on level 3 ( out of 6 ) and only used 20% of its battery life and my trips were for well over an hour non stop, I reckon used carefully you would get 6 to 7 hours use out of it. There is no throttle so you have to peddle continually but this is great it means that you will build up your fitness much quicker, all in all I am very pleased with the quality and would recommend it for a male mainly because of its weight however if there are any budding wonder women out there I suppose they probably would be able to handle it. I have no doubt that this bike will last a very long time. But as a footnote I do want to stress that unless your only going to use it on the road or easy cycle paths and tracks then and your my height then the 29 would be ok, but if you intend to some serious off roading go for the 27 inch. A great bike for a great price.
very good bike for the money. still breaking it in but have noticed the gears slip from time to time, might just need adjusting. bike s 27.5 which should be my size although the handle bars to seat length is a bit short and I am only 5ft 11. might just need to get used to it. battery and motor are superb.
It's early days but after doing 300 kilometers I am very happy with the bike. I'm living in the country and because I ride on a mixture of unsealed, sealed roads and bike trails the bike is a pleasure to ride. The greatest thing of all is that I can now go much further and explore. The battery-assisted power, especially when going up inclines or even just cruising is outstanding. This bike is perfect for my needs.
I have owned my NCM Moscow plus 29 for about 10 days, I have covered 60 miles so far . I am 54 yrs old , 6ft 2 and 106 kg. The bike is plenty big enough for me and i would say the 27.5 would also have been fine size wise and if you are 6ft or less tall I would probably recommend the 27.5. I live in a small village in Somerset which is surrounded by some serous hills , the bike makes these hills a breeze even carrying my 106kg weight which I was quite surprised at. One thing to note is that the bike doesnt have a throttle fitted which I was kinda expecting after watching many review videos etc but it seems that the U.K. version is pedal assist only, I was initially disappointed upon realising this but after 60 miles of riding found its unnecessary. I charged the battery fully when I got the bike and after really putting the bike through its paces and testing on the biggest hills around etc after 30 miles hard use I still had 2 battery bars left out of the 5 when fully charged. The battery didnt drop to 4 bars until 15 miles in so I would think 50 miles would be achievable quite easily with steady use. The bike came almost fully assembled with just pedals and handlebars needing fitting. All in all Im very pleased with my purchase and I would suggest that if you are a smaller and lighter rider the 27.5 with the slightly smaller battery would perform great and would save you 409 also, the Moscow plus has some upgrades such as hydraulic brakes , bigger batter pack and a few higher spec bits so in my opinion is worth the extra if your budget allows. I hope this helps any potential buyers . Its a very good quality bike and I think well with the money whichever model or spec you go for.
The bike is good so far although it's really too early to review. I'm not overly happy with how the pedal assist levels work. Rather than providing varying amounts of power per level at all speeds up to the max of 25km/h, the motor assist cuts out fully after different speeds. I was expecting that, say, level 3 would provide some assistance all the way up to 25km/h. I did have the off-road kit fitted so this may have changed the functionality?
