I had an RBK50 Orbi system that had served me well for many years, but with the NBN upgrading my home to fibre, and some fancy new WiFi 6 devices purchased in the last few months, I knew it was time to upgrade.I’m here to tell you the AXE11000 is worth the money. I’ve seen remarkable speed increases on both my wired and wireless devices. And though I don’t have any 6E devices (yet), I know I’ll be future proof in the years ahead. Very happy with my purchase.

The devices work great and I highly recommend them. The instructions, particularly about the use of the guest network and the IOT are sketchy and to get them right takes some work. You can literally set them up in an hour, IF you don't use any of the bells and whistles. You need to learn how to log into your router on your computer and it doesn't like Safari. Use Chrome. I would have rated these five stars if there were complete instructions/videos on advanced setup. The Netgear website is also hard to traverse.

I have been the IT Administrator for a surgery center for 10 years. We were hit by a lightning strike and I had to get a MESH network ASAP I found the ORBI 6E at a local BEST BUY. I met someone at the store who happen to already install the version one below the one I was buying and he told me how easy it was for him to setup. I did not think to ask him if he had a STATIC IP for his house. We have a STATIC IP and we have a large network with a specific IP scheme for our computers and test machines. So I also had to change the DHCP settings. This system is installed initially by an APP, The app as easy as it is to setup has NO way to do any advanced settings like input static IP settings or change the DHCP rules. That would have saved me an HOUR of searching on my cell for help. Alot of people installing this will not have internet access so an insert with a website for help makes me giggle a bit. When all was said and done the system did work great. I wish AMAZON sold the extra satellites so far I cant find one other then direct from netgear, not the worst problem. I like the 10gig port that will be useful when we upgrade to a 10gig fiber connection and do voice over IP for phones.

Bought this as an add on to a router and two satellites package. At the time there was no router and 3 satellites package being offered. I have the router and 2 satellites down stairs and the last one upstairs with the backhaul being wired as I already had Ethernet switch in my home office upstairs. I attempted to connect without the Ethernet cable and it failed to connect, router is 1 floor down and the two rooms are directly aligned. With the router being nearly directly under the satellite. The structure must be too much for the 5GHz backhaul to negotiate. I don’t mind that part as it offloads one satellite off the 5GHz backhaul and it’s connected at 2.5GB. Ultimately the entire system would be much more efficient if all the satellites are wired connections but ... MoreBought this as an add on to a router and two satellites package. The structure must be too much for the 5GHz backhaul to negotiate. I don’t mind that part as it offloads one satellite off the 5GHz backhaul and it’s connected at 2.5GB. Ultimately the entire system would be much more efficient if all the satellites are wired connections but the two satellites downstairs work satisfactorily and their placement was carefully thought out as one of them provides access to a room directly above it but won’t go much farther while simultaneously connecting ring cameras and door bell out front as well as giving some access in the front yard. Overall as a mesh system this works well compared to other appomches I’ve tried before. Last one was a Netgear nighthawk X10 with 3 extenders, their highest tier. One worked flawlessly as it was wired and set up as an access point in the same space as the second floor. The other two were not and constantly dropped out and have no dedicated backhaul meaning your traffic is cut in half. Thus far the only issues I’ve had is being able to see the connected devices anywhere except on the web interface access control page. A recent app upgrade seems to have remedied this. I just hope that for the price the longevity is good as previous set ups never made it to the 5 year mark before they started having issues dropping out speed and needing to be rebooted before finally ceasing to work. The router and satellites are not small. I’m OK with this as it takes some room for power and a decent antenna array. I chose the black to blend in a bit better.
I have a router and 4 satellites and I probably need a couple more for my large house with thick walls. When it works it's great but I have a range of devices (latest Pixel phones, latest iPhones, Google Chromecast TV) that frequently get a "connected but no internet" error after physically leaving/returning to the house or turning a device off and on. In these situations the internet is working just fine for all other connected devices. I keep having to "forget" my network on the device and set up new again. If this was one or two devices then I would figure it's not the mesh system however it's a frequent problem with 7+ newer devices. I'm in SoCal and my brother in Hong Kong tells me he has the same problem and said "I wish I had told you before you bought it". I want it to just work like the previous mesh system from a competitor. I upgraded to this quad band system to get fast speed but it's been a big step backwards in reliability. This new AXE11000 is too expensive to be so unreliable for me. On another note, at Amazon 20% of the reviews for this product are 1 star. Here at the Netgear website, only 6% of reviews are 1 star. Wondering if the reviewers here are better at troubleshooting.
I recently purchased the NETGEAR Orbi AXE11000 Quad-Band Mesh WiFi 6E System (White) and I am beyond impressed with its performance. This system has truly revolutionized my home network, providing lightning-fast speeds and seamless coverage throughout my entire house. The setup process was a breeze, and I had the system up and running in no time. The sleek white design of the devices also looks great in my home. But what really sets this system apart is the advanced WiFi 6E technology, which has significantly increased the speed and capacity of my network.Whether I'm streaming 4K video, gaming online, or simply browsing the web, the NETGEAR Orbi AXE11000 Quad-Band Mesh WiFi 6E System delivers an incredible experience. I highly recommend this product to anyone ... MoreI recently purchased the NETGEAR Orbi AXE11000 Quad-Band Mesh WiFi 6E System (White) and I am beyond impressed with its performance. This is easy to set up and has worked perfectly in our 1800 square foot home along with allowing my in-laws home in the unattached garage to receive exactly the same fast internet we receive in the main home. NOTE: if using with Starlink YOU MUST PLACE a basic unmanaged switch between the Starlink Router and the Netgear Router. Trust me! I tried it without and researched it online for a few days. Luckily came across a few people that wrote about exactly this issue with this specific Orbi and Starlink. As soon as I bought the cheap switch at Best Buy. Everything connected perfectly. It has something to do with Starlink and Orbi 960 not giving or receiving an IP address from each other (also worded online as issues with "handshaking" between the two products. This Orbi Router is powerful and maintains internet steady all over our home and our acreage in the mountains of NC!
I compared NetGear Orbi AXE11000 6E to Eero Pro 6E and found that Orbi had a by far better range per satellite hands down. but the real difference was in reliability and stability - Eero gave me good speeds, with 6 satellites compared to 3 Orbi AXE11000, however, Eero was "flaky" and the whole system dropped to offline status 3-4 times in a day. Orbi never did that, and my smart home devices connected quickly and easily to Orbi, on the first try. not the case with Eero. Orbi is a true best of the best, and proof that you get what you pay for.
The Orbi Mesh 6E system is truly unbelievable. It is the fastest throughput mesh system I have ever experienced with very little drop off in speed from the ISP source in our home. We have a large home that had a number of dead spots using the Google mesh system previously. Using our previous Google mesh system the speeds dropped precipitously and even worse, their system regularly would completely drop the signal entirely, sometimes dozens of times a day. Quite frustrating. When I heard about the Orbi Mesh 6E system, it seemed too good to be true, particularly with a higher price point. The Orbi AXE 11000 has been a godsend for us with even higher speeds and only one or two brief drops (total) in the months since we installed the system. Additionally, we could never quite solve one big dead spot with a separate guest house next to our home. So, I added a single satellite to the guest house and the problem was solved. If I could give this product 10 stars, I would do so...! Outstanding product for our unique needs and really incredible speeds.
Wifi is good, setup was easy but I'm on my third orbi setup so I kinda know what I am doing.I am having trouble transferring my armor plan to the new unit and tech support has not responded to my recent inquiry over it (They are kinda slow). As a sidenote, I do no mind paying for Armor security as I would have to buy antivirus protection for my devices anyway. However, Netgears monitization of EVERYTHING is disgusting. Want basic parental control, you have to pay for it. Want tech support after a year, you pay for it. Lastly, 3 days after I bought this at $1499 Costco has it for $200 less but netgear doesn't feel they have to match prices.
